Re: [Ontbirds] Kingston area - Red-headed Woodp and Am Wigeon
Hi, All, Sorry for slow alert, but... 1. Invista Lagoon, Sat 8:45 am: I found a pair of Am. Wigeons at the lagoon, plus the coots, redheads, scaup, mallards, red-br and common mergs, mute swans, herring gulls, one ring-billed gull, common goldeneyes, and gadwall. I failed to find red-necked grebe and ring-necks; 2. Gananoque Golf Course, Sat 10:30 am: The red-headed woodpecker was there, but I did not find the red-bellies reported earlier. [Ontbirds] No Fish Crow, Halton Hills, Feb 24
Ontbirders, A group of us have just checked for some previously reported Fish Crows at thr quarry on 6th line in Halton Hills. We had no Fish Crows but we did see a mind boggling 3 American Crows which may be a new county record. Directions to this roost. Take appleby road north from the 403 until it dips under the 401 and hits campbelville rd. Go right and east on campbelville and then left on 6th line. Quarry is on your right. Small parking lot on your left. Look for crows. Len Manning and crew ___ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
