It's not really any kind of a major difference between the procedures. I
wish I could find an accessible program for creating un-attended installs of
windows 7 like I did for XP. The fact is without that you do require some

Anything over Jaws 11 should work just fine. For me, switching from one

There are many people on our list here who can give you help or hints.

I can't emphasize enough though, if you are going to make the switch, do it

It won't be long before Windows 8 comes out as a complete marketable version

Good luck, Randy.

Re: [Blind-Computing] having trouble playing my .ogg files

2012-11-17 Thread JM Casey
Oh, it was a different problem I think, winamp was crashying from what I
remember and I had to install it from scratch. Sometimes it seems to break
and that's the only thing that'll fix it. Seems like a different issue for
you though. In the past when files inexplicably didn't play and I thought I
had all the right codecs, sometimes the extension was wrong, like I said.
Winamp seems to use file extensions largely to determine the type of file
being selected. One site I downlaod stuff from labels files with .m4b
extension, which winamp doesn't recognise, but they're actually .m4a files,
so changing the name made me able to play them. Other than that, the
wrong/not uptodate codecs, the only thing I can think of is a rites
issue...I know some mp4 files especially are protected so that you have to
unlock them, but I never heard of ogg files being like this...

Hi Pete.

1. No, it isn't necessary to re-format a hard drive when switching from XP
to Windows 7. Both of these programs are simply operating systems. They
help you access and manage other programs and files. There are times when
an incompatibility might arise if your switching from a 32 bit to a 64 bit
system but other than that, no formatting of other files is necessary.

2. Once you purchase the Windows 7 disk, you can load the same program on
several machines. I believe that the maximum on some Microsoft products is
three copies but I don't know if that applies to Windows 7.

shift/tab twice back to "close" and that should be it.
