That’s not entirely true, it is possible - I had a machine at my old
office runnings several versions of IE..

I will root around my tech articles to see how it was done.

Only included on the DWMX CD, I hear. They sure are keeping it tightly

Re: generate multiple PDFs automatically

2002-05-29 Thread Eric Dawson

I'll do some digging tomorrow - talk to my printing industry friend.

He has some pretty cool acrobat addins that merge and split, and n-up print
documents. I see if has any hints. In the interim you may want to check out
acrobuddies.com or PlanetPDF.com or sites like them

more to follow.

Thanks for the advice.. I checked CFCOMET but I cannot still find an
answer to the biggest problem - the number of files that will be generated.

I can dynamically populate every single PDF through FDF - no problem.
However, with 7,000 or so records it becomes impossible to manually loop
over every single record, display the PDF and have the user PRINT it. I
need a way to automate the PDF generation *AND* the printing.

Any ideas? Anybody?

Thanks,

Dimo

Re: Memory problems

The point I was making was not in defense of Access. I know Owen and what
he's doing. My point was that I don't think his files are nearly as big as
Michaels archives, so I don't think file size is the problem. The drivers
may be. The install may be hosed as well. I agree - I'd get out of Access
ASAP too, but until he can, there are other things he can try.

RE: Treating queries as arrays (was Help with using query with [] notation)

2002-05-29 Thread Matthew Walker

Just been playing around with this idea and here's what I've found so
far...

#ArrayLen(MyQuery["MyField"])# is like recordcount

#ArrayMax(MyQuery["MyField"])#gives the largest value in a numeric
column

#ArraySum(MyQuery["MyField"])# gives the sum of a numeric column

#ArrayToList(MyQuery["MyField"])# seems to be identical to
#ValueList(MyQuery.MyField)#

Curious!

Yes this works in IE as well. It is a good idea to add that to a form feild
that contains a credit card number because someone can then search the
registry and find your credit card number.

In NS6+ use autocomplete="off" in the form or input field, it may work
in IE as well. It isn't a caching issue though, the password
autocomplete is a feature of the browser...

Yes, you certainly can. However, if you omit the array position, you'll get
an error - at least, that's been my experience. That is, if you do this:

#qFoo["fieldname"]#

you'll get an error. Also, I don't think that the first syntax example will
work prior to CF 4.5.x. You have to watch out on the margins of CF syntax;
things that are poorly documented (or not documented at all) may work well
in one version, but not another.

The only mention of it of which I'm aware is in the "Advanced ColdFusion
Development" course offered by MM, but I suspect it's in the docs somewhere.
However, there really isn't that much else to say about it, beyond the three
lines near the top of the message. You can reference a column's value for a
specific row using array notation.

Of course, how you use this is up to you. For example, if you wanted to
refer to the last row of a recordset, you could do it like this:

MyQuery.FieldName[MyQuery.RecordCount]

Or, you could use this feature to loop over the recordset in a CFSCRIPT
block, since there's nothing analogous to the QUERY attribute of CFOUTPUT
within CFSCRIPT:

for (i = 1; i lte MyQuery.RecordCount; i = i + 1) {
WriteOutput(MyQuery.FieldName[i] & "");
}

if FieldName is a numeric column. Cool huh?

Re: how long should this take(Opinions)

2002-05-29 Thread Jason Miller

no 14 isn't bad - just another thought too as to what Ronald mentioned..

I did this way on a few pages - but currently have all my pages done now by a
cfinclude -
I design the header and footer - the header has an incomplete table ending in a
and footer picks up that in
complete by starting wtih a - you simply include those files on includes and it
cuts the time off from messing
with sending the url variables, looks neater int eh URL location and some search
engines may like it better since
they sometimes don't like or ignore anything past the ?

Also-
I personally would user Fireworks - I happen to like their splicing and code much
better than Image Ready's

So with your

Content from Image Ready or Firewords or Hand spliced all wrapped in one table.

NOTE - USE CSS - you can tweak the site from 1 file if you set the standard.. just
include that in your header.cfm

I wouldn't be surprised if you cut this down to 8 to 10 as that is what it takes me to
do something like this.

Good luck

For the record, you can't do that, but you can do this:

MyQuery.FieldName[i]

to reference the column value at row i.

