Make sure aim assist is on in the control settings, then you should be able to center the sound in your headphones and kill them. You can always use the knife too. Best way to use it is to press r2 without holding l2.

@Aron Leppik: Just wandering, are you totally blind?I went into the settings and reset the camera settings to the default. That fixed a lot of issues for me, but I still find a lot of places, where the camera have to be in the exact hight or angle to interact with the object.I haven't been on any ship yet, which means you are much further than me.Do you have any tips for the enemies? Or any clue on what I'm doing wrong?I would gladly post what my camera settings are set to, but I don't know how to check that. I don't find the OCR very helpful regarding the camera settings, but I might be able to count the setting if it doesn't wrap.

Hi.I should start playing the game again.I can indeed confirm that the camera is the main issue in this game. It frustrates the hell out of me when I mess it up.I'm currently stuck in part 2, where the first none human enemies appears. I take extremely much damage, and I can't hit the enemies very wel for some reason.When reading the walkthrough, finding Jack for the final time seems quite overwhelming. Especially when navigating through all those rooms. But it might be easier than it sounds.Do you know if I'll get the Mac version as well if I buy the game on Steam? My virtual Windows is not powerful enough to run the game.It seems like there is a difference regarding the camera between the Xbox version and the pc version. I would like to test if there is any difference.

I'm not sure. OCR works very well with the PC version, especially in your inventory and storage box later in the game. Maybe your cursor isn't focused on an item?

Okay i try it. But when i start the game, open main menu, and here i want to know what i have of options, i set nvda configure on lap-top, press nvda + r and hear: running ocr. After 3,4 second i heear no text found. On some way i pressing araound and start a game. I hear intro video in which Ethan gets message and come to Luisiana. After that i can walk arround, i press i and here i try doing ocr with hope to nvda start read items. but again no text were found. What i doing wrong?

If your pc is good enough you sure can. I suggest you to play using a controller. The main issue in this game is the camera, so using the right stick correctly is the key to not mess anything up. Besides, the puzzles requires you to use both analog sticks and I haven't done any testing when it comes to completing them using the mouse.

Thanks for your quick reply.There is no music, because I killed Jack. Lol. I found out that this was much easier. I'm sure I'm selecting the right item. It makes the same sound as the dog heads. I have tried with all my items just to be sure. I have moved the sticks very carefully, but it doesn't work. Do you know if you also can point up or down in those puzzles? I have also tried to move the sticks once, and then press the action button without any luck. The odd thing is that we only get a confirmation when pressing the action button.Edit:I finally got it! It turns out that my camera angle was messed up again. So the only thing I needed to do was to move the right analog stick up once, and then it freaking worked! Yay, big time...

I will give you instructions on how to turn the music down later, it'll make things a lot easier. For the puzzle, make sure to first select the correct item when you're at the projector. What you told me is the exact thing you should do, make sure to move the analog sticks carefully. I'm hoping it works, I'm not sure about being able to complete this with trial and error.

No, I did not get sighted help to check camera settings, I used OCR but ended up not changing any of the options. I'm glad you figured it out and that you're having an easier time with the game now. Yeah, i also get to turn by looking up or down at times, so try and do it slowly when you need to.What you can do to flee from Jack is just go back to the laundry room. He cannot follow you there. The puzzle where you need to line up the statue you found in the bathroom on the projector is extremely simple and is on the north of the main hall, and when you get passed it Jack cannot follow you there either. I don't recall about the scream though.

