I heard an unclear demo of it and the hq version sounds a bit like svox. And, weird. On her particular device there was no google tts, only samsung tts, and I wonder, now that you mention it, is there a way to get that hq samsung tts on older devices like my samsung galaxy tab3? All I see in the samsung tts settings, we have language, and settings for samsung tts. In the settings for samsung tts, is a list of voices, but it seems like only one voice per language, like Alice for US English, Elizabeth for UK etc.

@Jack,It appears that Samsung gives updates only in new devices, and does not choose to integrate or let the customers install them in older phones. For example, I have a galaxy s3, and Galaxy s4 has a very nice application called Samsung optical reader, which should do a similar job to KNFB reader. But I cant install it and Samsung hasnt released any update for this phone. The Samsung TTS is made up of Xvox voices. Whenever I change the language of the Samsung TTS, it turns up a dialog box telling me to download the high quality corresponding to that voice, if its not been already downloaded. Also when you go to the language of Samsung TTS, in the right side of each voice, there should be a button to download the HQ voice.At least thats what I can see here in my device. Maybe samsung has the tendency to produce new devices and fill them with brand new features and let the older ones stick with the existing features which are built in. This is n

Hello,In some ways I like this game even more than castaways. But I still cant fully understand it. I dont know how to help ingered people with broken legs or ancles, or how to help someone with frostbyte. Ok, so I am assuming that when Yukio says that the hyper yoyo will appear between electron and crystal mines, he is referring to stage 6. I have just redone all of stage 6, but I saw no hyper yoyo. I already have all of the other yoyos before this one: Regular, super, and triple. So what am I doing wrong? Its not in 6-1. The only thing I see there is the laser machine gun. In 6-2, there is nothing, and in the secret landing spot there are only boxes next to a river, but no hyper yoyo. Nothing at all in levels 6-3 or 6-4. So exactly what am I missing? Help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, thanks. The game-play length is roughly 4.5 to 5 hours. So pretty decent. The game system is basically completed and audio was professionally recorded with music and voices specificallyfor this game, so were not waiting on any audio. This release time frame is much easier to estimate than other titles.Clock tower Chronicles completion is definitely very close, but needing some more dialogue and testing. I landed in 6-2, yes. Only boxes next to the river. In 6-1 if I land, there is just the switch that gives the regular yoyo. I assumed that 6-3 would not count, since it is a landing level. And there is no landing in 6-4.

This is useful in determining what cars would work best on a track as you build it. This, unlike the game itself, will not be limited to cars you have unlocked; its meant for you to be able to design tracks exactly how youd like it, so you can determine the vehicles that should and should not race on it before putting it in the actual game.*note:* Im gonna bust out laughing at the clever little dude who decides to test a cop car on a track and make it have as much difficulty as possible on purpose. Im seriously gonna laugh! ))Every day, we are closer to the beta testing folder. I cant wait to share my work! Another thing guys, the opponent AI, Im afraid, will need to be stripped out for the time being, it desperately needs a rewrite. But dont worry, this will not hinder the production of an audio demo; in fact, it will force me to demonstrate both the track builder and the gears system in one recording, which should be good news!

hi all. So for some reason yesterday I ran vip mud and the soundpack worked for the mud. I enjoyed the game but when I got on this morning the sounds would not play and the sound pack was gone. I redownloaded the pack and tried to do all the steps in the read me but I did not have a folder in the vip mud folder with the name of the mud. could someone make a recording of all the steps to install the pack because I want to go back and play this cool game.

Hay Nick.The cheatsheet.txt file is not included in the current version of the stage.It and answers.txt will be merged into a single file before the final release.also, the final release will; hopefully; contain background score for some of the sceens, as well as a longer true ending.Whats their now is just a kind of placeholder, as the final ending will also contain the setup for the post-game content.if Aaron baker doesnt get back to me by October 1, Im going to contact him regarding his status and to see when; if at all; he can record his lines.Until then, Ill continue to take bug reports and fix up the gameplay so that the final release will; hopefully; be bug free.At that point, Ill also type out the final script, as some of the lines in RC1 are just placeholders.If nothing else bug-related comes forth within the next week or so, Im going to update RC1 to RC2.Later!

