Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Reservation of Items for a Production Order.
Hi Markus, Thanks for the Reply. However will u please clarify what do you mean by 'Reduce the Qt y of Production Order befor reservation'.? Do you mean the splitting up of Production Order in to different quantities? Thanks and Regards. Vijay markusotte2 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi Vijay. There is no way in standard, but you may: - reduce the reservation manual afterwards - reduce the qty of the production order before reservation - change the code Cheers! However, while changing the status of Production Order to Started, the Qty to start is 5. In other words the Production Order is started for only 5 Nos. Though the Production Order is started for 5,the system reserves the components for the entire 10 Quantity. This is making many of the Items = not available for Other PRoduction Order since they are reserved. My question is how to resreve the components only for the Started Quantity.? Will anydody answer Please? Thanks in advance. Vijay. - Find out what India is talking about on - Yahoo! Answers India Send FREE SMS to your friend's mobile from Yahoo! Messenger Version 8. RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Difference between Sales Order and Sales Journal
Adding to the same : Sales journal: This is used as Draft of the Order and will not be used for further processing unless the same is changed to amother Type , say for example, Sales Order or Blanket Order. Moreover as this only a draft no inventory record is created and thus also not includeed in the MRP. Sales Order: Once created can be taken further for all the Order Processing Flows.. like Confirmation of Order, Pick, packing,e tc. At the same time this effect the invemntory and MRP calculation. Regards Andy James Flavell [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Sales journal does not make any inventtrans records. It's the same as if you made the sales order type 'journal' Good for things like import sales orders since you don't have to worry about triggering inventtrans etc. Then you can just convert to sales order and it will take care of all of that. -Original Message- From: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Faiqa Khushi Sent: 06 December 2006 19:54 To: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Difference between Sales Order and Sales Journal Importance: High What's the difference between Sales Order and Sales Journal? [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] AX in nondiscrete item
Dear All, I can't find out whether standard AX can be implemented in 24 hours a day factory, using formulation BOM in its product (in %), separated in its process and finishing, there is no WIP among its machines except beginning raw material and finished good. In its products (one polibag can be weight at 100 gr and may contains several different items). My other questions: 1. How to generate the production plan and can it use routing in AX ? 2. How to create the item and its BOM ? do I have to separate the BOM for process and finishing ? have you ever implemented AX in the process industries without customized and using vertical solution ? my assumption is the company don't use routing and just use lead time field in the item master, the BOM level made 2 (process and finishing) but my other misunderstanding is about % tage in its BOM quantity. I appreciate your help so much. TIA Rgds, __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: dll in Axapta
Hi Steve, You could create a dll by using Axapta to create a file containing .NET source code and then invokeing the .NET compiler and registering the newly created DLL. In AX 4.0, when you create an AIF web service Axpata does exactly what I have described. However, since you did not describe your requirements, I can't comment on whether this is the best way to proceed. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Web deployment installing service pack failed
Hi All, I setup a web deployment. I open web browser in a client and successfully install activeX and the client setup. However, it failed when try installing service pack. My Configuration is : Computer name : AOS Web deployment root directory C:\AxWebDeploy with virtual directory named AxWebDeploy ServerSetup = \\AOS\AxWebDeploy\ClientSetup ServerServicePack = \\AOS\AxWebDeploy\ClientServicePack\setup.exe It seems that files in the ClientSetup directory is copied to local client TMP directory when installing Axapta client, but when it comes to run Service Pack, only setup.exe is copied into local client directory (to the temporary internet files directory-NOT TMP directory). The problem seems that setup.exe can not find the file Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta Client 3.0 SP5.msi in the temporary internet files folder (because it is not copied when clicking the active x). I have set the directory properties in the IIS to allow directory browsing but still doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Agus [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Print Management
mmm think should clarify that. They are the same in their purpose but they are different in that one applies to the PO you are on and the other is the general setting for AP. You will find when you create anew vendor they have print management setting which by default is set to be the same as the AP general. You can then change for the vendor as well as later on the PO change specific to the PO. Have not checked actual system...more from memory so excuse me if I got something incorret Thanks James -Original Message- From: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of somnath jana Sent: 08 December 2006 14:00 To: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Print Management Hi !! RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Data visibiltiy
What is your admin user login? The standard admin? If so I suggest you make another admin login for testing out (e.g. admin2) and assign to all your available usergroups. Can such a user sees the ledger trans? If such a user as above can see the trans are your other users in the same usergroups as this user? I would expect not. Then you have to looka t the groups they are not in and find which of these groups gives rights to ledtrans table view. If you just want to get the users to be able to see the led trans then just go into one of the usergroups that the user belongs to and in permsission go and set ledtrans as view -Original Message- From: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of jay_naik_99 Sent: 08 December 2006 13:23 To: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Data visibiltiy Hi Can anyone help me answering this query.