Or, you could use this feature to loop over the recordset in a CFSCRIPT
block, since there's nothing analogous to the QUERY attribute of CFOUTPUT
within CFSCRIPT:

for (i = 1; i lte MyQuery.RecordCount; i = i + 1) {
WriteOutput(MyQuery.FieldName[i] & "");
}

RE: how long should this take(Opinions)

2002-05-29 Thread Ronald West

I actually did this a few times and I think 14 hours start to finish is not
bad. A few things that I took advantage of:

In Adobe I used the Image Ready tool to draw guides around my images and
then create HTML with the sliced guide sections. (Saves a lot of time
converting layout design to html).

Usually you have two main sections of a website (especially simple sites)
the navigation and content areas. I would create a template with the HTML
generated by IR. Then just send a query string along with each of the
sections of the website for instance if you had three sections (home,
content1, content 2) I would code the links all to go to index.cfm?stage=#x#
(the template from IR). Each different stage would just include the content
inside the template where needed.

I hope that makes sense. It just gives you a way to control content
separate from layout. That way if the client wanted to change either, you
didn't chase the changes around.

Just something to think of.

Well, in that case, you didn't create a database at all - you just created
tables in the default database. Usually, the default database is "master".
This is not a good place to create user tables.

What you'll need to do is create a new database. You can do this while
connected to the master database. Then, you'll need to create the tables in
the new database, and copy the data from the tables in master to the tables
in your new database, and finally, you'll want to drop the tables you
created in master and never touch it again. I'd recommend getting a copy of
the SQL Server Books Online (available at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com/
support/SQL/default.asp - scroll down to the appropriate version) and using
the OSQL command-line client to run your SQL batches.

When you create ODBC datasources for your SQL databases, you'll need to
specify the database name on the step of the wizard after you select the
server.

I know you said "don't say VMware", but your only options are:

1. VMware or similar virtual machine software
2. boot between multiple OSs (have fun with that)
3. find a cheap (free?) machine for a test platform

Personally, I'd recommend VMware, although having cheap machines around is
pretty good too. I don't use VMware for testing multiple IE versions, but
it'll certainly work for that, and I give it a big thumbs-up.

Re: MSDE - where are data/index files?

Try searching for .adp files.

You can open Access, and then choose "new project". This will give you a
new "blank" database with support for triggers stored procs etc. When I
installed MSDE I had to also install some "visual design" components off the
Office CD that where not installed at the same time as MSDE itself.

My notes are here (if that helps)

Well, now I'm doubly mystified. I ran the MSDE install off my Office XP CD. Of
course there was no enterprise manager, so my next step was to install a datasource in
Win's ODBC applet. The wizard gave no file paths to specify... just a server name.

After securing the sa acct and making a tweak in CF Admin (to use a trusted connection

Tried searching for .mdf's, and only got the defaults I mentioned earlier, whose file

Any ideas? Obviously I'm clueless.

When you create a database, it's up to you to specify where the data and log
files will be created. Depending on how you created the database, they could
be anywhere, I suppose. You can just search your drives for any SQL data or
log files by extension (.mdf and .ldf, I think), or if you created them with
the command-line OSQL client, they might be in the directory from which you
ran OSQL.

URLencodedFormat & Ampersand in IE

2002-05-29 Thread Chip Griffin

A URLencodedFormat query string is breaking on one user's computer -- it
works fine for thousands of other people and I cannot recreate the error
on another computer using the exact same version of IE6. Basically, it
appears that the browser is decoding the encoded query string before
passing it to the server.

Specifically, after processing with URLencodedFormat the link looks like
this:

This has worked fine for over a year for everyone who has clicked on it.
It produces the expected value of URL.PageToLoad -
"reportview.cfm?ReportType=All&DaySpan=3"

Today, a user clicked on it (and it appears in the escaped format when
they do View Source, they tell me), but the query string that came
through to our application seems to have been decoded because the value
of URL.PageToLoad for this one user is "reportview.cfm?ReportType=All"
(i.e. it stops after what should be an escaped ampersand). And when I
look at CGI.QUERY_STRING for that one user, the appropriate values are
not escaped; for every other machine I have tested it on, it comes
across encoded.

I should also add that this is the same result for a variety of
different encoded query strings that this one user clicks on at the site
in question.

Any thoughts?

Chip Griffin

Maybe you can understand having to save money so you can pay rent and eat.

OK, now this isn't even a fair comparison. If you are going to argue that
JAVAONE costs over $2000 including travel and hotel, maybe you should include
travel and hotel in your cost figure for CFUN-2. You should probably also
calculate expenses per day, since I believe that JAVAONE lasts longer. It
probably also has a larger number of lectures per day so you can choose
lectures based on your needs rather than on what's available. So you should
again calculate on the number of lectures supported at JAVAONE.

