Yes I did, and though I did take some time it didn't feel that long. Still I would grind for one or two mega shooters each day at max, and then stop playing until the next day. I didn't use the megaton hammer very much, but I may be a very good option indeed.

I wouldn't have thought that different versions of Windows would result in different memory layouts, but it's possible that SF4 is detecting the different OS versions and loading slightly different versions of things which then throws off the pointer trails identifying the game aspects. Unfortunately I don't have access to a machine running Windows 7 at the moment, so there isn't a lot to be done right now. I may be able to try to dig up an old license key and install Windows 7 to test it out, but I won't have a chance to do this for at least another 10 days.

@SirBadger - That's exactly what's happening! Each time the game loads the current state of your PC's memory is slightly different, and there are also other aspects that affect the memory layout - so essentially every time you load the game the memory addresses for health or ammo or whatever are different. There isn't anything that you can do to change this - it's just how it all works. This is why SoniFight uses pointer chains as a 'series of hops' to locate the values of interest in a manner which allows it to consistently work across different runs/reboots/PCs.So unless your cheat engine .CHT files contain pointers to the values, instead of just where the values happen to be on the specific run of the game when you found them then they're unlikely to be of much use, unfortunately.@Atlan - I replied to you in the user trial thread, and yeah - it could be that Windows 7 is loading things slightly different and breaking the pointer chains. If the SF4 config doesn't work for you in Windows 7 then it's quite likely it doesn't work for anyone in Windows 7. I can try to look into it. It would be great if someone other than me was able to create a modified Windows 7 version of the SF4 config, considering that the values to be found will all exist in the existing config (i.e. it's just the watch pointer chains that would need to be updated), but if not I'll see what I can do - although I won't be able to get to it right away.

Yeah grinding the omega took me maybe 5 days just casually. It became something pretty mindless, I could get 1 or too a day and do it all while having a casual conversation. imo it's really not worth it unless you're wanting to 100 percent the game. I used the electric stick for like the first 3 playthroughs until I lost my save. I do wish more of the weapons actually had more of a use, most of them seem to be just gimmics to play around with.

As someone who has used the method described in post 8 in the past, I can say it works very well. These days I don't really bother podcasting on windows though, my phone does exactly what I need it to. Failing that, iTunes on the mac. It might be a tiny bit more effort to set up foo podcatcher, but if I can discourage anyone from resorting to Q cast then I absolutely will.

To make a long story short: The blind testers that already hand in their feedback by now, had minor to no problems to play from start to finish (including the menu), which is great and eliminated our biggest concerns! We will wait and see how the others do but seems like in general we’re on the right track with our „one version for all“ concept. We will extending the beta phase for a short amount of time, to be able to get more feedback from people with different experience in games and also to validate the improvements of the upcoming update. This means we’re open for a few more applications. Please include some short information on you, your experience with games, if you have been blind since birth and wether you use Android or iOS.

Just an update on my next project:Experiments with using sound to provide position and movement information has led to using a solid tone for objects in front of the player and a trill or warbling tone for those behind. The doppler effect works okay to indicate movement towards, or away from the player. The player can identify the object type, broadly speaking, by its general tone and duration, as well as determine its position.For the universe, I'm moving towards a grid of 100 by 100 star systems, accessible via hyperspace, with 600 populated systems. But all stars can be visited. Flying through hyperspace is an alternative to working with a 2D map.The universe is connected to the flight sim, which is connected to ship and object types and includes environmental zones. Ships vary in type and equipment. And trade is linked to system politics. There's a lot to do.The game will hopefully be a 2D version of Elite, flown using the keyboard, mouse or joystick. Rate of turn and forward speed can vary, like in a plane, so it should have a dogfighting feel.And I'm designing it to make the inclusion of a few missions easier.Will be back in touch when done, but all the elements of the game are feasible.