KeyIsFull, Im investigating that odd traveling behavior youve noticed.SLJ, I dont think this game will end up being multiplayer, but I do have plans to make an online achievement system so players can have goals and see how others have done.Mayana, haha, I can only imagine what you meant when you said you figured out how frostbite goes away! ROFL! Broken bones dont actually heal, but you can sort of fix them with a splint. If your person has a splint, when you scroll down to their broken bone in the person menu, it will say you can press enter to put a splint on it. A splint allows someone to travel and do things once again. Bandages work the same way with the cuts and other types of wounds.Exhaustion will go away after someone rests, but it is a percentage chance. Because of this, it might only take 1 day of rest or it might take a few. It will depend on the person and several other factors.The fire does make a difference, but yeah, it doesnt completely solve all of the weather related problems. Weather is one of your great enemies in the game, and it is difficult to overcome. Until you can move your people out of the freezing mountains, much of the time you are just trying to slow down how much colder they are becoming. Things start to turn around when you have fully upgraded your shelter, have a few more blankets for everyone, and have a nice fire... especially if all of that happens in a location warmer than the crash site.Brad, I may end up adding some sounds. The testing team and I were joking around, a lot actually, about only having a single sound that is used throughout the whole game. Im not sure if I want to turn that joke into a reality though. hehe.Mayana, yes luck is a huge part of this game!

hmm, even on the baby steps mode it is hard. I think the biggest problem is the exhaustion thing, beacuse it takes like 3 sit out turns before they actually recover from it. I think maybe that should be cut down by a little bit.

Right now I am often waiting 3 or 4 turns for them to recover, which seems excessive because I only have 9 or 10 people anyway, and there is no way that I have seen to get more, though there might be random people hiding out somewhere else. Though since you have only given us 10 keys to access the people, I doubt it.Edit: I played a second game today and managed to get to the ice area, but by then, half of my people were dead so I gave up. And this was on the baby step level!

Yeah Ive pretty much determined that p2p connections would be a bad idea, even before you guys said so. Not only would you not be able to race with other people, but not everyone is able to forward ports on a router, having a dedecated server would allow people to store their character data if they wanted to, as well as dlc... its just a much better option.@sanslash32 Shifting gears in my game is not entirely realistic, no. This is, after all, an arcade game, and only the bear minimum is going to be realistic; the parts that would make it a not enjoyable game if they werent realistic. As for the physics aspect, Ill dive more into that once I really start designing the vehicle builder.Back to how gear shifting works, here it is. If the player presses shift, they gear up. If they press left control, it gears down. Keep in mind, though, that if you gear down while the car is going too fast, you must step on the break to slow down or your car could
  blow up. I know this is 100% not, realistic; but having it so that youd just hear a grinding noise and maybe some transmission damage... that would just make the game boring. Remember Im making an arcade game here, not a simulator.  And Id rather not say what language Im using,  weve already seen what kind of fits people throw when they learn you dont use a language of their choice. Id rather not start that war.

@Aprone ... heh, yes, my frazing was strange. I usually didnt play for that long so when they got frostbite, I never saw it go away, heh. About broken legs and ancles and arms ... I later once even managed to find a splint, too. So I guess I ask to menny stupid questions, hahaha.Well then, I guess luck isnt on my side. If baby steps are so hard, then Im not even thinking about going up a level. I think there should be a perk where you allways start with at least 1 knife and 1 lighter, but maybe thats just a stupid idea.

Well, I have certainly had a fairly busy last few days. Fortunately, it is mostly good news for a change.Last Thursday I went to see my doctor for a checkup. The good news is my urinary tract is now free of infection, but I am still dealing with a couple of other side issues. However, my health is improving over all and Im healthier than I have been in quite some time.Saturday was my day to have my son Sean. We didnt do a whole lot but we did spend some time playing some games such as Snoopy VS the Red Baron , Corvette Evolution, and some pinball games. I definitely found the Snoopy game cute hearing Lucy barking out orders, and making comments like no no no in her typical bossy voice when you screw up. As it turns out Marcy is Snoopys flight instructor and Pigpen is the flight mechanic to repair your biplane when it gets damaged. Woodstock is the tail gunner who fires the guns in Ariel dog fights. As I said the game was really cute.
 In other news Monday I went to my ear doctor and finally, after weeks of waiting, I got my new hearing aids. The new hearing aids are awesome. They work pretty well. Im going to have to take a while getting use to them, but I am very very very glad to have them as I can definitely notice an improvement in my hearing. That will really help as my hearing has been going down hill for a while now and Im glad I have something close to normal hearing with these new aids.

