OH god.  You already no how some people feel about "paying" for a game.  Don't bring paid dlc into the mix     Well the rifle just immasculated the shotgun.  Instead of getting just 3 shots, I get 12 brutally effective blows.  Kind of makes me think the shogun needs rebalancing to go through enemies to make the 100+ I have to spend on them viable for hordes.  The $200 for 12 shots on a much more powerful weapon seems to make the shotgun the worst weapon in the game to get, only being sl double the damage of the revolver, but have 3 less shots.  I'm actually more confertable running rifles for my guys and buying ammo for them as it has the most shots per pack I see.  Granted, will probably not let them equip ammo for it in bank heists as killing isn't the main goal but for general mayham in medkit missions a
 nd the like, and farming drugs, 12 shots go a long way.  Especially when the group finally formas right when a police horde comes nad 3 shots take down officers in a syncronated storm of death.

Now that would be interesting.

Hi.I think, the more you give your characters food, the faster they heel, although i could be wrong about that.As for games being only $10 I am only going off of what I heard. I know there are more expensive games out there, I'd not pay $60 for a game though, no matter how good it it is. That to me, is just to much.I understand that the demo is unlimited, apart from 2 areas, that voice actors and coders need to be payed and so on, perhaps I should have waited, in fact I will do that from now on to see if others buy games and what they think.I mean, it's a good game but does get boring after a while of doing the same things.How would I improve it? I don't really know, perhaps add more party members to your team, so that you can take 6, or maybe commands to make all of your team follow you, and other things like that, or a collect money command. So you'd do the killing and your party would do the collecting.Another thing 
 which I think would be nice, is a story mode. OH and a way to split food equally between all party members.

I think that characters need to heal faster as they raise in level. I find that having to wait 10 minutes for my level 25 character to heal is... well, too long. I can't iamgine what it will be like at level 50

Update available. Sory I was a bit late, but I ran into homework and the like. But there you go. One thing i'd like to explain on here, is sleep. Ok, so heres the thing. On the game, I get a lot of questions, how do I wake up, why can't we wake up on our owns, etc. So I just wanted to throw you this all out here so I don't have to keep explaining it 200 times and so hopefully some of you can understand it a bit more. As stated, this game, is supposed to be realistic. People want sleep to go by fast, to wake up on there own, etc. But that's not happening. It can't. When your sleeping you can't tell your body hey, I want to wake up now. It just doesn't really happen. You sleep for as long as your body wants you too, or, if you have an alarm, that works as well. Or if someone comes up to you, or if you get punched, etc. If anyone really needs better description just ask. Also, just for anyone curious, I never new this till now, but the current stw s
 ourcecode is a total of 249.7099609375 kb, which is equal to 10665 lines of code! This isn't including my modified sound pool and menu class. Just though it was kinda intresting, so there ya are. Well, enjoy the update, see ya soon.

...I's sort of hard to make something out of nothing.  We all know that most of the people here who work on games tend to be people who do this on their spare time, and a their own expense with gathering said libraries, paying people for their time speaking, and the ammount of time it takes to write all this in code, make sure everything isn't causing your computer is self destructing, and then releasing it.  As someone said 2 posts ago, this is just the initial release of the game.  More changes will probably come soon with features to expand everything out more.  And no one can expect the game to get any better, or future games to be better when they are not buying it, or trying to get their cash back.      Erg, the way I sort of invision buying audiogames and games from independent videogame developers as well is a donation.  If you support the developer, and wish for him to produce better quality stuff whether the funds 
 do anything, or if the developers appreciate the gesture, than they will most likely deliver.  I bought the game since I sort of liked the game and think it can improve more with updated releases.  Though if no one wants to buy it, or will not buy until more features are made...well again, you cannot make anything great very easily from nothing.   P.S: For those who say that great mainstream games are available for $10, you either are referring to the bargin bin, or steam stuff that was made most likely with a kick-starter page or other type of donations.  Many independent developers usually don't have the unds to make something to then sell at a low price, one example of a game that was funded through donations and got great (and one some of us play)  Is Skull Girls.  Most of the development was funded by donations, which meant the costs of development were covered and allowed the game to be sold at a low price.  &nbs
 p;   The other games are most likely sold at bargin prices years after release.  Normally I notice not too many big name developers are kind enough to work on a project and then sell it for $10.  It's $60 or so these days, and it might go higher.  I haven't seen a big game yet sold for $10 that was not either a donation funded independent game, or a game already stagnating for a few years.

