Yukio, My data makes my game crash. Everytime I press on "Load Game" with the save-file located in the Data-folder (as usually), the game plays the half of the sound it should play and collapses. When I delete it or move it into another location and press enter on "Load Game", it shows all my "empty" slots.It's not too bad though, because I have copied the file when it was stable. Can anyone help me with flight missions? What are the keystrokes? What does the alarm mean? What do I have to do after it appears? I have been thinking about this for a bit and finally came to the conclusion that you should leave things as they are. First we mustn't forget that this is a game developed for the blind, which means that the majority is blind or at least visually impaired. There aren't many sighted users I think.I have a sighted friend, who doesn't play Swamp, because he criticizes the bad graphics. I told him that they are only meant to be a tiny help and not to make Swamp a looking-like-mainstream game. And what do you think? He doesn't play Swamp!I think there are some more sighted people out there, who are thinking like that. And if there are even sighted players, playing Swamp and using the graphic mode to have perhaps a little advantage, that's okay! First of all, Windows 8 - for those who are using it and have issues - is not the problem. I'm using Windows 8.1 myself and Swamp works fine.As Aprone has already mentioned, don't skip running the command prompt as an Administrator. A friend of mine once had a problem to register Swamp, because she forgot running the command prompt as Administrator. Though on my old Vista machine, if I have the User Account Control deactivated, I don't have to press on "run as Administrator", since it does it automatically.SLJ, Good work man taking the time to write the instructions so detailed. If I concentrate on food, the invaders ruin my buildings. If I build enough houses, so that my people have the opportunity to procreate, I run out of food and everyone starves. To be honest, I've only completed mission 1 and 2 so far. On mission 3 I worked a lot with walls, but I apparently built them to close to each other, so that I hadn't enough space to build my buildings. I couldn't get every catapult, which obviously didn't provide any help for my settlement. I'm not even sure if they should. CAE, Thanks for your advice. As a side note, normal houses also show the stocked up fire wood.Unfortunately not many people are still playing this game. How do you imagine a fully implemented online mode? There is already a way to play online together with others. You can chat and interact with them. So I don't get what you want. Concerning translations create a subfolder in the "res" folder within your SoundRTS folder. Type "ui-" followed by the abbreviation of your country. Soin your case name it "ui-dk". Translate the English "tts.txt" file, which can be found in the "ui" folder, to Danish and save it in your "ui-dk" folder.Last but not least make a recorded translation of the files in the "actor" folder, again found in the "ui" folder. Just build the barracks at a1, get 3 or 4 peasants and force them to exploit the gold mine. When you have enough gold, keep recruiting footmen. Leave them at a1 and use all of them to defeat the invaders. There is a fix point, when and where they come. Hi SLJ,In b1 you get killed by an invisible power? Dark archers are upgraded archers, which are invisible. To make them temporary visible, you need either a flying machine - which you don't have in that chapter - or a priest. Use holy vision of the priest on b1, so that your knights can see their opponent and kill him. Do the same on c1. But be careful!: After about 10 seconds (I believe) the power of this spell subsides and you have to cast it again, if you don't want your knights to die due to the invisibility of their enemies.The menu item below campaign is orc. In version 1.2-a6 the possibility to choose or create races was added. Orc is an example race and the menu item gives you the opportunity to look how it works. (It’s another mission consisting of 1 chapter.) You can also activate the orc mod for multiplayer maps. For that, go into your user subfolder within the game folder and open the file "soundrts.ini". Go down to "mods =" and type "orc" after the equals sign. If you have activated the mod, the game will choose your race - human or orc - randomly. I wouldn't recommend you to activate it though, because the orc race is limited to a few units and buildings. Let's say your enemy is a human and you are an orc. Your opponent has upgraded several archers to dark archers, but you can't build a workshop or temple, to recruit a flying machine or priest, that can make the dark archers visible. SLJ, More orc missions would only make sense, if there was more to learn. The only buildings you can build are the great hall, the pig farm and the barrack, and the only units you can recruit are peons (that are like peasants) and grunts (that are like footmen). Thanks SLJ. Victorious, Some versions ago the possibility to create and use races was added. SoundMUD created the example orc race. The mission shows you how it works. Moreover, you can play with orcs on the multiplayer maps.
