No I do not think that is what is happening here. because it did it this morning again. when I first turned my computer on it goes into the windows and after a few minutes it shuts down and does not start up but the tower is still on. it is as if it goes into stand bye and I have to unplug the tower and start it up again. does anyone know how to get a computer out of stand bye if that is what it is doing? Hi Mike and all the rest, I am using an earlier version of jaws like 4.5 I know that some features of internet explorer eight do not work with it but what I am using it for it works just fine. yes once I get out of all that sending error report internet explorer eight works just fine. Hi Lauren and Mike, It seems to be wanting to send an error report every time I open internet explorer eight for some reason It use to put up a not responding dialogue first and then it would give me the dialogue to send an error report and then the next time I opened internet explorer it would give me the option to go to my home page or return to the page I was on. but now it just puts up the dialogue to send an error report. I always choose send error report but it did not send me back the dialogue that says thank you for reporting this error and the link so I could enter to go to the web page to see how I could fix it. but here is what I found on the dialogue under technical information.I do not think this is what you need there is also a code number but I can not seem to select the text with the error code. I down loaded the one on the jaws users web site but when I updated it this morning now when I try to access it, it is telling me that the version data base does not support the program version and tells me to down load the latest version but when I go to the web site and enter on down load now it takes me to the CNET website and when I go to enter on the down load link it says thank you but it does not down load any thing. so this is why I want someone to send me a direct down load link? I do not know what you are missing but when I go to the start menue on my windows xp I just errow down to the settings and open the sub menue and control pannel is listed there.