Terrain is definitely a goal. Not for the next release though. I dont know how existing maps will be adapted. Terrain would be defined for a square or maybe for each sub-square. Daniel is under the name John Briggs, and he is a British news anchor.Isnt that process for Microsoft sam called Diphone concatenation or something like that? I did a YouTube search for Denis Klat voice, but the only close match I found was the Lucy Hawkin history of Speech synthesis. Occasionally theres a guy who narrates a portion of the video, but Im not sure if thats Denis himself or somebody else.

Hay Nick.I; at the current moment; have no idea how hes doing.Out of respect for the kind of surgery he must be having, and the recovery time that can come with it, Ive decided not to bug him until october, to give him time to act on his own, so he wont feel rushed.His personal health is way more important than recording his lines for remnant; after all.As for RC2, its mostly going to be RC1, with all of the tinyupload updates included, as well as the cheatsheet.txt file.In this way, I can perfect all of the gameplay, and when Aaron gets ready to record his lines, all I have to do is redo the sceens, and package the final release.The final release will also include an off-line copy of my stage builder manual.An older version of it can be found in the articals room, and it was written while building remnant, so others can learn from my mistakes and; hopefully; allow more stages like Remnant to be built in the feuture
  by others than myself.When I hear from Aaron, Ill post here, so people can still have status updates.I also want to thank you Nick for all of your feedback.This final release was sort of rushed, as I lost the testing time Id planned for due to an unforseen development.Your feedback allowed me to patch all of the holes in the gameplay and make remnant what Id always invisioned it to be.Later!

@Green Gables FanYes, you can use my or even Bryan Smarts talking WinPE to install Windows 10 in VMWare Fusion/Workstation.My reason for creating a Windows 8.1 PE was the lack of SecureBoot and EFI support.However, if your only goal is using Windows 10 in a virtual machine, you dont need SecureBoot and may use even Bryan Smarts Windows 7 based talking installer.This is how you do it:Create a VM and attach the iso of the bootable WinPE.Note that the 64bit version of the talking installer can only perform installation of Windows 64bit, and that it requires minimum 1 GB of memory.So if you want Windows 10 32bit (X86) you must start the Windows setup from the X86 based WinPE. This is very important, and the main reason why many users report issues.Note that the Easy Install feature at least in some VMWare products (VMWare Workstation 11) does not autodetect Windows 10 build 10240 RTM and therefore can
 t generate the autounattend file used to automate the clean installation.But starting the talking WinPE environment from a VM and then starting the Windows setup solves that problem.If you already have a running Windows 7 or 8.1 system, you can use Dism to deploy the Windows 10 image manually to a virtual machine.Create an empty VHD or VMDK disk image of suitable size (enough to host a full installation of Windows 10) and create an active NTFS partition from within Diskpart.I have described the procedure in detail and there is a lot of information to Google.

Thats exactly why Im all for custom roms, rooting, and such, because of the exclusion of such features. The newer s series is very much accessible but that only applies if you actually! have those devices, and even those devices will slowly become outdated as well. Samsung, in a way, are like Apple in how they manage their older devices. Newer devices are all well and good, but older ones not so much.

Hello,I am also having the same issue that key is full is having. I am using windows 7. I do not have a save game file, however, as I just closed the game. I got some folks to the first ridge but once I tried to travel away again, they just did nothing, it just said they were cold, without saying they were resting or anything.

@roelvdwalIt depends on the version of Windows PE.Microsoft TechNet provides extensive documentation about Windows PE.But even if you are able to inject drivers into a WinPE image built with WAIK (for Windows 8-10 itis now called Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit) you wont get any screen reader support out of the box.But you can maybe solve the problem by injecting drivers into an existing talking WinPE.But which driver support do you need?WinPE or rather its project Win81PESE can boot on of lot of different hardware.

Yes, if youre being realistic with acceleration and deceleration, if you had an uphill slope, you should decelerate much faster when you release the up arrow. and if you came to a complete stop on an uphill slope without holding the break you would roll backwards. But I have no idea if you want to go that way and put slopes in there, it was just a fun suggestion I thought Id throw out.