Due to Cakewalk Sonar's demise, jumping ships

For those who have or have not been following me, I have been working with a setup that allows the newer versions of Cakewalk Sonar to be accessible for blind users via hardware controllers, and a plugin for NVDA that makes a lot of  plugins accessible, that otherwise are not.  Our biggest project has been getting Addictive Drums 2 to work with  screen readers, since wel, there are no shortcuts or anything like that for us blind users and we were successful to get it to work inside of Sonar.  Initially, we had a few requests to get the setup to work with Reaper, so the plugins would be accessible there as well.  However, since we focused on Sonar so much, it wasn't a high priority.Now, though, due to the demise of Cakewalk's Sonar software no longer going to be in production, we are jumpig ships.   Amusingly enough, the DAW of choice is Reaper.  From a programming standpoint, there are far less bugs in Reaper, and with Osara being to our disposal, this will make the job much more seamless.    How is it all going to work though? Hell, I'm not sure yet, but I will  definitely be excited to see how it turns out.  I will keep you guys posted, and yes, SIBIAC will be migrated to work with Reaper.

I actually found myself wishing there were fewer weapons in BK. I was only ever interested in the ones that get the job done as efficiently as possible, quiet, fast, not too energy sapping with no need to reload. The main three weapons that carried me through most of the game were the needle launcher, super yoyo, and spirit sword. I found all the tons of stuff just made it a bit frustrating to search through the shops for the few things you really needed. There is the usual better and better weapon arc in BK, but it's kind of camouflaged by all the tons of superfluous stuff. I think it adds an extra dimension for those who are into collecting things, but that's about it.

This is yet another version of the old concentration game. Not even close to Bejeweled.Some observations:1. If you are going to create code specifically for a particular screen reader, it helps to actually test it with that screen reader.2. The installer creates chortcuts to the game's documentation, but never installs the documentation files. All it installs is a read me file with no shortcut to it.

I understand both sides of this most recent debate. At this point, I think our best bet is to do one of two things, or even both:1. Count down in our heads, as I am doing.2. Simply ignore the posts about it.I think that this would be very moralizing to see as a developer, though, since it says, "We are excited about your game! The experience would not have been unpleasant and certainly it was not our intention to force any sort of joining  a human who does not wish it" Then the young man speaks, sunlight gleaming in his blonde hair. "Since we do not have the technology to gather or test members of other races, we had to commission a salvage and reality brokerage firm, and it was they who began the quarentine measures" the young girl speaks again. "We were able to hack into their reality server and open a pathway to another part of their system where they run a dungeon scenario, and then recover you by posing as a player, however this will not work for long" "what do you mean?" You look around nervously, expecting to see more floating spheres or waves of fire rushing at you, wondering exactly how real the apparently earthlike landscape of the parkland and small pleasant house surrounding you actually is.The father speaks, his voice suddenly grave. "Since you do not fulfil the request for the the object we commissioned from the salvage company, your reality rights have reverted to them and they have made you part of their dungeon scenario perminantly. As a player we can keep you in our residence for a short time, a few hours at most, but when that time finishes your reality will revert to the standard dungeon makeup and you will become part of that makeup, effectively another mobile entity in the dungeon for players to gain experience from" You remember back to the online games you've played, thinking of all the times you dispatched hoards of monsters with magic spells or laser weapons and shudder. "so what your saying is, I'm not what you wanted so now this salvage and retrieval company want to make me some of piece in a game?"The family all nod gravely. "Your only possible way of escape is to attain the status of an independent agent that can move through the system and thus cross out of the dungeon scenario into the retrieval program" You frown, kicking up the gravel with your foot. "what do you mean an independent agent?" The family all smile at you. "One specialised mobile responsable for the direct destruction of players of the game" The mother says. In an oddly childish gesture the seven year old girl claps her hands and smiles up at you. "You need to become, what I believe in your world is called a boss!"

It's very odd, since the update for me just came in, so I assumed it was new and the "voiceover fixes" mentioned were those reflecting fixing the changes since Ios 10. Try running it in compatibility mode or as an administrator. Though honestly, as long as you didn't put it in some location needing elevated priveleges, it should work. All the single file installers that you download are just glorified self extracting executables.

*notice*: The following post refers *only* to audio games. No muds, no browser games, no IF games, board, handhelds or anything else you'd like to throw in there. Exclusively audio games. I don't see why the audiogames market is saturated with space games. The only recent space game we have is space explorer, which is, I must admit, not exactly the best. That is the only space audio game that still receives regular updates, there are other games like starmule, traders of known space or interceptor, in fact there are many old space games, but as I said, their old and not many people really play them anymore. So yes, I do think one more new space game won't tip the skales.