Hi.I have now got sighted help to check the camera and how it works in the Xbox version of the game. That is, after having set the settings back to defaults.When turning, Ethan does not turn as fast as in the pc version. If you are phasing north and wanna turn east, then you need to turn until he have taken two footsteps. Then you might think that you can just count the footsteps to turn all the way around. If you do that, you won't line up strait north again.@Seb: Have you actually got sighted help to check up on that in the pc version?The good news in the Xbox version with the default settings is:Because of the footsteps while turning, it is quite easy to line up again when you turn back. It doesn't matter much if you don't fully line up so you walk strait north again. It will sometimes makes movement more difficult, but it doesn't matter that much, if you try to line up as good as possible. When you save the game and then load your game, then you will be lined up again so you walk strait.I also used the sighted person to figure out the following: When you have to look down, you only need to move the right stick down two or three times. You can't move more down than four quick presses. I wander if that's the same in the pc version. Speaking about looking up or down: I also got confirmed that in the Xbox version, you can easily turn the character as well when looking up or down. I'm not sure if it's just me who moves the right stick wrong by mistake.Setting the camera settings to the defaults makes navigation easier when it comes to turning in the Xbox version. I'm sure I messed that up when launching the game for the first time.Now to my progress in the game:I have got the first two dog's heads and installed them in the door. I'm now in the bathroom where the game auto saves. I've noticed that the game autosaves in rooms or at places, where you have to do something important to continue. This is extremely helpful.I know I have to flee from Jack again after having got the key from the bathroom. I don't look forward to flee from him again, because I'm not sure on where to find the broken crate where I can jump down, and I'm not sure on where to find the puzzle on the first floor.What comes afterwards seems, out from the walkthrough, really challenging. But it might be easier than it sounds like. But I'm still up for the challenge.Right now, I just have to do something else after having spent lots of time on the game this morning.By the way: @seb: Have you heard the scream from somewhere in the house if you are going in the wrong direction for a while? Do you know where it comes from? Damn that freaked me out the first time I heard it.

Hi.so, the game is downloaded and I did try it out abit, I managed to reach that front gate and interact with it, I can't find that broken intercom though which should be to the right as the guide says, but the way seams to be blocked there, so I guess I have to fiddle around abit more. I suppose you start out heading north? would be good to know, currently I move by side stepping to the left or right because I yet have the tendency to get lost.Are there any settings for the camera I need to change? @sljunfortunately, resident evil 3 is not playable, not at 100% at least.i played it with a friend back when i was a teenager, and it was great. those puzzles were extremely hard for us to do, especially if we take into consideration that we had no internet at that time.in 2018, i managed to finish re3, using OCR and an emulator. the only thing that maybe is of some help, is that when you walk, when the game changes cammera angles your character will stop for a very short pause. that is the only cue to know youre going somewhere.but basically, it has the same isswes that seb described with re4.Oh, i think i can say this for sure.  in the remake, nemesis will be a pain while we try to memorize things... star...

I'm pretty sure the remake of Resident evil 3 will be playable. The main reason why resident evil 4 is not playable for us is due to the controls and the turning. And yes, Resident evil 4 is indeed a great game.You definitely did progress pretty far. I'm honestly glad that someone is enjoying the game and progressing so well to be honest. What you need to do is press the action button after you fix the clock, you'll pick up the dog head which you then need to insert on the door leading outside, I believe to the left of the main hall.I'm sure you came across the grandma. She's in a wheelchair and doesn't really scare us since we cannot see her. Do not use Mia's tape. This part of the game is not mandatory and I never played it due to getting a game over every time you're seen.

Hi.@mr.brunete: Wow. is Resident Evil 3 even playable? I have RE4 for ps2 and gave it a serious try many years ago, but the areas are huge, really huge, and there is a lot of shooting and tons of zombies as well. So I gave up.However, I saw one of my sighted friends completed the game, and damn what an awesome experience. There are QTE's in the cutseens as well, and you will get hurt a lot or properly die if you miss those.@Seb:I have finally made some progress in RE7, but I'm now stuck again. Seems like I'm really good when it comes to testing guides, and properly play games as they aren't ment to be played. I went into the game settings to reset the camera settings. The camera doesn't work exactly as you describe in the pc version, but I figured things out so I managed to grab the frame, not just once, but multiple times because I messed things up the way that I only can do it. Lol. I took some notes on how I did it.Then I tried to answer the phone, but for some strange reason, it stopped ringing and I couldn't locate it. I don't know what that phone call trickers, but I tried to skip it and might pick it up later on.I took the pendul from the grandfather clock, went back to the other clock to install it. I can confirm that I didn't messed that up for sure, because the clock started to chime.Now something strange happened: I should have gotten a key or an other item to insert in the main door, right? I didn't got anything for fixing the clock. I even loaded my saved game twice to try that part again. I got nothing, and I even used OCR to confirm that.Well, then I tried to continue. I got into the room with the tape recorder and picked up Mias tape. OCR confirmed that.I found an other room, where something like a radio played some news. THis radio is not mentioned in the walkthrough for some reason. I have found a few things in the game, which is not mentioned in the walkthrough.The walkthrough mentions a fluid under the stairs, but I haven't managed to find it yet. I easily get stuck in this part of the house.The walkthrough also mentions a gramma which might freak you out, but I haven't noticed her yet.I'm not sure on what to do because of the missing item from the clock.

