If your ANI is +212555, and you wanted to keep 7 digits ANI, then it
would be something like this:

rule 1 /^\+212\(555\)/ /\1/

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Strip + from calling number (SRST)

2010-06-25 Thread Mark
I'm trying to strip + from the calling number while a router is in SRST mode
and phones dial outbound to the PSTN. I can't find a translation rule that
does this. Does such a rule exist? Otherwise, how would you strip + from the
e.164 format in SRST?

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Transcoder/Conf MRG

2010-06-25 Thread Jeff Price (jeffpric)
I would say better to put them in MRGs and then MRGLs. Although both
would work, its better have control over who can access them.

For example - HQ_R1_CONF_MRG, BR1_R2_XCODE_MRG

Then create separate MRGLs with the same MRGs in them:

HQ_MRGL - HQ_R1_CONF_MRG, BR1_R2_XCODE_MRG

BR1_MRGL - HQ_R1_CONF_MRG, BR1_R2_XCODE_MRG

However, for the exam purposes, it may just be easier to leave out for
time J

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol2 Lab1 6.1 - Weird MOH from flash

2010-06-25 Thread kobel
I see no other reason for MoH not working for specific PSTN lines.
Make sure you understand your call routing correctly - e.g. debug isdn q931
to confirm that the calls go through the right gateway. Calls may be routed
via different gateway that you think.

Else:
 * Have you tried the service parameter I mentioned (on both MOH servers)?
 * Make sure your H.323 gateway is configured with voice class codec
allowing g711

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol2 Lab1 6.1 - Weird MOH from flash

2010-06-25 Thread kobel
sorry, I lied to you - MOH server is selected from the MOH-listener's MRGL
(GW is your case). The MOH initiatior only decides about the source to be
used. I guess it's time to bed ;)

anyway, it looks like a multicast moh codec problem. you can also choose to
enable g729 for the IP media streaming service. you would get this
behaviour, when g729 multicast moh stream is needed and IP media streaming
service can't generate it.

It looks like one of your gateway can receive correct multicast moh stream
and the other not.
I'd have a look at region settings between the MOH server (which is selected
from MOH-initiating IP phone MRGL) and the gateways. For multicast you'd
normally always want ulaw to be choosed (multicast MOH server should have
g711-to-all region).

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol2 Lab1 6.1 - Weird MOH from flash

2010-06-25 Thread Tam Nhu
Not sure if someone has already run into this weird issue with MoH from
flash.

I've configured the Multicast MoH for both HQ H323 and BR1 MGCP gateways and
they are working fine. Only that I am running into a weird issue when
making outbound calls from any HQ phones to *PSTN phone line #2
(212-394-2123)*, and press Hold on HQ phone, it gives me a 'beep' moh.
 *However,
all calls to any other PSTN lines (911, 8632683, etc) are working fine*.
Moreover, I tested from BR1 phones to this PSTN line #2 and moh working fine
as well. So I don't think any issues with the PSTN phone or Multicast MoH
configurations. But don't know why I got 'beep' on hold just for that line
from HQ phone...just weird.

I reboot the router, restarted the IP VMS App service, reset all
devices..still come up with the same problem..

I first don't think it is a big deal..who care. However, I sit back and
though "what happen in my real lab and if the proctor test your MoH, and he
accidentally hit that weird line or problem"...I would have a big ZERO point
for that, don't I?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] RE : Multicast Moh from Flash of BR1

2010-06-25 Thread Jason Aarons (US)
Credit go to Jane Ryer for the inital version/info, here is expanded info;

Customer didn't want music on hold to cross the WAN for a remote spoke site.
They wanted music to multicast from the router flash card out a local PRI for
the site and for it to work under CME-as-SRST.

1. ip multicast routing and ip pim dense-mode in router (does it need to go on
int serial0/0/0:23 where the PRI is? It does need to go on the interface that
has the 7900 phones)
2. ccm-manager music-on-hold | moh music-on-hold.au | multicast moh
239.1.1.3 port 16384 configured in router (you can use any private
multicast address but has to match CallManager)(adding the interface fixed my
MoH not working)
3. Enable Multicast Audio Sources on this CallManager MOH Server
4. CallManager MoH Server Base Multicast IP Address = 239.1.1.3
5. CallManager MoH Server Base Multicast Port Number = 16384
6. CallManager MoH Server Increment Multicast on = IP Address
7. CallManager MoH ServerMax Hops = 5 (or less if you want to keep it off WAN)
8. MOH Audio Source: SampleAudioSource (1) = Allow Multicasting
9. In Media Resource Group = Use Multicast for MOH Audio (requires at
least one multicast MOH resource)
10. Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App = 711 mulaw and 729 Annex A
selected.
11. Media Resource Group List configured in Device Pool level with
appropriate MRG.
12.MOHMulticastResourceActive counter got incremented when put the call
On-Hold.
13. Verify you put the music-on-hold.au on the flash:

