[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Posting profiles-"inventory Profit"

I am having trouble understanding what the posting type "Inventory 
Profit" and "Inventory Loss" refer to in the inventory tab of the 
posting setup.  I am not sure what the intent is, can someone 
enlighten me on this?  My Guru's said that this was for inventory 
adjustments like loss of inventory(theft) or profit(found extra)...Is 
this the case?

You can use the System Class DictTable to get an Handle for the table 
to which u want a TableBuffer

as write the following code

DictTable Dt;
DictField Df;

Df = new Dictfield(dt.id,dt.fieldcnt2id(1));
//with df we get he handle to the first field of Custtable

df.value(); //we get the value of the first field

Hi VG,

One more update, 

if you want to display the quotationid in your drop down then create a
extended type relation for the field quotationid then you will find it
the value in the drop down query. 

But remember it would be a problem if some other table also shares the
quotationid say salesq and purch quotations. In that case create it
specifically on salesquotationid and purchquotationid.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Question about intercompany returns and line discounts

Okay, I've got one company selling goods to another company through an 
intercompany purchase and sales order.  The buying company has a line 
discount on the item.  If they buy it but then return it, the item goes 
back to the selling company at the sales company's sales price (without 
the discount).  Am I missing a configuration?

adding such a huge number of lines to the infolog would be a
performance issue very first, so why don't you try other alternatives
like you can use a temptable store or a Textbuffer(use TextIO) to
store and then later display using a form which would be much better.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] EP vs standard AX

Hello. I am interested to find out the limitation in EP comparing to 
standard AX particularly in Account Receivables module. For example, 
updates of sales quotation, posting of sales order is not possible in 
EP but AX.

Is there any written guide on this?

never watsed my money in india.

a give period of time, with some other information and group by the  
inventTrans.VoucherPhysical, for this i'm use a class that extends 
the InventReport_DimParm, in this class i'm not used the dialog 
method insted i'll use the standar dialog maked, but i need to now 
the item and dates to filter the Inventrans and populate the 
Temporary Table.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Urgent Help, class I created lost after reopening axapta

I use axapta 3.0 sp5 with full updates and kernel rollups. Yesterday I 
created a new class, axapta named it Class2 by default and I changed it 
in class declaration, added many methods on it, and succesfully saved 
and compiled it, after I reopened axapta I saw the class name on 
project window but when I clicked on it, it became "Class2" again when 
open it, saw all the code and methods lost! How can I bring it back?

Basically CST Number and LST Number are unique for each Vendor and when they 
are transacting any business with any other, these numbers are mentioned in the 
Commercial Transactions as mandatory requriement in India.Hence in Ax this CST 
and LST numbers are obtained in the Vendor Master setup. This will enable the 
user to make Default values for LST and CST  numbers when they are creating the 
Purchase order for the particuar Vendor. this will not be editable in Purchase 
order because this values from the vendor master table.

I am having a query regarding Vendors Form in India Localization
(Accounts Payable > Vendors).
When I m opening Vendors Form, in India Localization, the fields CST 
Number and LST Number are not editable while in Customers Form both the 
fields are editable.

Can anyone please tell me what may be the reason behind this and what 
should be done to make it editable? Also I have checked technically in 
both tables, datasources, forms, methods etc. Both are same.

Please help me as early as possible.
