Cool, I’ll look into it. Which platform is it for, and where can you download it?

Curious if anybody on here knows of any playable rhythm games that let you use your own music library?

Good to know.  i use Jaws, but I'm sure NVDA wouldn't be too hard to pick up.  Is there anything else I have to add on to the program, or does it come with NVDA?  Also, would running the OCR and the game at the same time cause any problems with performance?  I'm still unsure if my computer can handle the game by itself, let alone have other programs running in the background while I play.

Also, Steam has a refund policy that you can get your money back provided you have less than two hours of playtime within 14 days of purchasing the game. Looking at the specs again, seems like I might be able to run the game. I’ve got more than enough memory, and processor is i7-6500 at 2.5GHz (recommended is i5-4690 at 3.5 GHz).    I’m also wondering about the  OCR program people have been using to read the menus. Do I need to download/buy  a particular Screenreader /program to get that to work?

Same here.  Most people I know who play Street fighter say that five is much easier than four. As for  Blazblu, I couldn’t seem to get the hang of it at all.   Not sure if it’s the fact that I haven’t really put any time into the game (have just tried it one or two times on a friends console), or that the  Game just doesn’t have as good audio   feedback as something like Street fighter.  After double-checking  the specs for Street fighter five, I’m not sure how well my (non-gaming) PC will handle it. Even if I can run the game, I’m not sure if I would be able to have a screen reader/OCR program running in the background  at the same time. However, I could be wrong. Guessing that no one here on the forums has a special-build gaming computer.

Re: Soulcalibur 6 (or soul calibur vi) announced

I’ve heard rave reviews about this game Series,  but really don’t know much about it, other than that it’s 3-D.Not entirely sure how playable  the game is, with my only other experiences in 3-D fighting games not going so well (Tekin).   Sounds like from the discussion on this thread, I’d imagine this game should be relatively accessible from a game play/combat standpoint?

Re: Street Fighter Accessibility?

Quick update.  Tried SFV  on a friend's console,  and it's definitely playable.     The advice you guys gave seemed to help quite a bit. The only issue I'M now  coming across is the  difference between the game play slash mechanics in SFV compared to the NRS titles.    Does anyone know of some good YouTube channels, websites, etc. that would be a good place to find out more about the game (I.E.  combos, matchup's, etc.). While I've  found some stuff out on YouTube and other sites,  the format doesn't seem to be very accessible when  compared to what's out there for games like injustice.A good example of what I'm talking about is videos like this one.  https://youtube.com/watch?list=PLq17GmZ … oCkWR9dAoo   In contrast, most of the tutorial videos for SFV just flash the inputs up on the screen, with no commentary.      Thanks,Ultradude306

Street Fighter Accessibility?

2017-10-29 Thread AudioGames . net ForumGeneral Game Discussion : ultradude306 via Audiogames-reflector

Street Fighter Accessibility?

I've been getting into fighting games recently, mainly Injustice 2, after I was told that it was playable with no sight.   I've really enjoyed the game, and found that, while I'ts not perfect, I can usually play against most sighted players no problem.  The only issue that i have really come across is a lack of competition, as my internet is nowhere near good enough for online play, and the majority of gamers in my area are into street fighter and a few other more obscure titles like guilty gear.  I would gladly join them in the other games, however, injustice and mortal kombat (the NRS games) are the only ones that I've found to be playable.  Apparently the street fighter games are also somewhat accessible, but try as I might, I can't get them to work for me.  Whenever I have tried to play them (mainly street fighter five), I have no idea what's going on, as the sounds don't seem nearly as clear as the NRS games.  If anyone here has tips/tricks for the street fighter games, I would greatly appreciate your responses.I appoligise if a similar topic has already been posted.  If so, please post a link, and I will gladly check it out.Sincerely,Ultradude306
