I'm not sure that actually can be done. I use nvda on a daily basis and don't usually have problems with it. What I usually do is use auto walking because if the arrow key is being held down, you don't get intterupted like that. Holding in g and the arrows actually doesn't require speach, it just plays a tile sound so you can hear what's in front of you and hebind you, etc.

Well, though I am buzy sometimes, i'd sure love to help with something like this. I as many of you know made survive the wild, I could actually quite easily help, if at all, something like this. The idea sounds absolutly fantastic! I'd love to help! Keep in mind I am developing my game so I might not be there 100 percent of the time you need me, but I can defenatly do what I can to help the project! Also I do a lot of sound design stuff, i'm sure I could help you with your game in that aspect too. What i'd recommend, is a base engine, whare you can just enter the game and have a world, but then you, with out any more coding, can just add things over time. Kind of like a mud, but utterly different. If you think of survive the wild, I can add of lot of things serverside. I'm only limited by sounds, which I have to put in there then release an update. Yeesh. But other than that you could just add new maps, objects, characters, buildings etc etc with either co
 mmands or some sort of a UI. But i'd be glad to help atempt this awesome sounding game come to life!

Well said, SLJ. Guys, hes write in at least a sence. Anything you post publicly is well... public. The voice chat is public. Now I do see whare your coming in terms of voice chat only working on the squares around you but guys, in UP, All someone has to do it stand next to you when your not expecting it and they can hear a full conversation. I understand both sides of the matter here I think. I see how most of you see this as a privacy issue. But it is public. For things such as private messaging etc, this would be a complete privacy vialation. But, it is public, voice chat. Its no different than people sending a chat message and others seeing it. Now I get the point of your voice being involved, but still, theres voice changers etc and guys, others can hear it. I understand however how some of you are thinking of it as a privacy issue. Yes, it contains your voice, and you can only hear it when your close to another player. But I sort of have to agree with SLJ. I think
  steve said it good enough with the entire computer thing. You should only collect in the situation of a ban because then it is necessary, however... encrypt it. Mason ive been trying to tell you for a while, you need to encrypt the ultra power packets, because as it stands I must say that any ogg voice data can be easily intersepted right now, unless, you encrypt it. As jack pointed out though, for now, the topic has no more real point to it. Mason removed that exploit for everybody, so case solved. Right? Sure theres the encrypting packets thing, but not all of online games do it anyway so mason isnt really alone here. Anyways... ill stop rambling now, Lol.

whoa. Uh, guys, I... dont know about that jackpot server, considering the scon password is public, unless you want people having your IP and potentually other information about you, I dont know about it, in rtr, scon is away to control the server in the game which basicly means being an admin. Having that public is a huge risk to players. Especially considering the scon password is in the server motd. Erm... I wont make people not play on it of course, I just wanted to throw the warning out there. One good server is josephlee.ddns.net port default.

So guys, I am going to release this thing that might be slightly adicting, just for laughs and fun, and you have to have imagination to get fun out of it. Basicly it is this game whare if you throw an object, the object that it hits breaks. It is called the randomness of sound because it gets the sounds it uses from items in the sounds folder. Hey eloquence, Im going to throw you at this mall and the mall goes by by. It might sceme borring but depending on whats submitted I will explain below, this thing could get rather funny. Its simply that you can add litterily anything and have loads of fun. Lets throw person 2 at person 1, then take a football and throw it at person 2, oh, heres a big rock, lets throw it at a building, heres a pare of earbuds, lets throw it in this guys face, etc. Its not all that fun but like I said with an amagination and if your board and wanna just have something fun this will still be here. So why 1, is th
 is in general game descussion, because it is going to be released, it isnt yet and there will be a topic there when it is. And second, why the heck am I posting this in the first place. Well, because I wanted you guys who are intrested in this to post your own and send it. Basicly what happens is there is objects on the map. So you go and pick up an object, and then you throw it at someone. Hmm, I wonder in this little thing what it would be like, to throw a box of nails at a mall. Hmmm... Its all random. The more we submit as a hole comunity here the more eppic this thing can get. It is ment to be as non realistic as possible. So guys, all I am asking for is 5 simple sounds each that if they are good, they will be in the final release. Lets just go pick up this fire alarm and throw it at this person over here... uh, oops... Anyway, if something completely random sounds fun to you guys, you can help by simply making a folder with your object name, and having the fo
 llowing sounds. loop.ogg: When the object is just on the mappickup.ogg: when you pick up your object from the mapthrow.ogg: when you throw the object, this might be the sound of you hurling a car threw the air if your object was a cardestroy.ogg: this is if your object goes and gets ponedhit.ogg: when your object hits another objectAnd guys, litterily anything. A rubber ducky, a computer screen, a person, a concrete slab, litterily anything, that is the point of this. To get as much random junk as we can, and just think of the consept and what ifs, if I throw this object at anything, it will destroy the object I am throwing it at. It can be a bit funny when you think about it. There is a timer that is running for 3 minutes. How much mayham can you cause... in 3 minutes? WEll anyway guys if something as random and rediculis as this is intresting, please submit your objects and most likely they will be in the release. Again this is just