Hi,The amount of complaints I'm seeing now are ridiculous. It's too much. It doesn't do enough for the price. I want my money back because it got boring. Instead put in a suggestion of how you think it should be made a better game.Nobody is arming a bomb and telling you to buy the game, or you'll be thrown into it. The demo doesn't have a 15 minute, or 15 day time limit so that you can see if it's something you want to purchase. Sitting here and basically saying you didn't read the manual or evaluate it is like saying oo, I want these clothes, but not actually trying them on or looking at them.If you're not a fan of this kind of thing, fine, but don't slam the devs for the work they put into it. Programming, voice acting, and music composition takes time, and they want compensation for what they do. I doubt they put this game together in a week and said it's finished. If that was the case, we'd have a much 
 simpler game where you just kill as many people in one go as you can. But there's a weapons system, AI, different areas with their own characteristics, etc. If they thought it was not meant to be a commercial game because it's not that complex, they would have made it free. Actors need to be paid in addition to musicians, as well as sound libraries needing to be purchased. As far as the higher price, the devs don't get million dollar funds to throw around for design and game ideas, and it's a smaller market, as previous posters have stated, so the price is higher.For those wanting unlockables, I'm sure that's in the works, but I'd emagine the money that has been put into this release has to be made back first. It's a team effort as well, so that price is split.I appreciate the work put into this game, and sorry for getting a bit harsh on some points. I'd just like for people to take things into consideration, both in

The thing is, people make these games sound exciting with all these new features and we buy them to find they're the same, a side scroller where you just mash buttons to killl things. That's right about .mp3 licensing. The Unity engine used to be able to use them, but it switched to .ogg. So you can use compressed sounds, they just have to be in the .ogg format. If the .mp3 patents expire then who knows, but Unity made the switch and .ogg isn't a bad format. Entombed 1 used entirely .wav format - not because I felt it needed .wav, but that's all the XNA engine allowed.As far as new pets, yes, that's entirely possible. You can make them anything you dream up.

I think I rushed the purchase a little for this game. Sorta regretting it now. killing the same cops over and over while they get harder as you level, while at the same time making the player feel like they aren't accomplishing much of anything isn't such a great feeling. There's really no sorta story, or much progression. Do I just continue to kill indefinitely till I reach my objective or a high enough level where I just get bored, and/or things get so overwhelming that I just stop playing. I mean the idea sounded good in theory, and I figured it'd be so when I purchased this game, but meh, it just appears to be another of those overwhelm the player with sound for no reason till they die sorta games. if I could get a refund I'd do so in a heart beat. no offense to the devs, I know they work hard to develop this for us, but I guess I'm just frustrated at my self more than anything., I don't have that kinda money to toss around on things, and thi

Hi Philip. I have a bit of a suggestion. when you say change the volume of the speech. It is at 0 at it's loudest and_100 at it's softest. Could you change this to have the loudest set at 100 and softest at 0 Or maybe even 1 as if it was set to 0 that would make it seem as if there should be no speechat 0.

the word.OK but seriously, yeah that would be a pretty cool idea in my opinion, definitely something useful, although seeing it from both sides I can also see why folks would think a forum to be better. Although, with that mindset, it's also safe to say a cms of sorts would be good, or even just some hand coded thing... but really. Github seems like the best idea at this point, because the only people who would be using it anyways were coders, and such people should be ready for complecation--not even bgt can take that away.