Ok, I managed to enter the product key for the game into my steam client, when I want to install the game though I can't get past the license agrement, there is that I agree button but clicking on it doesn't seam to do anything. the task bar icon of steam says that it's working, but the continue button at the license screen doesn't come up, it remains at back, i agree or cancel.Greetings Moritz.

Hi.@seb: I'll take a serious look at the camera settings tomorrow if my job doesn't come in the way.@simba: The camera issue I'm having is the following on the Xbox:When turning the camera or when looking up or down, I'm not able to line up a strait angle again. That means I don't walk strait in the rooms, making it extremely difficult to locate the objects and dors.In the pc version, and properly in the Xbox version depending on the camera settings, you can turn like described in the guide.The workaround for this issue is to use a combination of side stepping and turn 180 de grese by pressing B and backwards on the left stick. The game is designed so objects does not need to be right in front of you to interact with them.An other issue, which is much more frustrating for me is the following:The items needs to be at the same level as the camera. That means in some situations, you need to crouch to interact with the objects. Otherwise, you simply won't be able to interact with it and you'll walk just pass it without noticing. Now comes the biggest issue for me in the Xbox version, which I'm not sure about is because of the camera settings or not:I've found two items, which is placed between the level of the camera when the game loads and when crouching. That means, for the first item, that you have to point the camera a bit downwards to interact with the object. THe other item, which is the frame where I'm at currently, I haven't figured that out yet. Sometimes when pointing the camera up or down in the Xbox version of the game, that also turns the character.A workaround for me to fix the camera angle is to save the game afterwards, and then load the game, and the camera angle is normal.At Friday, a sighted person is going to visit me the whole day. I'll see if I can get her to help if resetting the settings tomorrow doesn't help. I'm still puzzled about this difference between the Xbox version and the pc version. Maybe I have done something wrong the very first time I launched the game, I don't know. But I hope I'll figure it out soon. I will of course keep you updated.

I honestly wish I knew how to help SLJ with the camera differences when it comes to the XboxOne version, however I have the game on pc only. I'm sure there is a setting that can be changed in the options' menu. When it comes to challenges, this game will definitely give you one. If it weren't for the camera issues SLJ has been dealing with, he would've progressed way further I have no doubt about that.

I haven't tried the extra game modes, so get the standard edition. I can confirm that the main story can be completed without sighted assistance. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the guide for the main house should also be uploaded.

Also, what about the extra storie parts that are available? A quick steam search pulled up extra storie chapters for Chriss and others.I can get the game quite cheap, instead of 49 euros I can get the standard edition for 7 and the gold edition for 12, so which one should I get?Greetings Moritz.

Hi.@Simba:The guide in the first post should contain text files for all 7 levels.@seb:The key is behind the frame. I found out that it was indeed the freaking camera issue which plays a trick on me again. I seriously hate the camera feature in this game.I had to load my saved game after I figured this out because I messed up my camera again. Now, I'm trying to figure out if I have to look up or down when I load the game to focus on the frame.If I could rip out that freaking annoying and frustrating camera issue from the game, then I might have completed the game long time ago. It took me around three hours to figure that one out, because the instructions on turning right which works in the pc version doesn't work in the Xbox version.When I get more time to play the game, I'll try to reset all the settings to see if that makes the camera settings better.Again, thanks for your help. Now I at leased know what's wrong. It just takes forever for me to find the frame again because of the camera.

You are awesome. Thank you very much. Then I think I didn't grabbed the key, because I didn't knew you have to use the right analog stick to unscrew the frame. I'll see if I can find the frame again without turning Ethan, because that mess up the angle for me. However, there is an automatically savepoint right at the door where you have to insert the key, also if you don't have it. I'm surprised how nice this game is, and I'm great that you can't mess it up.Thanks a lot as well for the instructions on the storage box. I look forward to give this a try. I'll let you know when I got the key.

