[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Synchronize database error

2009-02-12 Thread cs_suchitra
Hi,

I got this below mentioned error when i tried to change the string
size of the EDT AccountNum from 20 to 150. Can anyone please tell me
what would be the impact of such a change and what will happen if all
the tables using this EDT have more than 1 lakh records?

error:
The total, internal size of the records in your joined SELECT
statement is 37264 bytes, but Microsoft Dynamics is by default
performance-tuned not to exceed 24576 bytes.
It is strongly recommended that you split your table(s) into smaller
units.
Alternatively, you have to specify a 'Buffer size' value of 37 Kbytes
or higher in the 'SQL' tab page in the Microsoft Dynamics
Configuration Utility. The default value is 24 Kbytes.
Exit Microsoft Dynamics immediately, and follow the directives above.
Use of the table(s) will cause unpredictable results.

Hi eng_elcoach!

Thanks for reply,

Just now i tried it.

In Serial number group form under General Tab if i use any one option
like
Date, Reference No. it is function well.

If i use all the three option like Date , Reference number Number

canceled).

While iam using single option called - Date option, transaction

Could you guide me how bring in to function with all the option
(date, ref

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] AIF - Importing multiple records

2009-02-12 Thread Anitha E
Hi..

Consider the following scenario for AIF - importing multiple records in a
single XML.

Say if we are importing an XML which has 5 records in it..and assume the
second record has invalid data.
In this case axapta aborts the whole import process..

It should import rest of the four records and skip the second record without
terminating the import process.
Do you have any idea how to deal with the problem..??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Inventory opening balances

2009-02-12 Thread M Anass
Hi Abd Allah,

First it depends on what AX version you use, because AX version differences
will have only impacts on inventory dimensions, because AX 4.0 has only 8 Dim,
and AX 2009 has 9 (site: is new dimension).
Tables are involved in this operations are:
InventJournalName,InventJournalTable,InventJournalTrans,InventDim.
You will also deal with some classes are existed to help you in your importing
operations from Excel file. such as: sysExcelApplication, sysExcelWorkbooks,
sysExcelWorkbook,  SysExcelWorksheets, sysExcelWorksheet,  sysExcelCells,
COMVariant.

ofcourse you will as the tech guy to do this whole importing operation in x++.

Hi Abdullah,

Right click on Journal line and see which is the table associated
with this journal line form. You can ask your techi guy to let you
know the table name Most Probably it is InventJournalTrans.

Export this table in Excel Template with all fields. All special
value fields will also come up. I think all inventory journal (lines)
use this same table. There is a field in this table which keeps
information whether it is movement journal, or Profit Loss,
or Transfer etc.

In exported excel template this filed will have drop down. In you
case you need to select Movement for all your records.

There is no need to import in any other table.
Hope this helps you. If you need more help on this topic please add
me in yahoo messenger and I will let you help you out online on this
topic.

 Hi Abdullah,

Use std Axapta excel import functionality. First export the excel
template for movement journal table. Fill it up and then import it
to
 AX.

BTW which version of AX you are using?
