He went to Flores between 1508-1510 in the colonization organized by Pedro da Fonseca. In the same company went his brother Pedro de Fraga, married to Margarida Rodrigues and her brothers Miguel and Álvaro Rodrigues. Francisco de Fraga lived in Flores and was married to Lucrécia Privado. José de Fraga and his wife Isabel de Freitas lived in Fajã Grande, Flores, circa 1750. Who was it that said there Madruga went to San Diego? I have a distent cousin listed fromt there. Other then that my Madruga line is speratic as they did not carry the sir names generation to generation for all the children. Most of mine are from around the mid 1700 to the 1900's. Any relation to Manuel F. Madruga, b. Feb 15, 1910 who died in Modesto, CA in 1991? He married Mary Affonso Dias b. Sept 3, 1920 in NIcasio, CA ( That is my Affonso line from Riberia Seca,Sao Jorge) His daughter Eleanor Madruga, b Nov 20, 1945, died in California also in 1999... We have not found the exact connection because I have not completed that part of my genealogy yet. We have the same relative name but I have not yet confirmed it is the same as her relative.
