Thumbs up there sky guardian, I was wondering if someone was able to beat me to the punch with this one since I was rather too tired last night to come and post after midnight. I admit, christmas was a bit subdued with the prospect of my lady's radio therapy looming in january, though  was still rather nice. Indeed ironically my birthday present, the complete game of thrones on dvd turned up just in time for Christmas .New year was good though. My lady and I went out for lunch at TGI Fridays with my brother and his fiance, then we all trooped off to see the rise of skywalker, which was pretty terrible, albeit not as terrible as the last Jedi. then we spent the evening with a friend of my mum's. In the past she's had a huge house party with lots of people which to be honest I've always found a bit wearing, last night though there were only about 10 people there, all of them adults, so we basically sat around, drank wine, ate some extremely nice cakes that my mum's friend made and debated everything from the merits (or lack of), of starwars to the fun things airlines can do to assistive technology. it was actually more fun than I thought. we then came back, watched the firework display in London and drank a glass of champagne to see in the new year, and indeed the new decade.  My lady and I are just hoping things will go slightly better, since 18 and 19 were both pretty crappy and we both need a break at the moment. Hope everyone else is having a good 2020 so far as well.

They are alright, and the first time I have seen a synth of an african language, which is a bit sad. The english male one needs some work. I like the sound of the ndebele one the most.

Personally I didn't mind the disturbing lady in manamon, I mean, they're an evil organisation who want to blow up the world for some reason, they're not exactly going to be paragons of virtue. what did sort of bother me a bit more in Manamon from a moral perspective was the hole business with your father getting tortured, and you actually having options to "not forgive your father," not to mention yavin just basically saying, "Yes, I knew your father was just sitting around in Eternal agony, , sorry about that."On a less grim note, one thing I find really messed up in both Manamon and paladin of the sky, is the way everybody! and I mean everybody, just basically stand there for the entire game, unless they have to move to let you go somewhere else, or unless they're those annoying guards trying to catch you. I mean, just to take a random example, there is the guy in Wondrous valley who constantly complains about being thirsty, yet just stands there! My new theory, is that actually the war between the dragons and humans at the start of paladin of the sky resulted in the complete destruction of humanity, with the last few humans being reduced to the level of brains in jars, stuck on a spaceship going out into space. ross is actually the ship's robotically operated security system and thus he, and his fellow robots are actually the only  able to move in that game. In Manamon, the timeline has progressed, and the original brains are now planted all over the alien planety they colonised, and have used their telepathic powers to enslave the local fauna to do their will. this is the true purpose of a Manamon Journey, since only by having their brain jar carried by either  Leafox, Aquaffe or similar creature, can the once humans get any sort of mobility around their planet, however given the low breeding rates among those starters, once the human brain matures beyond the adolescent stage, it has to relinquish it's animal assistance and  planted in a house somewhere. this is also why nobody in any of  worlds needs to eat, but why the droubt in manamon 2 is such a serious matter, since without water, the preservation fluid for the brains in jars is likely to dry up. See! it all makes perfect sense .