Random bug, and probably one Aprone has been aware of for some time: the list of items navigated with the bracket keys is sometimes overly verbose, and you are never returned to the beginning like you are the incoming chat messages list.I say "verbose" because, at least for me, recording which direction you turn or the names of menus you open should be disabled. I tend to use this list for checking which item I just picked up, or what a server message said. Others may use it differently, of course, but I think we can all agree that no one will be using this for checking the direction they just turned or what menu was opened.The other problem is that you are never returned to the start of this list. You check an item on it for the first time since starting Swamp, and you're at the first item, as expected. Thereafter, though, focus remains on that item as it moves further and further back in the list, until you eventually wind up on item 50. To quickly c
 heck the most recent item even a few minutes later requires you to hold down the left bracket key until you reach the start of the list, then locate the item in question from there. The chat list will automatically move you to the most recent item after a certain interval has passed during which you didn't access the list, and I'd love for the game messages list to behave in the same way. Hi.Yeah, I think that selling stuff on the black market should be aloud, since, that's what criminals do...I'd highly recommend wearing headphones for this game, it's a lot more easier to play.Oh and an auto updater feature would be very nice.A bit on the price, I'd take it down a little to be honest, I'm not a game developer but I've seen sighted games going for £10 or even @15 for good games. the £20/30 games are usually a lot better and while this game is good, and I did pay for it myself just to see what it unlocked, I'd not put it in the 20 to 30 dollars/pounds category of great game. I'd put it in the 10 to 15 category of good.If that offends, well take a look at sited games. I'm honestly beginning to come to realize that audiogames cost way to much sometimes for what you get. I know there's no way I can get my money back but I'd just think about what I said. Mainstream games are a lot cheaper and can honestly do a lot more in my opinion.Is it a good game, yes, will it be improved, yes, do I think the price is a good price for what we get, no.

Hi.I'm still on the demo. I have a few questions. I managed to get the pistol which is pretty cool. Is the revolver more damaging?Secondly, while in the hospital, I noticed that the medkit apply sound was playing when I wasn't using one. Are the enemies smart enough to use medkits to heal? Regarding the cops, I found that the area became way too crouded with cops. I found it hard to kill them even with the pistol. Is this by design? Any tips for killing so many enemies like that? I also find I getconfused when attacking cops. The hit sounds for both the player and enemies sound the same. Maybe it's because I'm not using headphones.Anyway, I am liking this the more I play the demo. I am strongly considering purchasing this. Keep up the great work.

So uh, any reason why I can't sell my stockpile of spare weapons to the black market?  Would be nice to sell off some stuff I dn't use while clearing out my inventory.  the current trash system is sort of too slow for this task.  That and it might actually make one be able to raise someone's loyalty via buying it from thousands in liberated revolver sales.  Though it would be awkward if weapons sold less than the ammo.

Anybody here interested in Stenography?

Hello y'all,I was wondering how many people were interested in stenography. My interest came from the fact that I used to write in phonetics or phonemes when I was coding things for DECtalk and stuff like that, and I thought it would be interesting to do. I've heard of a programme out there called Steno CAT, but I'm not sure how accessible it is. I'm also unsure if you're supposed to use it with a stenotype keyboard, or if aa additional keyboard layout is included, sort of like the Dvorak keyboard layout.I was also thinking that stenography could be used as a captioning tool for deaf-blind people as well, although I don't know if there's requirement to be certified through training for professional transcription, or if these things are also available for hobbyists and amateurs as well.What are your thoughts?