Did you play a lot? When was the last time you played before. Also if you had just turned your firewall on it sort of makes sence. It all depends. I wish it wouldnt do that, but I think its just the insain packet flow making the firewall suspissious if it has some sort of antiprotection on it.

Hi. Just to clarify for those who dont speak English as a home language: Danny decided that due to a lot of annoying bugs in the game, he would take it offline for an undisclosed time, in order to work on those bugs. He will have a beta-testing team to help him to report bugs, as well as to improve the game in general. So to summarise, the game is going to be down for a while, probably a few weeks. They asked us to be patient and wait for them to work on things. I hope that makes it clear for everyone on why the server is down and will stay down indefinitely. If not for my time constraints, I wouldve loved to help testing, but I dont think Id be able to be there when Im needed. So good luck to yourself, Danny, as well as the team. Im sure were all excited to see what you come up with when youre ready.

Well, implemented the scanning. It honestly sounds as messy as before, but at least it seems to be good enough to prevent it from overloading all other sounds (now I can hear footsteps just fine). To download the voice packages, go to the android native tts settings, hit launch engine settings for samsung tts and find the option to download voice packages for offline use. Alternatively, you can use espeak, which does in fact work on android 4.4, download the apk from the eyesfree google group or from the play store. It should show up in the tts settings menu under the pre-installed speech synthesizers.

Hello all,Im wanting to start a new project concerning a real life event. However, before that I need to get interest from people. Id like to know if theres an accessible survey creator that can do the following:The most important thing is, if someone answers yes or no, move them to different questions. Allow people to either answer with radio buttons for single choices, or checkboxes for questions that have stuf like check all that apply, or allow them to choose their preferences, lets say in the checkbox there was cars, bikes, trains and planes, but someone likes both cars and bikes, so Id like them to be able to select both.It wont need the names or contact info of people for now.Basically, heres how Id like the survey to work:Give an initial description of what the survey is about.Ask if theyd be interested in something.If the answer is yes, then show a checkbox question

I agree. when were over inderien or rather, on it, when we have to teleport to a ship weve bought because it cant be docked, it takes a friggen coon age to find the blasted ship, unless you do an up arrow and navigate from the bottom of the list. same goes for docking on inderien. it really is getting cluttered there.

Hi Catfish, the one before mountaineer is crafty, it gives you better chances of upgrading a weapon in workshops which goes well with the latest update to crafting!As for modding, there are a few things you can modify at the moment, you can add you own food or food company in the items folder and you as for modding your starter items you can go into the settings folder and find a text file called starter inventory, in there you will see the three things you always start with, Metal Pole of Noobs, Can of Noob Juice and Insta-Heal Atomica Chocolate Bar.You can add anything you want, but an example would be to replace the Metal Pole of Noobs stats. for example this is what it looks like in the fileMetal Pole of Noobs.2.10.6.15.the 2 identifies the item as a weaponthe 10 is the valuethe 6 is the damageand the 15 is the durabilitywith this you could go and write you own custom weapons, I tested it by changing the weapon into Metal Po
 le of Murder.2.100.250.150. the new modified weapon has 100 value, 250 damage and 150 durability!you can also grab stuff from your inventory.txt file while you are still in a game and copy it into the start inventory, entirely up to you.Hope this helps

KeyIsFull, Ill take that into consideration. The game is still being tweaked here and there, so Ill run more games and see if I should adjust those percentages.I worry about even bringing this question up, because some people could try to get clues from it, but could you have angered one of the games gods with anything you had done (or not done)? I say gods plural, even though there is at most 1. The religion setting of this game is too complicated to really summarize here, but the whole bottom half of the readme.txt file gives examples to help explain how it works.Pretty much any random percentage based thing in the game could be affected by your religion setting and what choices you have been making in the game. That makes it very hard for me to give people advice without knowing everything theyve done and giving away game secrets.Revan, I do like making action games, but they dont normally happen as thes
 e quick little games. Those usually take more time with sound work and other things.Mayana Ill keep such a perk i mind.Arbuz, I did make one like League of Legends once, but I never found a good way to control the main character when facing off against multiple targets. I may go back to the idea at some point... who knows.Aaron and Key, I think I found the problem with saving the game. A bug can cause the saved game to show up in the current working directory for windows. So if you had recently had some other folder open before running Paw Prints, the save file may have saved into there. Ill fix that with the next update. And Thanks Aaron.
