Great! Will definitely keep my eyes open for that! It would also be
great if you could post some illustrative measurements, along with
their interpretations, on your website (besides the basic one's). In
fact, seeing before and after measurements (after room treatment,
system tweaks, etc) would be really helpful!

These sorts of tools distinguish themselves by identifying time-based
issues e.g. RT60 and waterfall. Actually these are the issues I am
addressing first (for slightly intuitive reasons) rather than frequency
response. (And as an extra I hope FR will get better anyway when the
time-based issues are addressed.)

Solving time-based problems requires room treatments mostly, I think.

I agree with Phil that you should get everything in and live with it
for a while first!

intrinsically inter-linked! :-)

I use it. It has been very useful figuring out the main problems I need
to address in terms of acoustics. For me, the next problem I must
address is a 35Hz room mode.

I don't think the results from XTZ (or to be fair other measurement
techniques I have tried) should be read as totally accurate or the
black and white of it. They can point you in the right direction.

I am in the middle of sorting out room treatments. Will let you know
more later on!

For me the XTC Room Analyzer consists of my copy (CD or vinyl) of XTC's
fantastic English Settlement album. The best tracks for audio
evaluation would be:

1) Senses Working Overtime - ability to resolve fine detail as in the
background voices singing on the chorus.

2) It's Nearly Africa - bass, both initial attack and control, via
the heavy drum beats. Also useful for rhythm and pacing.

It's actually the *XTZ* Room Analyzer, and IMHO, a wonderful tool.
However, I'm still learning how to interpret all the graphs (especially
the full range room response with RT60 calculations). It may not be as
sophisticated as some other room analyzer software, but for an
all-in-one-box solution, it's quite nice. There is now a U.S.
distributor as well...

I use one , it has a great feature for me in that it suggests parametric
filters I can implement to tighten up bass response in my room. I use a
very good parametric equaliser (z-sys Rdp-1) in my system.
IF you really want to do cheap but very effective sub 500hz room
correction and want a great dac/pre whatever , I suggest a KrK ergo. I
sort of did a mini review of it at