Ok so i'm working on another update, the final update before I can say the sleep system is 100 percent complete! People complained about it but guys I did warn you, this wasn't complete. But from now on after I release the update if you fall asleep before you log off, you will wake when you log on. Also, you will instantly wake up if your health changes. Meaning someone punched you or something, you will snap awake faster than you can even think about it. Also I will make the game save weather you are sitting or standing as well. Expect an update by 9:30 cst

@janagirl:  Which bug with the Revolver?  If it was for the blackmarket that's not a bug.  You didn't buy a revolver, you just bought it's ammo that gets placed in the base's inventory, not the haracters.  To apply the ammo onto a minion, just go to manage items, equip items, and your revolver ammunition will be there.     Graned, I'm now at the part of the game where police officers drop 2-4 packs of revolver ammo each, and the civlians are now armed with istols.  I wonder if there's a point in the game where civilians will be running around with shotguns or whatever is above from there.  I guess you become that horrifying.      I'm curious what the next weapon up from shotuns will be.  I know I usually go check the weapon shop when the blackmarket starts selling another type of ammo to go grab it from the store but still.  Also, I kind of find the shotgun underp
 owered if your using it alone.  The damage is nearly 3x the damage of the revolver, but as I said before, it tends to take two shots out of the 3 shots to kill an offier.  And you go through your ammo packs fast with the shotgun just having 3 shots.  Now if the shotgun is able to hit more than one person going through it like how most shooters display the shotgun as a multiple person knockdown weapon (I.e: Resident Evil 4) that would be nice, but the weapon seems to only hit one target.  Granted, all 3 gangmemebers with shotguns = fun times while it shortly lasts.  Though if shotguns were to hit through targets, I would obviously blow al my cash keeping the crowd control weapon stocked up to last missions longer.  Good for those medkit runs where one wants to farm as many to last a few bank heists or weapon shop lootings.

Jude, welcome to the forum, even if it is due to the unfortunate football accident the boy suffered.  There are indeed many games and I am sure you will find several that he will enjoy.  We may be able to help narrow down good games for him to start out with, but we would need to know both his gaming interests, and any helpful information about his current mental abilities.  I wish I had a more specific way to ask that  question.For example, depending on how severe his injury is, a game like chess might be more than he can handle, or a game like tic-tac-toe might be too simple and boring.  Without any information we wouldn't be able to help guess what things he should start trying.

I agree dark.each disk is a separate folder and I listen to the entire folder in my player.it also helps when for example I need to go away and stop the book for example.In theory if there are no stops between tracks and as long as you don't shuffle the book you shouldn't notice any breaks.I have an audiobook on cd which I will probably want to listen in order on my computer and will probably do it that way to.

Hi all.after playing blue rose and after looking at the site for games on ren py.I discovered that a lot were not accessable or full rpgs or poor  quality plot etc.Its just an idea and I am not sure how I'd do this, but I do wander how easy it is to write a ren py game, visual novel, rpg etc with audio files rather than pictures obviously or maybe with pictures of things to for sighted and blind.I am not sure how to proceed though since I have only done basic programming at school and that was 10 or so years ago now.I programed _javascript_ and pascal mainly at that time.

Hi, actualy the only things that are int are the values the function is returning. Some of the peramiters of the function are actually variables that get changed based on the input. I would have used pointers, but for some reason bgt only lets you use those in classes, so...

No fiddling round was what I am doing.I have a topic in general renpy a possible gaming environment.Having just been refunded the games I got from winterwolves I can safely say that since I have not got any messages from moewars the only other game I was looking at and with the poor quality of most ren py games on the ren py gaming list even those that are accessable, that right now ren py is not for now a viable gaming platform.Ofcause I will be looking at the list each year and seeing what takes my fancy with the limited themes ren py seems to encourage.Ren py will probably be hit and miss.From my discussion with winterwolves for example while the blind can play straight visual novels with choices the rpg element of the engine especially once interactive buttons and the like are added, is completely a no go for us.Pluss once the engine is customised for other things its no good.So we can't use anything bar standard games so we are r
 elying on the story.I have no idea how to write in ren py but if we could put audio games as visual novels with rpg elements with audio buttons and the like I do wander if they could work in our favour.Right now though it doesn't look like it matters to much.Most of the games are quite poor quality and what there is is a bit hit and miss.I spent 3 days after playing blue rose trying to find something that worked and wanting to play so bad.I can only assume without saying words like crap and other such things that the engine is still not ready for primetime and as things go we will have to look at it as it goes on.There is a lot of teen fantasy types of games.The sad thing is that we as blind can only really play standard visual novels though after I did a little playing I think we can play simple rpgs to like the unknowns series.We can't play exploration or full graphical games sadly even if they have good voice supports.Still I do wander how hard it is to write ren py games especially if you are a pythoner since ren py is just a python/ java port so in theory if you know either of those it should be able to be written.It uses pygame and sdl as core libraries  and is free itself.The download gives you windows mac and Linux out of the box and editers jedit and standard as well as ios and android can be downloaded and installed as free packages along with the sdks and tutorials and samples so that's most of the work done for you.