Smaple Running-config from IOS 15.0(1)XA3
ccm-manager music-on-hold
ccm-manager config server 10.10.55.133 (CallManager IP)
ccm-manager config
ccm-manager sccp local FastEthernet0/0

telephony-service
moh music-on-hold.au
multicast moh 239.1.1.11 port 16384 route 10.225.106.2

show ccm-manager music-on-hold
show ip mroute
show ip multicast interface
show ephone moh (only in SRST mode)

Hi Ashar,

I think you are right the problem on the UCM side, I will try to restart the
Media voice app and back to you.
The output of show ccm-manager music-on-hold

BR1-RTR#show ccm-manager music-on-hold
Current active multicast sessions : 0
So ucm didn't provide any multicast to the router.

First of all, why are you playing? You should be labbing properly as voice

Joke aside... ;)

What is your "'show ccm-manager music-on-hold" ?

If no MoH streams are shown by this command then CCM has failed to provide the
gateway with MoH

Also keep in mind Tone on hold means there is a CM misconfiguration. Silence
means the RTP is not getting to the router.

Your case is CCM configuration issue. Check configuration again properly.

Check at Pub CCM > the MOH server - region/Device pool selected properly, reset
it and then login to subscriber..go to the same place and reset it from there
as well.

Also restart Media Voice app.

The output you posted means that you have proper telephony-service

You can now continue playing..

Amy and Jeff helped me with this the other day. Here is what I was missing
(from Jeff's reply)

max-ephones 1
max-dn 1
ip source

Also, under global config add the following command:
ccm-manager music-on-hold bind source

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Multicast Moh from Flash of BR1

2010-06-25 Thread naoufal kerboute
Hi,

I'm playing with multicast moh over the flash of router, the configuration
looks good and I can see in the debug the moh traffic, but on the PSTN phone I
heard only bips.

below the output of debug ephone moh:
Jun 25 18:03:04.729: MoH route If Vlan240 ETHERNET 10.10.201.1 via ARP
Jun 25 18:03:04.729: MoH route If Loopback0 46 10.10.110.2 via 10.10.110.2
Jun 25 18:03:09.173: ifs_read flash:music-on-hold.au end of file at 492545 read
3976 = 496521
Jun 25 18:03:09.177: moh tail fill from 24 at 0x4A0E9FF8 length 4024
Jun 25 18:03:10.017: MoH route If Vlan240 ETHERNET 10.10.201.1 via ARP
Jun 25 18:03:10.017: MoH route If Loopback0 46 10.10.110.2 via 10.10.110.2

I've created a region who use g711 with other regions, activated the multicast
on the source file and the moh server.

few checks :

- Codec under voicemail Voip dialpeer should be g711ulaw
- add incoming-called number at CUE Voip dialpeer (your MWI range)
- Remove voice class codec 1 - if you are using it under a default
incoming voip dialpeer
- Make sure you edit MWI application at CUE with your MWI ON and MWI OFF

When I VPN from home to Proctorlabs voice racks, I can't connect IP Blue or

proctorlabs, because if I connect to the Contact Center Express 7 server for
proctorlabs I can set their IP Blue phone up (PSTN and Call Manager). I have
tried MS Loopback adapter on my laptop as well as the VPN adapter to register
the IP Blue phone. I have tried different versions of IP blue. I have
disabled my firewall. I am starting to think I am nuts. Could it be my
Internet Service Provider? I can enter the primary TFTP on the IP Blue, but it
will not let me add the Priamry or Secondary CAllManager IP (box is greyed

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] RE : Mobile voice access a sking userid rather then pin

2010-06-25 Thread kapil atrish
There is a CCM Service parameter to check calling no for MVA. You may set it to
partial match to avoid issues with not having exact digit by digit match. See
if it helps.

check the caller id coming from pstn to UCM and youe remote destination number.
May be you need to apply any transformation in the calling number to match the
remote destination number

Objet : [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Mobile voice access asking userid rather then pin

Hi,

It seems that I have an issue getting the MVA oerational.

Actually I use a H323 gatway connected to the CUCM, so when I call from my
remote destination I have the prompt saying " Please enter your userid ..."
rather than getting the pin prompt.

I did a trace on the CUCM then it seems that my remote destination is properly
recognized :

I saw this once in a while in the CUCM 6, I suspected that it was b/c Tomcat
lost connection with CUCM. Opening a new IE/Firefox window and re-login,
then it would work out OK for me.

Please try that and see if it works out for you.

It would not be a bad idea to clean up temp files of your browser like

and then sits in "Loading please wait" state for indefinite time.

Searched everywhere but couldn't find any solution for it.

Rebooted the box but no joy. All services are running. Restarted the Tomcat
service as well.

It's just one call manager in the cluster.

Any clue?

You will need to correct PS as well. For example, if you have a 2811 you would
need the PWR-2811-IP= + the POE daughter card.