The good news is, there's no way you threw the key away. First, let's see if the key is in your storage box. I assume you know where the laundry room is. When you're inside the room, strafe all the way left, crouch down and move about 4 steps right. You should be in front of the box. The way it works is simple: the left column contains all of the items you've put in the box, press the confirm button to put the focused item in your inventory. Pressing right once will bring you to your regular inventory so you can deposit some items in the box. Use OCR to know which item you are focused on.If the key is not in the box, you left it up the ladder. Go back to the garage and climb up the ladder. Turn to the east, you'll know you're at the right angle when you hear Ethan turning. Turn right another 30 degree by moving the right stick to the right once. While hugging the right wall, move north/south while pressing the action button, you'll pick up the frame. You need to turn it upside down by moving the right analog stick to the right. Keep doing that while pressing the action button, you will unscrew the wing nut on the back. When you hear that, keep pressing the action button to grab the key.Hope this helps

Hi.I'm still playing the game from time to time, making some small progress.I'm stuck again, and I might have messed up something. I'm at the door where I have to use the key to the Ox Statuette. The thing is: I don't have the key. None of my items works, and I don't see it when using OCR. Even worse: I remember I unscrewed the box while I climbed the latter. I have been up there multiple times, but I don't find anything up there.I might have dropped the ox statuette in the storage box by accident while looking for the savepoint. The thing is: I don't know exactly how to find the storage box, and if I do, then I don't know how to use it. I don't hope I have thrown the key away.

Hi SLJ, glad you started to play this game again. Here are the answers to your questions:1. How do you manage your inventory and make sure you don't drop the wrong items? I'm also worried about not having enough space for keys and other important items. The first time I completed the game, I had issues with this. You probably know by now that each item has its own sounds when you pick one up, and it gets put into your last unused inventory slot. I had to make a list on notepad to keep track of this, but luckily, this game works well with OCR, so when you're positioned on an item while navigating the inventory you'll get a description of the item in question, so you don't need to take notes anymore.2. How do you make sure you have enough bullets for the gun? I especially think about the small enemies which pops up multiple times. I don't rememberwhat they are called. I could just imagine myself using all the shots on those, or need to reload from the last save point, and have to play a lot of thechapter again because I either forgot to save, or because I'm far away from the save point.What you can do is use the knife on these if you don't have a lot of ammo, but I don't recall it being a major issue. If you make sure the enemy is centered when you shoot you shouldn't have a problem.Let me know if you have other questions

Hi.Yes, it is also for Windows. A controller is highly recommended. You might not phase the same movement issues I'm having if you are playing it on pc. Seb is playing it on pc as wel, and he does not have those issues.

Hi.Am I and Seby the only one who are playing this game?I'm bringing up this old topic again, because I'm currently giving the game yet an other try after I nearly had given up because of the movement issues I'm having on my XBox.I'm really glad I gave the game an other try, because I figured out something awesome, which I need to play some more with to get confirmed that it works like it seems to do:It seems like, if you move the right analog stick to look up or down to reach an object, this will get back to the defaults so you look strait again if you save your game and then load your saved game.That means I found a solution at the place I was stuck. It seems like you are forced to look down to unlock the trapdoor in chapter 2 when escaping from Jack. that was giving me lots of movement issues, because I find it difficult to look strait again, and moving the analog stick up or down does also seem to turn the character which makes the situation even worse. I'll get lots of sighted help in the future because of an awesome change in my life which is totally off topic for gaming, but that means I'll be able to check up on lots of things regarding to playable games in the future.When you have to pick up the phone, it also seems like you need to look down. I couldn't get croch to work.So here is how I solved this issue:1. As soon as I entered the room with the phone, I found the tape recorder to save the game.2. Reloaded my saved game, which both turned me into the right direction, and made me look strait again.3. Answered the phone which screwed up my movement again.4. Saved the game again and reloaded to continue.I even tried to answer the phone three times to make sure it wasn't just by luck. I'm sure this strategy will save me a ton of frustration in the future.I'm now in the garage where I have to fight Jack.If I ever complete the game, then I will help by making a lot of notes on how I do it. Maybe make some recordings as well. Well, we'll see how far I get until I get stuck, but I'm really glad I picked this up again.Edit:@Seby:I just read in the walkthrough about what is going to happen in chapter 2. I normally don't do that.I have a few questions, which I don't remember if you have answered before:1. How do you manage your inventory and make sure you don't drop the wrong items? I'm also worried about not having enough space for keys and other important items.2. How do you make sure you have enough bullets for the gun? I especially think about the small enemies which pops up multiple times. I don't remember what they are called. I could just imagine myself using all the shots on those, or need to reload from the last save point, and have to play a lot of the chapter again because I either forgot to save, or because I'm far away from the save point.That's what I'm mostly worried about when reading all the stuff I have to do in chapter 2. But it might be easier than it sounds.