Well we went to see the rise of skywalker yesterday. I'll admit I did like it better than last Jedi, but that's not saying much, since it didn't feature any silly character assassination, or utterly illogical stuff like Space Leya. I'll even go as far as saying there are the seeds of a good film here, Rey actually had some conflict and some reason for her backstory, and the plot concerning Kylo Ren almost worked. The problem though, is that like force awakens the hole thing felt bland. Okay, I'll start on spoilers now, so if you've not seen the film, read no more because here come the spoiling spoilers of spoileriness. So, Palpatine's back,  why? and the sith have a homeworld why? and their own language. And apaprently Palpatine first wants Rey dead, then he wants to possess her, then he can randomly suck the power out of her for no reason. Oh and that imperial army shop really! needs to be careful who they sell their space armadas too. Oh, and now we've gone from one deathstar, to every single star destroyer being a mini deathstar on it's own?Actually, a lot of the plot felt like this. let's have C3PO give up his memory, accept it's restored, let's have Chubaka captured, accept he's rescued, let's have a huge glorious hope moment where Lando's random allies turn up to support the rebellion, accept that Palpatine can apparently just blow away a hole fleet on his own anyway.I did like the fact Rey was trained in the force by Leya (as she should be rather than succeeding without training), actually the way they intigrated Carry fisher was impressive, however there really needed to be a little better setup for pretty much everything here. We were also sorry to see so little of Rose, who was one of the few good things about the last Jedi, and that Po and Fin's character arcs didn't really get resolved, indeed again the colony of rebel storm troopers living in the ruins of the deathstar was a lovely idea, which just didn't get used at all. Admittedly, I suspect much of this was to do with the messy way the trilogy was handled. Abrams had a plan for the Force Awakens. The force awakens wans't exactly great, my over all feeling was a resounding Meh, but it didn't cause the terrific mess the way the last Jedi did. Rian Jonson was slated to produce not only a third film, but yet another prequal trilogy. Then however, when Last Jedi did so badly, Jonson got sacked, and Abrams had to run back in and pick up the pieces. I suspect in the original outline,  Snoke was supposed to be palpatine's son and Rey's father, Kylo's redemption was to have happened far sooner, and likely Luke was  to get himself killed obiwan style by either Snoke or a revived Palpatine, and not be a total arse hole who randomly decided to murder a child for no readily apparent reason. So, abrams had to get back on track with this film, indeed it's remarkable just how little of the last Jedi actually had any impact at all on the plot of rise of skywalker. so, instead of getting what was probably planned to be two fairly bland starwars films, we had to get two fairly bland starwars films shoved into one, which resulted in the blandity and illogical plots getting sort of compacted into a singularity .

I still cannot get windows defender off my back about Bloodbath, and thus still can't play.  I tried adding it as an exclusion, but it still seems adamant that it's a virus when clearly it's not, no one has reported it being a virus or had trouble with their system

The sad thing is, these voices are about two years old already. I know someone who was on the beta Team for the Afrikaans and maybe the English ones. She always told me how the female Afrikaans voice gave her a headache. I think the Xhosa Voice sounded the best. Then again, all of them need some work. The Afrikaans pronunciation is almost flawless. I have never had any pronunciation errors in my entire time with these voices. They are half baked however. I’m tempted to write a review, but what difference would that actually make? We all know that speech synthesisers never get updated. Ever.

As an anime/manga fan, I've seen many characters who are very smart, passed all the tests and requirements in their universes, in short they were loved by society and was highly respected but turns out they're rotton apples all along. When I created my first character in cr, I bombed Maraquda by accident. That would be an excellent time to start my criminal days right? No. Everyday SDL were hunting me, people are antagonizing me in chats and all that shit so I couldn't play in peace unless I turn off my communicator, but even then the godly power of the military can sniff you out wherever you are, and can arrest you and put you in jail without much effort. So what's the point of playing an evil character if you don't have any cards to play? In other games even that those who aren't rp games, evil characters have advantage and some immunities, in cr you need to be good and law abiding all the time. How boring. Yes, evil characters can be anything. Educators, priests, doctors but why not pilots?

Still on the whole 'this game needs a smaller map' train of thought., WHen the map was smaller due to bugs it was way faster paced and more fun. There's a reason many COD4 servers have Shipment, the smallest map in that game, on a 24/7 rotationbecause it's fast and frenetic pace.So...yeah, smaller maps could well work for fast paced gameplay, but I still want the lag spikes resolved. Also for some reason, and it may just be my headphones, but...if somebody's behind me, it still has the auto track sound like they're in front of me.