My understanding of the mp3 license is that if your program decodes or encodes mp3 directly it must pay the license fees.One common, and to my understanding legal, way around this is that Apple and Microsoft pay the licensing fees for their operating systems.This allows your program to ask the operating system to decode and play the mp3, rather than doing the decoding itself, thereby remaining legal.This is why you can make media players or games that play mp3 while still remaining legal.The downsides to this are:1. You have to modify your mp3 playing code based on whether you are running on Windows or Mac OS X as they have different APIs.2. Handing the decoding and playing of the sound off to the operating system limits what you can do with it.For instance C# provides an AudioVideoPlayback library that will play mp3 or wav through the operating system.This library requires you to provide the path to the file, which means the file m

Hmmm.what I'd really like as a windows user is something that can use internal speech.I don't own an external synth anymore.And while I do have rather old dos readers they need an external synth to work.What I'd like is something that would run as a terminal in windows but be able to have the supports so nvda could use it or have its own screenreader with commands and such.I'd be interested how to configure my own dosbox reader with this daum and what reader to use.I have not used jaws for dos but if I can use that with daum then hmm I'll try it.

I'm not sure but I think it maybe unlocked at lv 50, or somewhere near there.  Unless its another factor that handles it.  Awkwardly enough its actually great for bank heists as the ais make short work of the vaults and 8 times out of 10 immediately go to escape the bank instead of sticking around to fight the cops.  However, on ertian other missions I rather take command myself to prevent things from going awkward, such as the lowest llevel member trying to tank multiple revolver shots than the higher def and shielded member taking the blows instead.  Though, I do wish I had some control o what my members did when not participating and acted like a guide to direct them and organize them in groups, maybe go for fully grouped when the cops come near, or for one of the members to stay ont he eastern side of the fiel dgathering medkits and other stuff from those missions while two shotgun wielding thugs blast the police away.    Actually for 
 another possible approach to this game if anyone ever has an iea like this maybe to ditch the controlled aspect all together and go for a more rts type approach with the game.  May also work to creat e a 2d x/y access map where one can direct troops around maps o perform their objects, and to setup cover points for the police.  Would be fun in this approach making sure nothing goes wrong while your troops handle security and the incoming police.  One can still have some direct control of the people if you want to order them to plce explosives somewhere, maybe pausing the actions to direct it more clearly before resuming.  One can then aim to setup different varriations of levels that will require more members to pull off and some strategy in easily getting through a level with minimal issue, or not cover your flanks and have the police burst in on all sides while you open the 5 foot  thick steel vault.    Though that's a totally d
 ifferent thing.  What is available is actually still great and fun in its own right once one gets a feel for how things work.

Hmm, thats rough. Well the issue is not the lack of audiogames, it's the ability to learn new concepts so something simple. Well Death on the road by Oriol Gomez would be a good one. Think of it as blindie Frogger. You basically go mad from your O&M (Orientation and mobility) instructor nagging at you, so you cross the road over and over, it only uses the up and down arrows. enter and escape, and typing in a name for sending the score which is optional. There's The Road to Rage abbreviated RTR, which is a loose association with call of duty. Although it needs to have people on it to work. There's swamp, a zombie first person shooter, but that can be tricky. Hmm, I know someone can make better suggestions. There's the BGT shockshot example game, there all ya gotta do is center the sound, then get the highest pitch then hit space to fire the gun, do that 10 times then get a score.

