[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] 2 datasources, 1 grid, outerjoin

2005-05-03 Thread hwimmer
Hi
Follwowing task: make a form that displays Inventtable and the name
of the BOMCostGroup/CostgroupId, name of BOMCostgroup must be
filterable.

What did I do:
Create a form with datasources InventTable and BOMCostGroup, set
BOMCOstGroup to be Outerjoined on Inventtable.
Create a grid on the form and put the fields from the 2 tables there.

Starting the form: everything seems to be okay, the grid displays
the name of the cost group correctly.

But when I filter on the name of the costgroup, the following
happens:
All records from Inventtable are still shown but the field for
costgroup name is only shown for records that match the filter
criteria.

What do I want to see? Of course only inventtable records that have
the costgroup name as in the filter.

It seems to me that Axapta puts the (B.COSTGROUPID = 'something')
not in the right place. It puts it into the left join
criteria and not outside.

Anybody an idea???

Best regards
Helmut

After printing the report to screen select the print icon. From the "send to" list on your left select "email recipient". A frame with the title specification will then appear on the right. For the "Message format" in the frame select PDF and then select OK. The mail client will then popup and you should be able to complete the process on your own.

RE : [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Add fields in reports

2005-05-03 Thread Steeve Gilbert
It seems that it's because the dataSources are set to group by. If you set
it back to order by you can add ranges. The thing is, you just can't set it
to order by with nothing else and expect it to work like before. I don't
known why put group by would block ranges. Sort field are probably blocked,
which is a good thing, but ranges?

Steeve...

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Add fields in reports

2005-05-03 Thread Maurice Cohen

Some of the reports (especially in inventory
management) have this feature disabled in code because it would not work
properly if enabled . You might need to create a new report to get the information
that you need.

I am not sure if this is possible. I know that if you install the PDF printer you can print to a PDF file formatin 2.5. It should be possible to write code to send thePDF filevia email if you are using SP4.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Document handling

2005-05-03 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I created a new environment and have noticed a change in document handling.

It used to be when I created a note to attach to a sales order or purchase
order that the icon at the top of the screen would turn colors. In my new
environment, the icon doesn't change colors...is there a parameter to control
this?

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Changing credit hold by sales order?

2005-05-03 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have a customer who wants to be able to set customers on a hold but release
them on an order by order basis.

The credit parameters are set to warn (not error) b/c they want to be able to
add orders no matter what.
They are currently putting customers on an 'Invoice' stop. In order to release
the orders, this means they have to go into the Customer and flip the flag to
'No', pack/invoice the order, and then move the Customer back to an 'Invoice'
Stop

Is there any way to release just one order? Or does this have to be done on
the customer?

Thanks.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Subtotal text missing

2005-05-03 Thread James Flavell
I hope someone can explain how to solve this little pain...

I have a report that when subtotals are printed shows the value of the field
being subtotalled on the left. I made a copy of this report ('Duplicate')
and added a few fields and hid some others. But this new report the
subtotal line does not show the field value.why?

I am stumped and do not know where Axapta decides whether to show the
subtotalled field value (please note the subtotal value appears fine just
the field does not, e.g. if I am subtotalling by date I would like one the
left the text 'Date: 20/04/2005' appear on the subtotal line).

The report is using autodesignspec and only has a body line (i.e. no
specific/programmed subtotal line).

Thanks
James

and added a few fields and hid some others. But this
new report the
subtotal line does not show the field value.why?

I am stumped and do not know where Axapta decides
whether to show the
subtotalled field value (please note the subtotal
value appears fine just
the field does not, e.g. if I am subtotalling by date
I would like one the
left the text 'Date: 20/04/2005' appear on the
subtotal line).

The report is using autodesignspec and only has a body
line (i.e. no
specific/programmed subtotal line).

Thanks
James

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] how to enable the Print Ranges check box in report

2005-05-03 Thread Akash
Hi All,

When i remove the report template ( like InternalList
from the InventAgeDim report) from any standard report
design , the print Ranges check box disables in the
Query Select range's Print Option Tab.

How can i enable this option for my custom page header
( no report template used).

Regards
Akash

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Changing credit hold by sales order?

2005-05-03 Thread Sun Fen Chen
Hi,

This is related to Credit Limit Type (AR Parameters-Credit rating).
Select Balance. This way, you still can enter order but will
warn/reject when invoicing.

I think you have setup Balance+All, so that you can't enter any new order.

Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Changing credit hold by sales order?

I have a customer who wants to be able to set customers on a hold but
release them on an order by order basis.

The credit parameters are set to warn (not error) b/c they want to be able
to add orders no matter what. They are currently putting customers on an
'Invoice' stop. In order to release the orders, this means they have to go
into the Customer and flip the flag to 'No', pack/invoice the order, and
then move the Customer back to an 'Invoice' Stop

Is there any way to release just one order? Or does this have to be done on
 the customer?

 Thanks.

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] How do I re-open a month to enter missing Job cards in a month where the inventory is closed?

2005-05-03 Thread Sun Fen Chen
When you close your inventory for that month then you can't post any
transaction. Do the Cancellation (from the inventory periodic closing
window) of inventory closing will put the state before closing.
