[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] business connector setup
I get a strange error while trying to set up the Business Connector - it looks for a blank config and can't find it. Message in error log reads: The configuration 'unknown' could not be found. Use the Navision Axapta Configuration Utility to verify the configuration. I have a number of configs set up which all work fine for regular Axapta, and on one of these I have registered the Business Connector. It makes no difference whether I override the password or not. The result of the test (from admin/internet/parameters/business connector status tab) gives me the following result: Result of the Microsoft Axapta Business Connector test The Microsoft Axapta Business Connector was loaded without problems. Could not logon to Microsoft Axapta This may be due to wrong or unspecified user name and password for COM-logon in AxConfig, or that permissions to the COM-logon do not exist. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: business connector setup
Hi Hans, 1.) You can specify the Username in the axxonfig (First Tabpage .. field User) 2.) I assume you set up the identity in then COM+ Component ?. You need to log on once with this identity, create a configuration (that configuration is used, when the com component is started). 3.) You should check also if you can start Axapta as this identity. br karsten --- In Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com, hkruiniger [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I get a strange error while trying to set up the Business Connector - it looks for a blank config and can't find it. Brilliant - thanks Karsten! It's symptomatic of how configurations only seem to work in the context of the logged-on user. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Ax 3 Sp4 installation error
Hi all, I've installed SP4 in a SP3 standard 2 tier environment on MSSQL. When launching Ax for the first time I'm informed that an unrecoverable error has occured as a result of 2 USERID fields in table SQLSTATISTICS (id's 2 and 61441). The log isn't much help. The sp readme spoke of certain errors but indicated that deleting ax*.aoi would fix them. Has anybody run across this or a similar issue? Kindest regards, Christoph Malherbe Yahoo! [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: [development-axapta] Reservations
Hi, Do try and take the web application training if available in your neighbourhood... 'cause back in the old days, building a videowebshop was one of the things you learned. The simularity I see is that the videos can be seen as rooms, they are bought ones and then used to be rented. People could track online if something was available (on stock) or could make reservations. All kinds of combinations are possible :-) Perhaps there is still someone out there who has some demo video webshop for you to look at? You can also try and find the keyword 'service' in your own Axapta documentation. /b oscarcaravaca wrote: Hi there. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Converting CRM quotation to sales order
We did a mod to display a warning message if the user try to convert a quote to sales order for a prospect. The warning message tells the user a sales order cannot be created, please contact AR to create customer... For the user to view the customer (without the ability to create them), use the Axapta security system. --- In Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com, jaykay_nl [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I want to prevent that a user can create a customer when converting a CRM quotation to a sales order. In CRM a quotation can be made for i.e. a prospect (a non-customer). When converting this quotation to a sales order, Axapta also converts the business relation to the type customer and creates a record in the customer table. Last step is not want, as this process is separated within the organization. So converting a CRM quotation of a prospect to a sales order should not be possible as this function should not be able to create a customer record.