I mean, I'm planning to go to CFUN-2 (now that my contracting is finally
starting to pay off and I have the spare cash), but if you are going to present
arguments about why I should go, at least make them accurate.

RE: ColdFusion MX / Studio MX now available!

2002-05-29 Thread Todd

Not in the eval.

When I purchase Studio MX this morning (before the rush... before the
macromedia store got transferred to digitalrivers)... I got all my
downloads and one of them was HomeSite+ (along with dreamweaver, etc).

Re: Why I haven't registered for CFUN-02

2002-05-29 Thread Michael Dinowitz

I'm going to the conference for many reasons. The ones that you might identify with
are:
1. To learn from others in the field about features of MX.
2. To know who's who and let them know me. Jobs come more from personal relationships
than from just sending out a resume.
3. To let people know I'm available for work
Anyone who needs to look for a reason to go can just think of those three and the
reason should be obvious. Your going to learn there. There's no ifs, ands or buts.
You'll be listening to top people in the field talk to you on a personal level about
the technology that you will need to know in the near future. This saves some of the
cost of classes, books and the sort.
If your there, your seen. Others know who you are. For example, there was one
conference a few years back where someone mentioned that he did adult sites in CF with
great security. Just that mention and a little talking about it led people to contact
him for sites. Was it worth it to be there in that respect? definitely.
Personally, if I don't have a new position by the time I go to the conference, I'll be
letting people know I'm available and the chance of me walking away with a job is
rather high. Why? Besides who I am, it'll be because they've met me, know me to some
degree and can talk to me in a non-business setting.
I expect a number of jobs to come from the conference.

Re: Why I haven't registered for CFUN-02

> seem to be able to do is drum up the work -- I guess i'm not a

> myself to a conference.

No, I don't understand at all.

you shouldn't consider this conference as a "Treat" it certainly is
not that. Being in the position you are in, especially if you are
freelancing, you need to do a few things to keep building your future
(ColdFusion aside for a sec).

- Market your skills: CFUN-02 will be a fantastic place to market your
skills, connect with other freelancers, or small companies. Talk
about the market, and talk about where it is going, and what you can
offer it.

- Upgrade your skills: CFUN-02 really is cheap when you consider what
we have there. ColdFusion courses (2-Day) start around $1200. The
scope of people we have coming to this conference represent all that
is the internet today - starting with ColdFusion, but really goes
beyond that. JAVAONE in SanFran will run you around
$2000 after travel, fees and hotel, and the FlashForward
is over $2000 !! -- really, $200 is not much.

- Look for work: Yea, the market is tight, there is no question about
it. Everyone is taking a hit, but there are companies that are looking
for people, and investing in a conference of this type demonstrates
your willingness and commitment to the market and the community.

The CFUN-02 weekend should not be considered a "party" or a relaxing
time. It is a time to learn and to mark your place in this industry
and put one foot in front of the other. Freelance work can not be
achieved if you make appearances and get your name out there.

At the end of the day on Sunday, you will be exhausted. Your mind
should be running off in all directions and you should have a pocket
full of business cards. You will be tired from preparing your
position before the conference, perhaps setting up a portfolio, and
you will be tired from following up with all the leads you are bound
to get.

This is just my opinion, Family and living is always top priority and
by no means can I relate to your position, but if you are in this
industry, and want to stay in this industry local events like this
one, FlashInTheCan, IMAT, MDCFUG, SIGGRAPH and all the others are
extremely important.

The reason we are putting so much energy into this conference is to
bring the big names, authors and developers to our city to provide an
opportunity for those folks who don't have the luxury of going to the
big conferences to experience what they offer in spirit, motivation,
education and most importantly to bring the local communiy together
for a weekend to "connect".

I believe in this community and this industry and we feel that an
event such as this is really needed right now, for more reasons then
we can list.

So, with all of this said, I really hope that you would re-consider
you position, and I really hope we will see you at the conference,
but if not, then I wish you the best in your freelance work.

OT: MSDE - where are data/index files?

2002-05-29 Thread Matt Robertson

Just installed MSDE (2000) and its working nicely. But I can't find the database I
created. It doesn't appear to be in c:\program files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\
although there are four data files in there (master, model, msdbdata, tempdb). None
appear to be the one I created and am already working with.

I have to missing something stupid... Where do I go to find the files?

Re: cfoutput with cfsetting enablecfoutputonly="yes" CF 5

2002-05-29 Thread mr_urc

I actually found a better way around it. I noticed that we had some images that
worked correctly on other pages. They were in their own table. So I just put
these inside another table and put the and inside the and
. It puts the space like this: but we all know _that_
space is ignored by the browser.