Thanks for your reply.Regarding the chasing part: If I don't fully understand how things works, then I start to experiment with things in many combinations until I finally figure out something which makes sense. It doesn't seems like many people actually have experimented that much with this part. I look very much forward to hear what you figure out, and if you come to the same conclusion than me. My strategy does not work all the time for some reason, but it works for me more than half of the times I do it.Feel free to use the strategy in your guide. I'm just glad if it helps, and if you also find this strategy easier. I think it will turn into interesting results that I sometimes play the game differently than you, where I might find more different strategies in the future.Regarding the tape recorder and picking up the phone: I will pay more attention to the camera angle. Yes you might be right that it might point down. My camera controls are still very difficult to use. I tried a few times that the character turned, when I would point the camera up or down.Regarding the out side area: No it is not back in the trapdoor, unless the sound invirements has changed a lot. The walking steps sounds like when walking on the path outside the house, and the sound invirements are totally different. I wander why this place isn't mentioned in the walkthrough. Maybe it's a new area which has been added in an update, or maybe it is an area which is not that much important. There are some noisy doors in the area as well, which I can't go through.I will hopefully get time to play the game some more tonight.

Don't be sorry at all. The way you got passed the part where Jack chases you seem way easier than what I was doing. I never really experiment with things just like you did, I just restarted for hours trying to get through that part. I'm so glad that someone else is enjoying this game and I will test your strategy and if it works great I will edit the guide, giving you all the credit of course. Now for the tape recorder, you honestly should be crouched when trying to interact with it, just like when you answer the phone. Just do your best to center its sound and press a/x to answer it. What I think the problem is to be honest is your camera might be still pointing down due to you unlocking the trapdoor. Try to move your right analog stick all the way down and then move it up 5 or 6 times to center the camera. If you hear the ambiance change, you're actually not outside but back in the trapdoor, so turn around and climb back in the room.

Hi.I don't know what I previously messed up regarding downloading the latest version of your guide. I downloaded it a week ago, but I must have replaced the wrong file or whatever.Thanks a lot. I finally got passed Jack and through the trap door. I played with him the whole night, and i found an easier way to do it:Please note the following:1. Crouching does not seem to make any difference. What really matters is if you turn towards him, or if you turn away from him. He doesn't chase you that much if you turn your back to him.2. He does not go into the garage and back to the area where you pick up the key very often. Especially not if you turn the back to him.Here is how I do it:1. Go to the locked door, turn around and walk forward until he appears.2. Turn around and walk forward back to the locked door.3. Walk left and forward into the garage, and stay in the north east connor, phasing the wall.4. Wait until he opens and smash the door twice.5. Back out of the garage, and do not turn around yet.6. Walk to the right back to the locked door.7. Turn around, point the camera down a bit and then walk forward and pick up the key.8. Walk backwards, walk right until you reach the right wall, and continue to walk backwards until you find the opening to the right.9. Now you have to react fast as hell. Run right while smashing the A button very quickly. Then you'll open the kitchen door.10. When you open the kitchen door, run in zikzak forward to make sure you walk through the door, and to throw off Jack if he is too close.11. Run forward and run through the next door.12. run north west to the trap door to escape.That sounds more complicated, but I find it much easier in this way. Why? Because when I enter the garage after I have picked up the key from the table, Jack waits right outside in the hall, and I find it difficult to hear when he walks away, to hear if the path is clear or not.I'm now in the weird room with the ringing phone and the other strange sounds. For some reason, I am not able to pick up the phone. No matter what I do, I can't pick it up when turning towards it. I have loaded from the chasing savepoint three times because I thought I messed up the camera, but I can't do it which I find weird.There is also a strange area, where it sounds like I'm walking outside. I'm not sure if I jumped out of the window, because I was not able to get in again. I picked up an item out there, which I don't know what is.I tried to find the tape recorder to save the progress, but I didn't found it. I have spend a lot of time searching this room.It seems like I can walk out in the rest of the house, also before picking up the phone. Then the phone can be used as a sound source. But it feels like this is the wrong thing to do.1. Do you have any clue on why I'm not able to pick up the phone?2. I wander why I can't find the tape recorder to save the game. I can only find the place where I can store things from my inventory, or I assume this is what I have found.Maybe I'm just really good at messing things up, or find things which aren't mentioned in the walkthrough.I'm sorry that I constantly need to ask for help, but I find this quite confusing..