@Jude, the problem with the XBox is none of the games were made with a blind person in mind so are fairly un accessible. Some blind players have managed to play a few XBox games through trial and error or through complex memorization. In either case given this person's diminished mental capacity I'm not sure I can suggest any that would suit him.That said, as far as audio games goes there is quite a bit of choice. Most of them are for Windows, and there are quite a number for iOS devices like the Apple iPhone. If your client has access to either one of those operating systems I think I could suggest a number of games he might enjoy.

@Dark, unfortunately, Lukas is quite correct. There are rather hefty licenses for the use of mp3 nowadays which prevents it from being included or used in a game. Most people end up paying the fees or do so without the copyright holder's permission, but that would be the reason many developers don't use mp3. The cost of the licenses is forcing ogg or some other format to take precedence over mp3 for developmental use.

@Dranelement, I haven't had the time to go through your code to any extent, but one thing that strikes me as wrong as you are declaring your variables as int. You should never use integer variables for this type of calculation as you will lose precision and accuracy by doing so. You should be declaring them as floating point variables, float, in order to retain the accuracy you want/need for this type of calculation.

A bit of a breakthrough in accessible dos emulation

This afternoon, while doing something completely unrelated I stumbled on daum dosbox. Basically, it's a fork of Dosbox which includes various patches and adds a few features like printer support. It's also way more customizable and seems to emulate certain things better. The main problem with using Dosbox with dos screen readers is that, while you can review the screen, you won't get any automatic screen echo which can be a little annoying. I figured might as wel try running jaws under daum and see if it works better... And what do you know, it actually does.Because it's getting a bit late, I'll see about posting a preconfigured package for both Windows and Mac tomorrow. The way I got it to work is using the sound blaster speech so games that play sounds may not play them, unless you use the PC speaker. That having been said I don't see why not something like the virtual BNS wouldn't work with this as well. The only other problem that coul
 d potentially suck is that some games like drone cause dosbox to freeze if you run them with a screen reader loaded and EMS turned on. Turning it off helps, but you lose all expanded memory, leaving you with only 640k of ram to play with. I have a few ideas on how this could maybe be fixed, but in either case this makes me very happy.

Hi,  I have been struggling to get a couple of functions in my latest project to do what they're supposed to, and was wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions.Basically what's supposed to happen is this. When you fire a gun, the game checks to see if it intersects each enemy, which, in code, is a circle with a radius of 2. Hello, apologies if I have posted in the wrong place.  I was directed to this forum from the gaming charity Special Effect.  I am not a gamer so will not be good with technical terms, so please bear with me! I am a speech and language therapist who works with people who have sustained brain injuries.  I am currently working with a 16 year old boy who had a brain injury after heading a football.  He is currently in a wheelchair, and has lost his sight, although it is hoped that it will come back in time.  His main interest apart from playing football was playing Xbox.  Both are not possible at the moment.  It's a desperately sad case - this time last year he was a normal 16 year old boy.My questions are:Are there any xbox games that work if you can rely on audio only? Or any modifications that can be made?  His cognition is impaired, so it would be good if he could play games in the format he was used to.Failing that, h

Audiograbber will also do this, and it's a handy way to get audio from cds without track info as well as convert to different formats, see http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ for details. I will say though personally I don't mind ripping each disk as a separate folder, sinse either in Winamp on my harddrive or on my victor stream they will play continuously anyway, indeed when listening in Winamp directly separate files are slightly better. There is also a way to get around the folder  problem in Itunes, so that an audiobook in separate files or even subfolders will play mostly alright. Open the device manager in Itunes, find your Iphone (or I assume Ipad or Ipod), go into the music list, and use the "new playlist" button to create a playlist, then from the tree where your new playlist is, hit tab three times and copy your folder, and vuala, (don't forget to name your playlist some
 thing more informative than playlist 1 so you can find it in the playlists tab).This works %90 of the time, even with books with subfolders, although it occasionally has odd misses if the id tags don't match up, for example when I copied my we're alive folder with all the episodes it played episode 20 after episode 2, and it was necessary to go down the playlist on my Iphone and find the correct files. It's a miner pest, but it's doable, although once I stopped using my Iphone and silly itunes after Apple removed the side bar lables in Itunes twelve I was amazed just how much easier it was using my victor stream where I could simply copy across all the folders I wanted as I wanted on the Usb, (very handy sinse I have my audiobooks indexed by author and series and numbered appropriately).