So maybe a cumpass will be nesasary but I just want to see if I can avoid it. I probably cant but I want to try, by doing improvements. Coding it would be easy but I had nothing of the sort in mind when I made this rotation system. Like I said I want to try the radar thing, whare you track something then simply turn to it and get the beep there, than walk forward, right to it. That might be cool. I fixxed the c key so it shows how it is supposed to, yay! Again maybe none of this will help, I just want to try and if it doesnt, ill probably do an erg, compass. But how it is supposed to work is the only time you should need to know whare your traveling, is when you want to travel something and you know it is in that direction, etc the campground north of the desert, not the stream west of the tree. You should be able to turn twards the stream and just beeline right for it very very easy. I know it scemes like im rediculis for not adding a compass but its

So figured it was time for a responce from me. So lets see here, I have a lot to work with and im glad of it. So yes, I have been planning to slow down the thirst system as well as the hunger system, I have a little coding to do to make that work but it would be pretty easy and if all you agree that thirst rises too fast which I sort of see it, I can slow that down, as well as hunger. That I do agree would help. As for a compass, something very similar I was planning to add is something really awesome that happens in real life, which is moss on trees, so just go to a tree, press x, and if you face the moss rustle sound, your facing north. Youd need a tree but theres plenty. About these goddang killers I know I need to do something about it, thats whare the rules come in. I need to finish them but you have to click an option in the main menu to agree to the rules, and therefor it isnt an admins responsibility if a player breaks one, and I can tell you 
 right now one of them, and a very strict one at that is random killing. I know there not out yet but I think they will help, a lot. Also though, in the real world, the thing with coordinates is you dont know exactly whare you are with out them and I like that. In RP, you can just tell someone oh go to coordinates 183 275 0 and thats whare I am. Ok first, how does the sending player know that, and second, how does the receiver of the message know first about those numbers and how to get there. The system is a new consept, but the idea is so you never know exactly whare you are but in character, im waiting for you behind or south of this pond, for example. So thats some of the things ive gathered and some of the other well things I said rofl, feedback apreciated, and thanks for it guys, I apreciate this.

I may add a cumpas, maybe. I love the landmarks idea, and the new energy idea actually and might do both of those. Also, im thinking so its easier to find one thing, you press a key that shows you a menu of things around you, and when you press enter on a thing or any item, a beep sound would start to loop at that item so you could just turn to it and find it. Do you guys think this is a good or at least improved salution to finding items easier? About the compass thing, like I said maybe. Thats why I wrote about it in the readme and once you learn it it isnt that hard but again maybe Ill add it. Im unsure about it, but I just think it would make things way easier if you knew whare you were going at all times. Like the lighter, for example, will soon be removed. And it will be replaced with more, wilderness, ways to start fires like flint with knife, really all the person needs to survive and then again doesnt need, in real life is a knife
 . I just had in mind whare you had to do the job of figuring out whare you are facing. I might add the northstar at night, for example though. Or I might make it so you can temperarily have a cumpas, ive scene that too, make a puddle of water and put some medal spike, etc your knife in some cork or something and you could find the direction that way I also got ideas of using that fence from the campground, but I just didnt have always knowing your direction in mind when I made this rotation system because you dont always need to know, for example, you walk up to a tree, again I may add this beekon system, infact I think I will because that way it is easy to get anything you need because there is just one sound for the item, so anyway you can just, walk to a tree and go oh, here you are. I really really like severestormsteve1s landmark system, so you wont need to just go west to find water, I might make it so you can see a landmark somewhare, things you 
 can see from a huge distance away, and that could help. Before I really add a cumpas, I want to try some of the above things Ive mensioned and see if we can make it so you have, to know whare you are facing happen a bit less. Because I agree I pushed it a bit too far with that, but I dont think I want a cumpas to fix it. If you dont agree please post here. I think if I make the directions a bit less, oh, water to the left, just turn to it and walk streight. People tend to face certain directions then sidestep but I think youd find that its way easier, and I think steves landmark suggestion is really going to help that. If it comes to whare we need a cumpas ill do it, but the trooth is is you dont have to know your direction as much as you think you do, tell me if I am rong. Even so, If you guys feel that you do, thats needing fixxing, but not with coordinates. If youd just turn to a tree like your supposed to and get it just so y

