Re: Some question about IOS For folders.Double tap and hold your finger on the icon until it bleeps three times. It will probably say "moving." It's safe to take your finger away then. Or you can leave your finger down and drag the icon around the page. I'm not a master at this, but you need the icon to be "on" another one, and it will say something like, "On phone, on calendar" if you're moving the icon on top of another one. When you have them overlapping, and you lift your finger off, it should say something about creating a folder. You can edit the folder name. Click the home button once to exit a folder and return to the page.To move icons to another pageI hate doing this, so I'm not going to practice on my phone first. I'll never get my icons back to the right spot. Double tap on the icon and hold to move, then drag your finger quickly to the left most edge, or right most edge of the screen somewhere in the vertical middle. Apple wants it for when you purchase an app, so you don't have to enter it in each time.TO transfer music, you will need itunes and an itunes account, which is your Apple ID and password. So just download iTunes and login with the e-mail and password you gave as your Apple ID.Plug your phone into your computer. A lot of people find iTunes not very accessible. Once you sign in, you will need to go up to File and down to "Add folder to library." You can do alt F, then D. That will copy all your music into your iTunes library.Then you must sync your iTunes library to your phone. There may be an option under the File menu. It’s quite simple; the battery of your phone maybe destroyed soon and you may need to send it to a special service. My close friend bought an iPhone 4s as well, and he used to spend lots of hours using that phone. Unfortunately, iPhone 4s is not a phone that is famous for its long battery life, so he charged it twice a day or more. While he was playing a game on his computer he heard an alert on his phone: Something like this “please plug in your phone to charge the battery, your battery is at 10%. He ignored and ignored untill it drained to 2%, and then his phone shutted down. After that, he was unable to turn the phone on again, and he has sent it to a service because the phone won’t charge.I’d suggest draining your battery to 15 or sometimes 10%, and then plug it in. That’s highly recommended. At least it’s what some services say. The two finger scrub is for activating the back button to go to a previous screen within an app such as settings, if such a button is presen t. If it is, it is usually located in the top left corner right below the status bar and VoiceOver announces it as back button. The scrub gesture is there just for convenience, so that you don't have to locate the button by flicking or direct touching every time you need to use it. No matter where the focus currently is, you just perform the quick gesture and the button gets activated instantly.To perform the gesture, place any two fingers on the display next to one another (I usually use my right hand index and middle fingers for this) and move them both synchronously slightly to the left, immediately slightly to the right and then immediately slightly to the left again. The user guide states this motion resembles the written letter S. It should be a very light, fast and fluent motion, nothing too difficult about it. You make sure it's turned on in the voice over settings, then do the twist with two fingers until it announces language, then just flick up and down to choose your language. There are also rotor settings for rate and volume, though volume only controls the speech volume so it's usually best to leave that one maxed out so you don't find VO drowned out by any other sound you might have playing. Now flick to general, double tap, flick to accessibility, double tap. Flick to voiceover, double tap. flick to speech, double tap. flick write until you come to add new language. It will be on the right of a heading. double tap. Flick through the languages you want, double tapping on the language you want, once done do this; press your home button. then make a turning key jesture with two fingers, so like you're turning a dial but on the phone. then you should here language, if you flick up and down once you here language, you'll here the voice change to another language. and that's how you change languages on the fly. i hope that helps. I find standard typing very clunky and if I ever reset my phone for any reason its like pulling teeth until I can change it back. THe reason I say this is because the 4s is almost 4 years old and will most likely not receive anymore software updates after iOS 8.As for Alex, you can only get it if you have a 64 bit iOS device like the iPhone 5s and up, the iPad Air and up, or the iPad Mini 2 and up. What you just explained there is called, standard typing, where you must find a letter, and then double tap to input it in to the edit field.I think you are probably use to the typing that is found on Android phones, where you can drag your finger to the letter and then lift up.That is called, touch typing.When you are focused on an edit field, you can then start to turn the rotor until it says, typing mode, swipe down and you should see, standard typing, touch typing, and direct touch typing. Re: Some question about IOS @Hanif, congrats on getting an Iphone, there are lots of fun things you can do with one (including a good number of games). I can agree on the advice here. There is a great free tutorial from "looktell" which tells you many of the vo gestures and has some games for you to practice them. Go and check the db page which also has instructions on how to download it if you haven't used the Ap store before, actually it's just been updated so now would be a good time to try it. With respect to your specific questions, well they've been answered here very well. I will add however that unlike with some systems you don't need "e mail aps" or "message aps for checking your text message" sinse you can do that directly through the Iphone with voiceover no problem. I would also recommend you try out some games like the choiceofgames. This is partly because they are good, but mostly because playing games is a good way to learn how to use the Iphone and get used to the gestures for vo, the choiceofgames titles are particularly good for this. Actually now I think about it, I was planning on doing a podcast on one of the choiceofgames this week, I'll have a go at speeding up that process. It's a bit like a combined headings/links/whatever list except it looks for the text at any point in the item, so for example if you type log it'll still find a link that is titled account login.Apps very much depend on what you want from your phone, though for navigation Ariadne or BlindSquare both work well enough. You can also get colour and light edetector apps which come in handy if you've no useful sight like me while tap tap see lets you send a picture to be recognised by a server telling you what an item is or even what text is on it in some cases. There's also a viphone Google mailing list, but I stopped reading it a long time ago.Click the home button twice to open the app switcher, and swipe up with three fingers to close running apps.you will have to set up the tripple click function to turn on voiceover in settings, general, accessibility, and my iPhone calls it accessibility shortcut. I'm not sure what the 4s will call that option.You can touch with four fingers in a horizontal line at the top and bottom of the screen to jump to the very top and bottom of the page. I have trouble making that gesture work.Once you use the roder to find your links or headings, flick up and down with one finger to navigate by that choice.Apps I recommendLooktell Money reader It has support for lots of different currencies, but check your country is on there first.Ariadne GPS or BlindSquare are good n avigation apps, though I haven't used blindsquare. Slide down with 2 fingers to to start reading something from the very beginning and slide up with 2 fingers to start reading from where the cursor is. Slide up with 3 fingers to scroll up slide down with 3 fingers to scroll down.Yes I'm pretty sure siri comes with the 4s or at least it used too.Yes you can navigate by headings links things like that. To do this use the roder take 2 fingers and and turn them in a circle on the screen like your turning a knob. Do this until you find the setting you want like headings links something like that. To control the roder go to settings then accessibility and then go to roder there you can select or unslect the th ings you want the roder to recognize.Yes like I said before slide up or down with 2 fingers to read from the beginning of something or read from the start of the cursor.There are plenty of apps you can use all the apps on the iPhone and most apps made by apple are accessible. Some good ones to get are youtube, facebook, twitter, mudrammer, pocketmud, iBooks, kindle, garage band.Some good games are choice of games, hosted games, silversword, nebula game, frotz, papa sangre 1 and 2, the inquisitor games, blindside, blindscape, sixthsense, and plenty more.hth. I don't know whether it turns on at default though3- You can use the rotor to do that. You can do a clockwise or reverse to switch between the next and preveus rotor setting. You can change the rotor settings by going to settings>general>accessibility>voiceover>rotor4- Yes, it's possible. Juse do a two finger flick down to make it say all from the cursor. If you do a two finger flick up, it will read the page from the beginning.5- I can recommend Skype, facebook, twitter, messenger (messaging app of facebook), cam find which is a utility to read what's in front of you by using the camera and finally, whats app, viber and tango.Feel free to ask if you have more questions.