@lucas, I  did think that rooms were one square, though obviously with up to four possible exits, and I don't recall seeing any larger rooms in the demo but we'll see. One interesting thing is that I believe Jason is planning to include searching rooms for hidden items and secrets, but in a more instant, D&D type of way based on the search skills of your party, though as he's not mentioned searching I'm not sure. Searching larger rooms square by square for hidden things might be interesting though, especially if tied to some sort of search skill of your party or some enate abilities of certain races, (dwarvish infra vision etc). I would be a tad surprised if mp3 use was so restricted sinse I've definitely encountered  a large number of freeware or indi commercial projects that use mp3 files or indeed let you use your own mp3 files, though as you said the licensing might have got stricter (bloody copywrite!), if so it makes sense
  why jason wouldn't be able to include mp3 files in the game, sinse I certainly wouldn't want anythingnasty and legal to happen, albeit it's rather stupid from a logical angle to be forbidden from compression of a sound wave .What next, you'll need to pay coka cola for use of the colour red? .

Plus I don't think rooms are going to be only one square in size. The difference is that when there is an enemy or an item in a room, you'll notice it right away, so you won't have to make sure you manually walked into every single corner of the room just to be absolutely certain you didn't miss anything, etc.This way, you will still be able to do that if you so wish but at the same time you'll get everything of interest that's in the room at one glance, which seems both more convenient and logical to me.At least this is how I understand what Jason has said so far.Dark, I may be wrong here but I believe that you have to buy a commercial licence to use the MP3 format in a commercial product, and include their licence agreement in your product if you want to be 100% legally clear. Riiight, lv 22 scrub attempts to take over the gang when against an lv 49 criminal boss with advanced stats...that didn't end well for him.  Wha was funnier was that he somehow missed using a shotgun and I killed him with me wee revolver.   The the shotgun is an odd weapon for me.  as strong as it is, the three shots is usually only enough to kill one cop after 2 hits.  And leaving me with one shot,t he next horde of cos come in and haha, fail.   Granted, the times I could supply shotgun shells to all my dudes, they wrecked the everything.  Too bad I can't tell them to stop wasting their shots on the bank vaults and to save those for the police.  Grante dit seem smy money troubles are a bit lifted...that and the ai together tends to stick together barring a few fails when doing full ai mode.  They can rip apart cops fairly quickly before they can fire back unless a huge horde comes in. then my parnners have the
  wise idea to attack randomly while more and more ops run ain nd I can communicate to one of them to gtfo you have accomplished your task, now run.   ...also anyone know how drugs work. I can't tell if they are a temporary boost to stats or if it actually increases stats.  If that's the case I should see if I can farm drugs to do that.  Being able to smile off revolver shots with some defense drugs+the latest shield would make me a fun tank.  granted, being able to jump over shots at the right moment I guess would also help.  .  Okay, in regards to dealing with hordes, I notced a lot of the areas are devoid of anything sometimes.  The factory and its electric machine of doom made me think some levels should have some cover via stuff to jump over.  Walking up next to something and crouching via hoding down should make one use the item as cover while firing back, maybe either gaining a massive boost in defense, 
 or having the shots miss more often.  Granted the downside would be your slower to turn around if the police or anyone else try to lleap over the barricade.  I don't know, filling the field out with counters and other stuff to cause shots to miss would be a great way to extend missions longer/hold the line at a certain. point.  Though telling your ai partners to stop charging at the cops over the barricade would also help with some quick voice commands or something.  Dear god your not the legendary Leroy Jenkans, stop charging at the enemy like that and expect for it to end well .