I've been thinking about an idea to get a better hang of how the galaxy works. Would like to hear more opinions on whether this could be feasible.I'm thinking of an application which reads a list of coordinates and planet names, and puts that in 2d space. It would then lay it out on a 2d grid and discretize each cell. I could divide the grid so that each grid cell is 2 parsecs wide (2 times 5 units according to the official strategy guide).Lets assume that (0, 0) is the bottom left, and that the galaxy can be 200 x 200 wide or 40 parsecs on each side. Then you could use the arrow keys to move about the grid. When your cursor is on a particular 2 x 2 parsec sector, your position in space would be set to the centre of that sector. When sounds for each planet in that sector are played, it would be relative to the centre of that sector, which should in theory give you a way of understanding how things are laid out. So you would only be hearing things inside that region, and would have to arrow around to explore nearby.

There is a current bug with Mail, where VoiceOver reads "insertion point at …" after the text of messages if you navigate through the message text with VO+Arrow keys. That has been fixed in Safari with the latest update, so I'm betting they'll fix the Mail one with next update.Also, yeah, people will give you plenty of "bugs and bugs and bugs and Oh my gosh vo sucks lol" and all that, but ask them what bugs they have problems with and, well, "uh, yeah bugs Oh my gosh don't get a MAC cause MAC Apple bad." So good on you for asking for specifics.

So I am looking into this, and Ethan was correct. This does look rather interesting and somewhat easy to use. My questions are below. Keep in mind that I have read barely past the "hello world" example.1. Can I see that someone has just connected?2. Can I see that someone has lost the connection to the server or went offline?3. Does the engine have features to identify clients? I.e, if clients A and B are logged on, how can I tell that client A sends a message instead of client B?If some of my questions are answered by a later section or chapter (perhaps a more in depth example or something) just tell me to keep reading, lol.

I know it has Afrikaans, but sitswana? Those demos were not recorded by a native speaker. I remember the developer commenting in a blog post that he wasn’t able to pronounce some of the words properly. That definitely shows, too. Do you have a recording of Espeak speaking sitswana?

There is only one problem. If it goes off, it gets confiscated. I'm generally in favor or leaving the map how it is, but I can make it smaller if people really want that. From my experience it doesn't really take too long to find someone to kill with the current size, and plus this way you have plenty of space to collect items undistracted for a while if you need to do that.

RIght, but the counter argument to that is less players means you're more  spread out. If you half scale the map down, and adjust the item spawns to match, you'll keep the ability to collect items undisturbed. Smaller maps make for fast paced gameplay really. Right now it sucks when you spawn 500 tiles away from somebody and they're already moving.On that note. Instead of changing the map, maybe change up the spawns.Also. The. Lag. I know it's a dead horse at this point, but I was on aerlier with 16 people on, and I was getting 6ms lag and wasn't the only one noticing the lag.Lastly, Can you do something about the auto tracking sound when somebody's behind you? It still sounds like whoever you're tracking is in front of you. If you addressed this already I may have missed it, just went by last post

Just go to nvda, voice settings, go to the setswana varient on e speak. From there, either find some text in tswana or listen to the numbers. I can't comment on how good or bad it is. It seems quite different from languages like xhosa and the like, though that h l sound is present.