I edited that part a few weeks ago and I even removed the part about the table being destroyed, because I didn't use the same strategy, that part was helpful for sighted people only. So make sure to download the guide again and try my strategy. Hopefully you get passed that part.

I have read the latest version of your guide, but something seem to have changed in the game from your recording to how my game reacts:In your recording, it sounds like you walk right up to the locked hatch door, crouch and just wait to Jack comes. When I do that, he just randomly hits the door hard and nothing else happens.Then I walk down the hallway until he shows up. Here I have noticed something interesting: If I phase him, he notice me right away. But if I walk through the hallway with the back phasing him, he does not notice me until I'm very close to him.I think I understand how you do this part. currently, I'm not sure on where the kitchen is. But I'll figure it out for sure.I'm just confused by this massive change to the game which I described above.By the way: Regarding chapter 1: Did you know about the extra gun, ammo and health pack in the room where Mia shows up? Have you noticed it is very hard to make her appear if you pick those up instead?I have written some extra notes about chapter 1, which I'll gladly send to you when I have edited those a bit.Because of my camera issues, I think I'm playing the game a bit different than you. It would be interesting to talk more about the game as I make progress, to find the easiest ways to do the different parts. Hi Seb.I've managed to complete chapter one. I didn't knew there is an extra gun in the room where the boss shows up. Walking into the room before that and pick up what you need was much easier for me.I'm now in chapter 2, and I have no idea on where to go.Something seems to be changed in the game after the recordings has ben made. When Jack shows up, some music starts to play. I have tried to wait for him, but no luck.I have no idea on where to go when he starts to chase me. I don't know where the key to the trapped door is, and I don't know where the door is as well. Hi.After extremely many hours of keep trying, I managed to place the fuse into the fusebox. Navigating this damn house is nearly impossible when the camera angle is messed up. I figured out a quite easy way for me to insert the fuse into the box when I have found the right room.I met Mia on the stairs, but couldn't find the button to press. Do you have any great hints?It's a shame that the game doesn't save after having placed the fuse into the fusebox, but now, I at leased know how to do it.

Hi seb2314.I have a request which I really hope you are both willing and able to do.Make a demonstration explaining how you navigate the house. Also demonstrate how you make sure you walk through the door. Please do that without turning the character, but only make the 180 de grease turn.I would like to hear a demo of how you know what room you are in, and if possible, how you navigate the house when it's raining and thundering outside. It's difficult to hear the foot steps.I have absolutely no idea on where I am in the house, what room I'm in, if I have walked through the door, or if I just have opened or closed the door without walking through it.I've just spend one more hour playing the game, where I loaded from the save point where I have to find the fuse, which I couldn't do because I have no idea on where the kitchen is. I did that before just by luck which took me three hours.So, I hope it'll make more sense for me if you would make a demonstration telling how you navigate the house, how to make sure you walk through the doors, where the kitchen is, the living room and all the other rooms. It might help others in the future as well.

The tape player is in the living room, the same room where the fuse box is. Simply go inside, turn around and close the door, then move slightly to the left. The box is on the same wall as the door, on its left when facing it

Hi.I finally got some time to play the game again.I'm making some very small progress, and I'll say this game requires extremely much patience.I'm currently at the part where I have picked up the fuse, and need to place it into the fuse box. But I'm still not able to navigate the house very well, and I get lost all the time. I have searched for more than 3 hours, but I don't find the fuse box. So I give up, at leased for now.I have no sighted assistance, so I have no clue on how to fix my camera issues. I hope I find the fuse box by luck next time I play the game. I even messed up that much so I went into the room with the video tape player.Do you have any hints on how to find that damn fuse box?

