Can anyone direct me to some good sites on dowsing? Also,
another list, the topic came up of the art of dowsing for foal and calf
sex on the cow or mare. Is this widely done, and can anyone
explain how? I did a pendulum dowsing about 2 months before my
first foal was due. I had 2 mares I wasn't even sure were pregnant
yet the string 'told' me they'd have filly foals. The first one would
have a stud colt. They all came out the sex as predicted. But, I
hesitate to talk much about this to the horse group until I can
present it in a fairly intelligent way.
In other words, it works, but I don't know why!

Midwives and wise women were telling the sex of unborn human babies with
pendulums for centuries before electronic scanners came into existence.
Nor need the pendulum be sophisticated - folklore tells us that the
pendulum usually consisted of a wedding ring on a hair of the person's
head. At one time it was common knowledge that a pendulum held over the
head of a female would spin anti-clockwise whilst over the head of a
male it would spin clockwise. Unfortunately most of the world has lost
that knowledge, blinded by the apparent (but mythical) omniscience of
scientific methods.

Type 'dowsing' into any search engine and it will come up with dozens of
sites you can surf at will. However, the easiest way to learn about
dowsing is to just do it. All you need is two lengths of fencing wire,
bend one end of each at right angles about four inches from the end to
form a handle. Hold the handles in your hands as though they were
sixguns, but loosely so they can pivot freely. Go for a walk across a
paddock or your garden with them held horizontal with the ground
pointing ahead of you. Then come back and tell us what happened and what
you learned from it.

roger what a wonderful answer. I would only add dennis klocek's book seeking spirit vision. there are many different explorations of such things by someone obviously doing spiritual research.

Hi! Roger,
My father's family was descended from Irish Catholic stock and at a wedding
they could not wait to get the ring off the brides finger to spin it first
over her and then over to groom to see who many children of which sex, each
would parent. By this they determined how many would be conceived between
the sheets (of the matrimonial bed) and how many out side the sheets as
well as the total tally.

Hi Steve, Woody et al,
I could easily be 50 projects behind based on the extraordinary advice I
get. If I listen, my life improves even if it'sonly one suggestion at a
time.

Intuition comes in many forms: knowing, hearing, seeing, feeling, dreaming
etc.

Woody, I experience this the same way. The spirits are constantly giving me
messages/intuitions and it is an iindividual choice as to whether I choose
to
carry on or carry out the task. Sometimes they get a little carried away, I
am probably fifty projects in arrears, but trying to keep up. I too dowse
but like to save it for things that I can either never know any other way or

Hi Glen,

When you say stand on the 4 cardinal points should
I stay facing the direction of the cardinal points ?

 Have you done this yet?

 The 'Octagon Experience'
Stand on the 4 cardinal points of the cross and then stand on the in
between points and tell me what you experience.

Turning out away from the centre of your cross in probably best. Do not
 focus on the centre.

Generally all one needs do is stand on one point for a minute or two,
then stand on one point 90 deg. away and then stand on the centre point
 between them.

I just realised, do you mean a cross as in two sticks crossing or an eight
pointed cross?

 Dear Ones:

I'd like to see some discussion about others' experience of intuition.

Hi Woody,

In general my intuition comes in three ways. One is by the grace of God. My
descisions to move to Kentucky, becoming involved in farming and all of the
life choices that I have made over the years were not made out of too much
conciousness, but in retrospect so many times they were just the right
desisions.

Quiet time in meditation is usually followed by a period of writing where I
can ask any question, and then scribble down about three pages of an answer
as fast as I can write.

Last is the after the fact. Many times something happens, and then I realize
I had a flash of it before, how do I learn to recognize these at the time
they happen? Haven't figured that out yet.

I find nature to be my biggest source of inspiration, which is why I love
Rudolf Steiner so much! Most of his meditations involve nature observation
in one form or another.

Sincerely, Christy
One of the Dear Ones