1, you don't download the game, you use a mud client to play. You can download soundpacks from inside the game, however. 2, I use Vipmud as there are more soundpack options for it. 3, nope. No tutorial, ask on newbie and the players will answer.

Well, I thought I would respond to the posts on here.First, I am no near rage quitting just yet, I have simply run out of time to test anything, its 2 weeks to christmas, and there are a lot of other things I really need to finnish, I will probably get back to the game at some point, that camera puzzle is quite interesting.I know how the system should work, but I am not exactly sure where to go after I clear square 42 which unlocks the exit square.All the scenes happen on 11-31, so I need 41 unlocked and d243 unlocked, I know I am really close to unlocking it but I have a lot of extra stuff both on and offline I need to actually sort out before I even think of playing any real game, plus with the new rpg popping up after christmas.From what I saw of c7 its a good game, I ofcause completed the sub quests, I do wander though if you unlock the reactor in the science building, I'd still like the option to well complete the sub quest even if I don't need to.Also after I get the reactor code, I'd like an option to have to put that code in.

face id iphone x

yo. all. so today i've got an i phone x to test although most things seems to work like before when it comes to accessibility there's one major thing and it's face ID.i've managed to sett it up and disabled atention but still when i lock the phone. then plase it in front of me while trying to unlock it it doesn't work. it vibrates and then i have to enter the code. i basicly have it near my nose so i can get a good sence of where the camera is then move it back abit. i've tried other things as wel. it opens fine for my dad but when i try my self it doesn't work when i hold it.any advice on how to maybe plase the phone in front of your face or other advice?personally i'm not happy aobut apple since face id accessibility really haven't been thought through it seems to me.

I for one have been imagining the kind of character I'll create. Definitely one of the magical classes that's for sure. But one thing I've always liked about this type of game is the potential replay value simply from playing the game with different classes each time. It reminds me of the time I received my copy of the original Final Fantasy on the old Nintendo. That game, simple as it was in the grand scheme of things, had enormous replay potential simply because you had a wide variety of party combinations with which to play the game. With AHC I sort of get the feeling you might be able to complete at least some quests in different ways and therefore get different outcomes depending.

I really have to try this thing. Vectors are really handy when it comes to game creation. The last bullet system i wrote came as an object. Actually a class and it's veriables, and a list which contains the class itself (I mean the list <>) and a checkloop or what ever you call it in the main class I wrote it like the bullet system in bgt where if that hits a wall or something, It removes from the list. Although i think this way is a real mess. Do any of you have any ideas about calling functions and such from the main form, one of the class functions i mean(Not the main class). I don't know how to explane it better but if you know how to do that, let me know please..., I tryed sevral ways like form1.sound but that didn't work.

@TheoUnless others got ideas, you are "stuck." Jaws 18 is the "minimum" for Edge to work "decently," and by default the setting to make it work at all isn't "on" within the "Quick Settings." (Insert-V.)Best screen readers for Edge  besides Jaws For Windows, include "Narrator" and "NVDA."

The collection part is what I feel lacking in other audio games and what my hardcore Japanese testers and I love soo much, so please just forgive me about that :dSeriously speaking, another intention that I'm making useful and useless weapons is to keep the playerbase network active. Games are not necessarily enjoiable only with the game itself; active communications like "I don't want to try all the unknown weapons and waste my time! I'm disappointed with the echo in canada. It launched here on the fifth, but still does not support audible, despite amazon owning audible, and both a Canadian amazon and audible site existing. That was a large part of why I got the thing, to avoid dealing with my phone for those kind of things, but no luck.