Hi.I have noticed something interesting regarding the camera and navigation. I'm not totally sure about this, but it seems like it works as follows:Picking up objects does not require the camera to be totally centered at the object. It seems like the object will be picked up even if it is 30 de grease to the left or to the right for you. I have to get sighted help to figure out if it's more de grease. What I have noticed is that if you sidestep, you can step yourself into the right persission most of the time. If the object is behind you, then you can do the same after having turned around. I have to get more experienced with the game to test this, but I would like to hear others experiences and thoughts regarding this.

Screw the map and the herbs, you won't need those. What I did is actually asked permission from the guy who wrote the walkthrough to edit it, so some things written there are not necessary. I suppose you're playing on normal difficulty anyway, so your health regenerates over time. You are in an east/west corridor. You need to try and open the door on the opposite side of the passage to see that it's locked. You're then going to hear knocking on the basement door, so just head back where you came from.

Now I'm upstairs again, where it's raining and thundering outside. I triggered something which makes someone hammering like crazy on a door, which suddenly stops when I wander around for a while.According to the walkthrough, I should pick up a map and some herbs. I'm still not able to navigate the house, and I have no idea on what room I'm in. So I'm just wandering around.Well, enough of this game for today. The game is much harder for me than I thought it would be, but I am slowly making progress. My biggest issue is the navigation, where I have no idea on where I am in the house. Because of that, I'm not sure on if I will be able to continue far in the game, until I have got better at this. I have read in the walkthrough that I'll be chased through the house in chapter 2, where I could imagine it being very important to know what you are doing.I haven't given up yet...

Finally, finally, finally!You wrote your answer when I was writing my post about giving up. I didn't knew he is crouching when walking, so you press crouch, and walk when he is crouching. That small detail makes things much easier. I finally found the cutter after wandering around a few minutes while crouching.  Thanks a lot man.Regarding the settings: I can hopefully get some sighted help to check that. Otherwise, things might get very difficult later on. Back to the game.

What I found difficult is the fact that you need your camera to be positioned at the same height as the objects. The bolt cutters are about 5 or 6 steps away from the cell door, if you wander too far you'll go to the wrong passage. What really doesn't help you is the turning. I hope there's a setting for the Xbox that changes that.

Hi.Okay, I give up, at leased for now.I have tried to change the camera settings, but I can't make the adjustment where I turn 90 de grease each time a footstep is heard. Therefore, I only find the things to interact with by luck, and I wander around for hours to make just some small progress.I have tried for more than two hours to find the bolt cutter and the list of notes from the bench. No matter what I do or where I crouch in the area, I don't find it.When it is that difficult for me to pick up the items, then I don't see myself getting very far in the game. That is, of course, if I get the camera controls fixed, or if I get used to the navigation in other ways.However, the really great thing is that the game have saved right before the place where I have to find the bolt cutter, so I don't have to do the swimming part again. I really like that the game save that often. That makes it easier to make a small progress, and then come back to the game later.@Seb: Did you also find it that extremely difficult to find the bolt cutter on your first playthrough?

Well, some objects are definitely not important to look at, such as pictures or notes scattered around the place.It's totally normal you're having an easier time navigating the guest house if you are turned 90 degree to the right, since all the passages are pretty much in front of you. As far as the camera settings, what you're dealing with doesn't surprise me. For me, moving the right analog stick 3 times makes my character turns 90 degree, and on the PS4 you can even have your character turning 90 degree by moving the analog stick only once.To take the bolt cutters, just face the cell door, turn around by moving the analog stick backward plus circle, crouch down and keep pressing x by moving to the right. The annoying thing in this game is the fact that you need your camera positioned at the same height as the objects you're interacting with, hence why you need to be crouched down to take the bolt cutters from the bench.

Update on my controls regarding the camera:I have to move the right analog stick 9 times, so he makes 3 foot steps to turn 90 de grease. I have tested that at the part where I can interact with the video player.

Thank you.Bad news: I haven't figured out the camera settings yet.Good news:I'm the kind of person who don't give up that easily. So, after an hour of wandering around, I managed to find the latter, climb it and end the video part.How important is it to look at things like objects, doors and stuff? I figured out the following which puzzles me:When you get inside the house when controlling the guy in the video, then the house become much easier to navigate if you rotate the person 90 de grease to the right and just work forward.So, that makes me wander if the camera controls are messed up, or if it's just me who still don't fully get how it works.Well, back to the game.