As someone who once had an sdl character, I can tell you that these days it'll probably be quite impossible to play a rogue. Ryacus managed ok because the systems that are in place today weren't a thing back then. if the SDL want to stop you from doing just about anything, they can. They can literally stop your ships from launching/landing from anywhere, jumping, etc. I don't actually know if the same restriction applies to factories, but since player police forces are known to have way too much power in these games, I guess it does. So you can't even build some fortress out in uncharted to use as a crime base, because if the sdl place these restrictions on you, you can't even land on your own shit. Ryacus is pretty much the only example of rogue rp that wasn't just "troll punches player, sdl immobilize troll, MI capture troll." Regarding cr's rp, don't even start about that. I wrote a post about this a long time ago which was, I do admit, a bit ranty and impolitely said. However, I changed a lot of things after the fact to make it a lot more reasonable, and posted it as a gripe. The gripe got absolutely no response from the hosts, despite there being 4 strong agreements and 2 agreements facing just one disagreement. When I finally brought it up at an htpc, it was immediately shot down with a statement by nate, in which I couldn't even properly figure out what he meant and which didn't even try to address the points I tried to make. He ended it by basically saying that "the writer of the gripe is probably just jealous, because they submitted it anonimously." I couldn't even defend myself to this accusation, because htpcs are set up in such a way that hosts have to approve every statement the players make. So my defending statement was simply rejected, and on we rumbled with other stuff. I get it, the hosts wrote the lore and they're proud of the universe they created. All I wanted to do was to give suggestions on where it could be improved, all for the sake of roleplay. There were some things in that gripe that could easily be fixed simply by appending an extra line to a help file there, creating a new one with some elaboration there. Nothing game-breaking, nothing that requires you to have a rocket science degree or anything. Why, for example, someone would need to be profficient at flying ships to join the gmc, jag, or even the MI is beyond me. I can sort of understand that the MI would have to know ship layouts for boarding the enemy but that's about it. Even that doesn't hold up too well if you scrutinize it sufficiently, because today's countries have different military branches that deal with such things for a reason.

What would be your feature list for a map creation tool?Maps are literally polygons with a collision detection algorithm for the user. JSON is a common output format for maps, normally Geojson. You can currently write JSON by hand, but it is rather tedious. It helps if you have a viewer that can parse your data so you can see what you have written.@CAE_Jones, what editors do you recommend that work with a screen reader?

My experience so far has been with mostly command-line stuff, which is different.I'll try and find some time to investigate your "NerveCentre," bug this week. hello all.I've just tried retroarch and it's AI feature, it's pretty amazing.however, I got a problem with one of the cores, spesifically the PSP ones.in a game where I need to press the start button, usually when I press the enter key it opens a main menu of the game, however it does nothing if I press the enter key.is it possible for me to configure the keys for the PSP core if I'm using a keyboard? I go to the input settings in retroarch but there is no way to configure the buttons for PPSSPP.

Or you could save each class in a sepparate file for the sake of a simpler retrieval, but still present to the user a single file that is, further more, in a not so accessible location as well as harder to cheat.The first step is to serialize the classes using the System.Runtime.Serialization namespace or whatever else is out there, but as you've already done this, you are fine, I think.Next, encrypt each file with a strong key(I can't give enough advice here for I don't know much my self,) put all of them in a zip archive, then encrypt the archive itself, not only with the zip password thing for it has proven insufficient time and again, rather encrypt the entire file with something like FileEncrypt in bgt.Then, you can save the resulting package in a location hidden by default and free from uac warnings and access denied errors. Such a location could be:%appdata%/roaming/companyname/gamename/save/save-timestamp.datAnd you're finally done with this stupid thing.I want to use this mechanism in my own future games, so I would need your opinions, guys, do you think this would work?

@6:1-3. Yes, you can, but you'll need to write those functions yourself in your interface, I think. I haven't looked at the API docs too well so I'm not sure but maybe one of the parameters passed into your functions (current) contains that information for you.

I live near Berlin.I gained my first experiences with Tarzan Junjor. That was in 2010. As far as I saw it, The Last Jedi did not do badly. Far from it, in fact. It has the highest approval ratings and generally the most positive reviews on a whole lot of platforms. It was absolutely the most divisive of the trilogy, but saying it was the worst of them, and that Rise of Skywalker had to come in and clean up the mess, totally misses the point and misrepresents the situation. Again, not saying it's perfect - it's not, there are issues with it - but calling it the worst in the trilogy is just bonkers, really. Say what you want about it, but The Last Jedi did a lot of different things, took Star Wars in directions it hadn't gone but could've (and maybe should've) gone a long time ago. When some people got really loud about that, Abrams backed down, and you ended up with the mess that is The Rise of Skywalker, which while it's not terrible (I've seen it now, BTW) is not very interesting either. The whole inclusion of random evil Sith and Palpatine doing what Palpatine does just felt tired and sad.