Like you say though the cost of bluetooth shouldn't be all that much, the Raspberry Pi Zero retails for 5$, while the RasPi Zero W with built in bluetooth and wifi capabilities retails for 10$. Sure its double the price, but the overall cost, especially when you consider it to other RasPi models both with and without wifi are around 35$ is still relatively cheap. Your thoughts on manual refresh for slow refresh rates also makes sense, it would really suck to have a display suddenly decide to refresh for a few seconds, having control for when it refreshes or not seems like a good quality of life option.Alright here's another question, some open source electronics like the [OpenBCI] EEG headset retail for around 800$, but you can buy them as a kit of parts that you assemble yourself for 600$, or just the electronics where you have to 3D print the other components and assemble it all yourself for 350$. What if you could buy a braille display as a kit that you assemble yourself, or with some assistance, for such a discount or half price? Is that an option any of you would consider? Lets assume for the moment that there's no soldering or cutting involved, something more like ikea furniture.As a bonus question, what about being able to customize your braille display? Such as having a custom embossed image on the case, custom shaped case, or braille text? Or how about custom braille pins? Like smooth rounded pins, square pins, rough textured pins, pointy pins, or combinations thereof?

Hot damn!Has it really been two months?I mean I guess I was getting pretty impatient, but [[wow]], that is a stupendous amount of work you've done, truly!And awesome to hear about Niklas getting his own character too.Can't wait to battle the vampire units, and see the descriptions of their city.Plus, these vampire VS hunter and nomad VS demon battles will be really cool to watch I think.Adviser Fleck and the demon hoard diplomacy options are a nice touch too.I'm also going to enjoy seeing all these new amusing mad man and angry peasant quotes (LOL) as well as the new books.Thanks for taking the time to fix so many of the Ascii bugs, it's really appreciated.And sorry to hear about your PC problems and especially personal stuff...

I totally forgot about the Pie... LOLThough I was under the impression that wireless mice and keyboards were quite reliable now a days...If it would truly bring the cost down than I guess I'd be fine with assembling it, but I don't think most people would spring for that. The option would be nice though.Your still talking about tiny screws, reading through instructions, and perfectly centering small components, not losing any of them in the mean time, even without any soldering.Unless you've done that kind of thing before, than you will be either pretty intimidated, or need a willing sighted person handy to help you (not exactly a confidence booster) plus they might just fuck it up not knowing enough about braille displays anyway.As for case customization, I've never understood the appeal for most of that stuff, but I know several blind people who do, and I could see individual names (for differentiation) and or the name slash logo of the institution in braille being useful for larger orders.Different case materials and styles may be useful too, for different price points and needs.E.G. hard case with full protection, rugged  carabiner loop and optional waterproofing, larger soft case with padded shoulder strap and optional side pockets, case with adjustable stand, wrist rest, and small pockets, slim leather case with brass clasp, ETC.Beyond the basic gray, dark blue, and black, I don't think much color choice would be necessary (for obvious reasons ) but you could see about the demand for it later on.The pins thing well, honestly I couldn't say, it never even occurred to me to be honest. O.oTheir is always a trade off between overwhelming the customer with choices and allowing businesses (and some individuals) to customize units to their liking.If their are any true potential benefits to non standard pin shapes, than I would allow people to customize the main product, rather than choosing from multiple models, and I would have an easily accessible breakdown of the advantages of each choice available as well.Otherwise it frankly just seems like a frivolity, though an admittedly pretty cool one. LOL

Really? I thought all you had to do was get the camera pointed at your face and within about a foot and a half (0.5M) of it.That's why that hole pick up the phone and it unlocks thing works, I never heard of any outline.I know iris scanning is inaccessible for many blind people by nature, but all this does is use the shape of your face via beaming a bunch of infrared dots onto it and analyzing what gets bounced back.Maybe if you ware glasses or a hat, or have bangs, than it could mess it up, but I'm not sure.It could also be the light in the room, which is annoyingEither way the tech is young, and plenty of people are having odd problems who aren't blind as well.

I was actually going to delete that last post of mine but thanks for having enough LSD to salvage the situation not really how my dream invisioned these people though --- but then again I broke it. I'm sorry about that. I love the fact you were able to completely fuck me over and push it back to your cenario. It reminds me of times where I was actually a decent storyteller and I was at camps as a kid and we could sit around a campfire and tell a story.Maybe after all I should be happy I broke it because I bet it was a bit of an exercise for you to salvage my horrible mishap Ok I'm not very good at putting myself in the shoes of someone stuck inside a dungeon.