Loving the game so far. A request or two, though? Could the sounds of hitting things be turned down slightly? I understand the realism, but it makes it hard to hear approaching enemies at that volume. Also, is there any way you can add a button that will check all items in a list when we're, for example, trashing items? It's very tedious to go through and space bar on every item in the list.Kai

For those people having issues resucing new members for our crew at the prison:  The factory level is your friend.  A single bomb breaks open metal doors to get the more higher quality minions.  What's great is that the police tend to pick up bombs and mines while running to you so when they die, they sometimes drop multiple bombs/mines for you.  Though this does mean you have to be weary of escaping afterwards.  That and the electri c deathtrap in the stage.    Also, having minions collecting bombs and mines for you helps out a ton if they can avoid wasting it at the factory, but the ai seems smart enough to avoid their own bombs after planting.     I'm actually one is consistently running bank to pay their crew's loyality up when I can barely scrape by tha place, and the my needs at the hospital, weapon shop, and a few other laces   My bill tends to get high, and my new members start to lose
  loyality faster than I can shake a stick I.   I sort of thin money should actually go way up when loading in the bank vaults as it sort of feels its cscald to make a group invasion during the first go be paid, but not leave much else if you did more.  Lucky it seems my hapless crew can shatter the vaults in seconds before we can leave, but only getting a max of 2100 at lv 42 is disappointing.  This must be some poor town to guard that little.  Maybe including one more, more armored ault with the big goodies might make doing the bank more worth it and enduring the ciege.  And in honor of those who escape and enter banks from blown open holes in vaults, a special exitway for using a bomb near the back.  if the last vault is destroyed.

oh [[wow]], it sounds .ike there are some compatibility issues with windows 8.1 and winamp. I would use a media player that is still is active called foobar 2000.

Hi,Bryan, yes you have to kill all the cops to rescue the one who got captured. But the mean thing is, that the captured one will have lost all their weapons after you rescue him, so you have to give him new ones which can be a pain especially in the beginning of the game. That's why I ended up exiting and loading my game whenever someone gets captured. Regarding my team members, maybe I'm just very bad at this game or I'm luck with my team, because they always do seem to do much better than myself during missions.  But I think that may be because I took the time to get them close to my level at the bar before I took all of them on missions with me.

Hi all,To clear up any potential confusion, I have modified the term "first person shooter" to "side scroller" instead. The change will be made on the website within the next day or two, and in the manual in the next minor release of the game. In this release, I will also be looking into the XP issue. LOL I did manage to recruit someone, but he got captured on the farm. I'm not sure how the police station actually works. Do you have to kill everyone you come acros to rescue your teammate?

I've actually been going through entirely solo at this point. I find that extra team mates just get in the way most of the time, and end up getting captured. The game is a blast though for sure. Also, thanks for the tip about the base's inventory, I didn't realize that. Well now I just have lots of ammo haha.

I was going to say this type of game isn't my cup of tea. Then I played it. I haven't been able to recruit anyone yet adI'm still playing the demo, but I do plan on buying it at some point. My birthday's at the end of June so maybe I'll treat myself then. This game is an excellent way to work out one's aggression LOL.

Hi,Stirlock, purchasing cardridges for the revolver works perfectly fine for me. After purchasing, they are in your bases inventory and you have to equip them first, it's not like with things you find in stages which automatically are on your character.A tip for everyone who gets slaughtered by too many cops at once, I noticed that throwing bottles from the bar at people stuns them for a few seconds. This also means they can't shoot you during that time. I found that a great help in trying to lessen the shooting around me a bit. This game is really great, amazing voice acting and really cool music. And I was looking for a game in which I can just run around and beat up other people anyway, so thanks for that!
