  Hi Sherin,

The information is right in front of you ;-)

Check the property sheet for Dimension - here you have the label for
Department. The first array entry is always the top level of an extended data
  type.

  Best regards,

When i go to extended datatypes Dimensions i can see only Cost Centre

Is there any way to modify the Department Dimension?

2006-01-17 Thread Zhoter
That's wierd, somebody already loged on before the
service started?
Is there any user using 2 tier instead of AOS?
Basicaly if you stoped an object server, all
connection will be lost, and when you start the object
server it will start waiting users to connect.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: User logout already but still appear as online

2006-01-17 Thread Jim Dimarzio
Hello,

We have this problem as well...

Possible CAUSES:
The Axdat.udb file maintains the current number of users on the
system. This issue occurs when Microsoft Axapta users do not log out
of Microsoft Axapta at the end of their session. The following
scenarios may cause this issue:
• A user or users do not log out of Microsoft Axapta before a
Terminal Server session ends.
• A user or users do not log out at the end of the day, shut
down their computers, and then log on again the next day.
• A user or users do not log out of their current sessions
before they start a new session.
In these scenarios, Microsoft Axapta uses additional licenses for the
same user. The number of licenses that Microsoft Axapta uses will
increase, because the previous sessions remain active.

Additionally, this issue may also occur when the following conditions
are true:
• The Application Object Server (AOS) server crashes or is shut
down incorrectly.
• The AOS server is restarted and then automatically stops again.
In this scenario, the AOS server does not release the Axdat.udb file.
Therefore, the Axdat.udb file retains active users. In a three-tier
environment, user licenses are reserved by the AOS server if there are
any Microsoft Axapta clients open at the user logon screen.

When you log on, the Microsoft Axapta Logon dialog box is displayed.
AOS reserves a license for you until you complete the logon process
and your user account is shown in the Microsoft Axapta Online Users
form.
RESOLUTION:
delete the Axdat.udb file from the Microsoft Axapta application
directory, and then restart the AOS server. A new Axdat.udb file is
created automatically when the AOS server is restarted.

Hope this helps,

Jim DiMarzio

Hi Hardi,     Did you solve this problem ?. if not, you may want to try this...   1. Stop AOS 2. delete AXDAT.UDB file. 3. restart AOS. When you restart AOS, the new and correct version of AXDAT.UDB will be created.     I feel your AXDAT.UDB file is corrupted...     I think this you should solve your problem as it solved the same issue in our env. Good luck.     thanks, subbu      Setiaji <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Strange..Did you give user name and password to other user, that can login from other computer with the same user name?It is true, that

Shipping Solution
Does anyone know of, or have experience with, a shipping
solution that can be integrated with Axapta  This solution
would allow for FedEx, UPS, DHL and LTL shipment processing and
write-back to Axapta of shipping charges and tracking/PRO
numbers.

This is very simple:

 Just goto BaseEnums and lookup:
SysDimension

From there change the Enum "Labels" to whatever you
what they to say.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Physical On Hand Error

2006-01-17 Thread varsityblews
We have recently experienced a strange problem on on of our clients.
In the Inventory Module, when doing a stock transfer via a Transfer
Journal, within the same warehouse but from location A to location B,
it gives an error saying 2 cannot be picked as only 2 is available in
stock. It only gives this error if all the available stock for that
item is being transferred. We have checked minimum quantity setup on
the item and there is none, no multiple setup either. If anyone has
encountered this problem, please shed some light on this matter.

Thank you

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] SP3 & SP4 on same machine... Possible?

2006-01-17 Thread sherin francis

Hi Morten,     Thanks for the immediate response.   But do you install the all these Axapta apps on ur machine, or install it elsewhere and copy the relevant  folders onto your machien? Coz when i try to install another app (where  3.0 sp3 already is present),it gives me options to repair or modify or remove.Morten Aasheim <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:Ofcourse, you can have all the apps on the same machine. 2.5, 3.0, all SP’s. Including clients.      I have an own Axapta folder where I keep all the different installations and shortcuts to start the different ones.   Regards, Morten AasheimPeritus AS From: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of sherin francisSent: 17. januar 2006 13:20To: axapta axaptaSubject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] SP3 & SP4 on same machine... [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] User logout already but still appear as online

2006-01-17 Thread Hardi
Hi everyone
I use Axapta 3.0 with AOS, my user logout already but still appear as
online on the Administration/online users and he is still counted as
one of the user consuming number of concurrent users (meaning: the
system then will not let another user to login since total concurrent
users already exceeds the maximum)

What is the problem?

Thanks & regards

Hardi T