So I decided to post a seperate topic here about survive the wild, not for the main suggestions, but I think I have done a poor job moderating and was hoping the hole blind comunity could give me some answers. I can take critisism but dont explode at me here please. . Just things that are generally making people not want to play this game. I want to please as many people as I can. Theres some things im aware of and again input would be apreciated. First is the learning curve, I know the readme isnt complete but I am working on it, and if you guys have suggestions about that please post here. Common things are the coordinates and things, but in real life thats litterily how it is. Another thing I hear discussion about is my moderation and litterily I agree. I, am really, bad, at moderating. Im glad I noticed it early, heres what my plan is, again i
 nput would be apreciated here. I was going to make this rules document and get it into as many languages as possible. This way, people would be able to read the rules and the admins would have that strict guideline, including number of warnings and bans. That way the admins arnt running the game and its not just oh im in control, I dont like this person lets do something about it, Ive learned personal things are seperate from the game its self as having to moderate and administrate, but I still think me and all other admins get carried away, and things get immature. Do you think the rules document would be a good idea? That way in most cases, admins cant just randomly ban people, and we have no arguments of oh I got banned for no reason. Another thing I hear is that im only 13 and sh ouldnt be devving games, and maybe thats true, maybe its not. I simply dont think I studied moderation enough and I th
 ink that is whare I made my mistake. I saw a swamp log recently about the hole thing and many other complants, and I know that sometimes that is what makes a game grow. Hi, danny. So, what I was thinking earlier, heres what I think would be really cool to resolve the issue. I mentioned it before, the control console idea. Weather you like it or not I have no idea, but I think it would be cool. Basicly in the galactic network, you could click order controller console. Youd enter the coordinates on your ship, whare ever you want it to be built. Then enter a console you want to link too, it could either show a list and coordinates or you enter the coordinates. Then once you were done, youd confirm your like 1 cred payment, cause after all building that and running wires threw your ship aint that cheap. Then, you could add links from your controler colsole to other consoles. So basicly though youd still have the option to move all around, if the consoles were linked together via the controller, you click enter on the controler and select the console you want to remotely use. And then that colsole menu would just appear up 
 as normal, with all that consoles controls. Another thing id recommend is a security door console, that would be the same as the controler, but would work with doors. Youd link different doors, and than, you couls use that console and by clicking on one of the doors on the console, it would perform the same action as pressing enter on a door. It would stop all needs to purge if you did this, well if you could add a linked thing to the consoles. console

No guys he did more than that, he got at my forum account too and I had a different password. I didnt do anything and yet I got logged out, and I think guillem did it so I would turn on mason for somehow having my password. Im not, but sence he logged in on the furum and locked, both of us out I agree with dark here. And yes I did change to an extreamily long password that takes over 30 seconds to type in alone, but soundworx was deleted because of all this, theres been a lot of cayos, people wont stop chatting me on skype because mason deleted them oh wait I forgot, guillem hacked masons skype and deleted all his contacts and now everyones worried they did something rong, etc. and edit, I just saw guillems post about how the soundworx account and stuff had nothing to do with him, but no one had the password until this happpened, and I dont think its very realistic that it would all get hacked at the exact same time. If it is guillems which has been posted here several times when I IP matched to figure out it was guillem, if this matches than well... but if it doesnt at least we know hes being honest here. I dont know if I should spred that IP but you should check to see weather guilevis IP matches the IP of earlier posts, if you can, and its only a suggestion. It could not, but at least wed know. Unless hes using vpn but anyway lol.

first, I would like to say this should really be in the dev room sence we are talking about code. Anyway, though very messy, you could try adding this. You could make different code to make it easier, but anyway, add this right below update sound, and make sure behind pitch decrease, is 0. pool.items[falling_sound].pitch=100-(height*x); whare x is the encroment of the pitch you want to decrease, like 5 would make the pitch decrease faster. Note that this might not work and were messing with the pure snd object in the pool item class which as philip noted isnt really recommended, but that could work. Goahead and give it a shot.

lol, mom actually got me those once but I couldnt figure out the first thing about them and they always crashed my computer when I ran them, lol. Probably cause I was on an xp netbook with one gig of ram and a bad processer, not to mention like oh, what was it, 120 gig hd or something? Lol.

Im not a jaws user my self, but I know rtr desplays its text threw the window title, which jaws doesnt autoread. I havnt used rtr in some time so I dont know if theres a way to turn it to sapi, but unless theres a way in jaws to make it always say the changing window title, youre gonna have to use NVDA for RTR.

Room 8... lets see. Just start, and jump to the top of all the platforms you can. After you go up the latter, you will see a concrete platform off to the right of that. Jump onto it. Go to the very end of it, then, jump, and keep pressing right arrow as you fall, until your x is 200. If you hit the ground, then take the teleporter to the left. It takes you back to that concrete platform. Then, wait there until you hear too lifts go by. Wait a couple more seconds so you have time while in the air to get to 200. Once you are there, let your self fall onto the lift and let it take you. Once you hear a beep above you, start jumping madly so you end up off the firt, then on the concrete. Then, take the door at the right of the platform, you will then get the key, and you will be put in the area with the winning door. Jump up while repeatedly pressing enter.

To answer your question, revolvers can be gotten from any gifts. As well as knives, maps, and a bunch of other stuff you cant get otherwise! Even flairs! I have gifts on usually but no one generally pays atantion to them, if you know there on, which you can find out by typing /gifts, then everyone as a hole will have to both survive and look for them. One person can do it but its usually very hard and tedious. But if theres a party of people searching the map, someone will find it. And, if they do, if they pick up that box, everyone on the server will get one and the server notifies everyone it was you who found it! So just if gifts are on, go grab the boxes and youll be good to go! Then you have a chance at getting revolvers, rockguns, flairs, etc. And you can get rocks for rockguns somewhare, thats for youto figure out.
