This is an idea dump I was working on a few weeks ago.Here are some ideas that may or may not make things a bit more fun. Apologies if any of these were suggested already.Reduce button mashing when gathering things.I don't know about anyone else, but having to constantly press space over, and over, and over again to gather things gets really tedious and, well, repetitive. My suggestion is to have an option that would let you press space once to start gathering. To balance this, you would need both hands empty. While gathering, you couldn't walk, look at your inventory, defend yourself, etc. You could probably still talk on out of character and radio, but that would be about it. To stop, you would just hit space again. Gathering this way could only be done at a certain energy level. If you fell below that level, you'd stop and need to rest. It also wouldn't be any faster than it is now. It just wouldn't require you to try to kill your poor space bar. Note this would only work when gathering things like wood, branches, etc.No more items all over the ground on death.Right now when someone dies, their stuff just spills out all over the ground. Not only is this annoying when you want to retrieve things, it's not very realistic. If a pack is closed, it's not going to just burst open and spill everything on the ground when someone dies unless something damages it. I suggest that when someone dies, a pack object is created with all of their items inside. To get everything out, you would need to combine it with an empty hand. Once empty, the pack would disappear.Parachutes!Not sure if these could be crafted. Maybe they could come from gifts and or STW point purchases. Basically, these would let you survive a long fall. You would have to wear them, and then combine them with an empty hand to use when falling. You may or may not take some damage and break a bone, but you'd be alive! It'd also just be fun to jump down the mountain.Healing sleep.Sleeping helps you regain energy faster, but it doesn't seem to help you heal faster. This would make sense. It shouldn't be as fast as a healing drug mind you, but it should help a little. Sleeping should also help bones heal too.Food and water do what again?Food and water also don't seem to help with regaining energy or health. Being well fed and hydrated should maybe do so.Being out in the wild toughens you up.I believe health and energy boosts are temporary. While that's good for keeping people buying them, it's weird that no one seems to get stronger. All that surviving should probably make you stronger in the form of permanent health/energy boosts up to a point. That is unless I'm mistaken and boosts are permanent maximum energy/health levels.

1. Yes pressing alt t will pull off your cooked food from the spit, this was changed because it's a different action than sticking your meet on the spit. In other words: stick it on with t, pull it off with alt t. 2. though we generally don't change genders, we can always make exceptions. In such cases it is suggested to pm or admintell any admin so we can deal with the situation3. At the tripple poster, if that was intentional, than that was pritty lame and under the belt. I have a few questions now also. For some reason, when I use a spit to cook a fish, I can't get the fish off. I tried putting it in my hand and interacting it with an empty hand, but I just keep getting told that I can't find a way to use those items together. Am I missing something, or is that a bug? My other question was, when you remove the newbie flag, does that automatically put you in pk mode? Can I change that? I'm not interesting in pk, at least not yet.

It's probably how you're drinking the ater. Don't drink right from the stream or pond or whatever. You need to first use your bottle or a pot to pick up the water, and drink from that. you need to be careful.

Yeah, that virus is fun. lol. Just fill your water bottle, leave the ater, drink from that, and keep going until your thirst is at 0. For making a fire, cut down a tree with a knife or axe if you have one, put a match in your hand, draw it and hit space. To make a fishing pole, you need to carve I think two pieces of wood combine them, and a branch, and some string. the guide is on the bsg website.

There are a couple things. Make sure your account is more than 4 letters in length unless it is paid, or it will be deleted by the spam filter. In the next update we will actually put a warning about this in the create account screan so stop confusion. Also, there are other things that trigger the spam protection such as if the account was never used, is still at the default spawn location, still has a default inventory, etc. You'd be surprised how many people make loads of spam characters just to annoy everybody. So basically, make sure that your character name is at least 5 letters in length, and that you don't have a default inventory and you at least move around a little bit, or else the game will think you simply created your char and logged in once, didn't do anything, and logged off, thus it will treat it as spam. If you really wish to use a 4 letter name, you can certainly purchahse the account and if you do so it will never be marked as spam what so ever.

Yup, Hollywood Edge complete is 1 bucks through soundideas. You'll be saving a hell of a lot more money if you buy the complete package vs individual collections, but it's still quite a lot. Probably something any game dev would consider either building up a lot of commercial games for, or launching a crowdfunding campaign if they wanted a library of this caliber. This is why it's good to start off with smaller but good quality libraries, such as the nS Studios one that is very reasonably priced.

Hello! does anyone have direct links to all these sound libraries? I'd like to see what their prices are. For instance, the entire Hollywood Edge sound library costs around 12,000 to 32, USD, and it can also come in an external hard drive. For the others, such as Sony, Sound Ideas SFX, I'm not sure about, for I am not familiar with some of the more rare libraries. If you can give me more information about how they work, or any resources that would be greatly appreciated. By the way, many of STW's sounds can be found in Swamp as well.Thanks! :-)

My sounds are from many spread out libraries, a couple sounds I made, and sometimes 1 sound is made with sounds from multiple libraries. You mensioned you liked the bullet hit sound, well, when I need gore, I use hollywood edge foley sound library. Also some of the boom library stuff. yes, the sfx kit has a lot of sounds used in the game, same as SI series 6000. Also a lot of stuff comes from HW premier edition. a couple from HW super single, those are some of the most used ones.
