All the best, Nyal Great! Will definitely keep my eyes open for that! It would also be great if you could post some illustrative measurements, along with their interpretations, on your website (besides the basic one's). These sorts of tools distinguish themselves by identifying time-based issues e.g. RT60 and waterfall. Actually these are the issues I am addressing first (for slightly intuitive reasons) rather than frequency response. (And as an extra I hope FR will get better anyway when the time-based issues are addressed.) Solving time-based problems requires room treatments mostly, I think. I agree with Phil that you should get everything in and live with it for a while first! I don't think the results from XTZ (or to be fair other measurement techniques I have tried) should be read as totally accurate or the black and white of it. They can point you in the right direction. I am in the middle of sorting out room treatments. Will let you know more later on! It's actually the *XTZ* Room Analyzer, and IMHO, a wonderful tool. However, I'm still learning how to interpret all the graphs (especially the full range room response with RT60 calculations). It may not be as sophisticated as some other room analyzer software, but for an all-in-one-box solution, it's quite nice. There is now a U.S. distributor as well... http://www.acousticfrontiers.com/XTZ-Room-Analyzer.html -- sleepysurf main system: touch benchmark dac-1 conrad-johnson ct-5 preamp and premier 350 amp ml summits. audience au24e and blue jeans cables. secondary systems: sb3 in master br (russound r235ls amp driving in-ceiling speaker) and game room (powered swan s200a speakers), with boom in home office. member of the 'suncoast audiophile society' (http://www.meetup.com/suncoast-audiophile-society/) sleepysurf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88429 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

I use one , it has a great feature for me in that it suggests parametric filters I can implement to tighten up bass response in my room. I use a very good parametric equaliser (z-sys Rdp-1) in my system. IF you really want to do cheap but very effective sub 500hz room correction and want a great dac/pre whatever , I suggest a KrK ergo.