I'm still irritated, but the client will never know the difference. It really
does defeat my reason for using cfsetting there.

So, some of our user base now has IE6 for some damn reason.

Is there any way to have IE6 and IE5.5 installed at the same time on a

Check for CGI.SCRIPT_NAME and if some like www.myweb.com/login.cfm

Do an inLine JavaScript

window.open("loginPopup.cfm");

Post the form details back to Login.cfm after checking for data
and do window.close()
and log the user from Login.cfm.

Problems..
what happens if the user login data is invalid?
where do u want to check for User Authorization?
loginPopup.cfm? or Login.cfm , depending on those
parameters.. choose the app flow.

The problem is not the , but the return AFTER the cfoutput. I
agree this is a flaky implementation when suppression is turned on.

To make it look better for the customer, try this - remove the returns after

Only included on the DWMX CD, I hear. They sure are keeping it tightly
under wraps--and I'm assuming that's not because they're saving it as a
surprise.

I don't have an app, but from the authentication page, loaded in the popup, if
authenticated, load a page with the following:

opener.location.href="PageToLoad.cfm";
self.close();

I can expand on this if needed.

That's what did us in too. They wanted a cool million to move our stuff

Now here's my problem. The output looks like this:

Now this is really bad. I need to eliminate that extraneous space or the images

I did this:

This fixes the problem, because apparently, the extraneous space is being
outputed by the tag. (It couldn't be outputted by one of our custom
tags because no custom tag is called between the last and the

Now it looks like:

Oh, the final has bugs too, don't worry. Try this:

Enable "smart move" in your mouse settings (that's when the cursor snaps to a
newly-focused default button).
Open up an HTML doc in default "coder view". Click inside the HEAD tag, on TITLE or a
META tag. Watch the cursor jump to the Properties panel at the bottom. If I turn off
the Properties panel, the cursor jumps to my Windows taskbar instead. There's no way
to actually edit anything inside the head tags.

W2K sp2, latest Logitech mouse driver.

And yes, I did report about this in the preview release. Waste of time?

Also I'm wondering where Homesite+ is... wasn't it supposed to have been included
with DWMX? Or is it now a separate product?

Cheers,
-Max

Re: OT: Image Servers

2002-05-29 Thread chad

What do you want to do? Re-purpose images, store them, serve them out on
the web? We use a combination of Canto Cumulus, and Efflare products.

We use Canto Cumulus to store and database images to easily find
them. www.canto.com

We use Efflare's imageCR and ImageFlare to re-size, convert, crop images
etc and serve them up on the web. www.efflare.com

ImageFlare is brand new and was semi-private released on the 27th. I have
had a few days to play with it and i love it so far. The full release
should happen at the end of the week when the documentation is done.
http://www.efflare.com/products/

Here is a link to the demo.
http://efflare.com/download/cfx_imageflare_demo_setup.exe

They even have a limited time discount on ImageFlare.
http://secure.emetrix.com/order/product.asp?PID=668675&DID=1307730&ID=&Q=&DC=ligature

I ran some tests today and ImageFlare was able to keep up with AlterCast
without breaking a sweat!

I input a 23meg RGB TIF and output a 300pixel wide RGB JPG. Altercast did
it in 13seconds.

Here are ImageFlare's results depending on the resampling method i chose:
0 None - 3 seconds
1 Lanczos3 - 32 seconds
2 Mitchell - 16 seconds (closest to Altercast's image quality vs. speed)
3 Linear - 3 seconds

Keep an eye on ImageFlare over the next few weeks. They are always
updating their products with new features and i hear they will be adding
Spline resampling that should match the Altercast speed if not surpass it.

Last Note:
Im prepping a proposal for a multi-lingual web site and ImageFlare is going
to make my life SOO much easier! Query the database for each language
and throw the results into ImageFlare, and gFont to produce excellent
custom graphics.

Re: installing PHP with CF on Win2K server

2002-05-29 Thread Justin Scott

PHP can do some things internally that CF would require custom tags/CFX tags
for, but the same is true the other way around as well. With PHP you also
lose CF's debugging capabilities. I believe it's more popular because a)
it's free, b) the source code is available so you can customize it if you
want, and c) it runs on more platforms. I still like CF better though.

Re: Memory problems

2002-05-29 Thread Jacob

I agree. We had Access for our database and had nothing but problems with
memory leaks. Had to reset the cold fusion service at least 4 to 6 times a
day.

Moved to SQL 7.0. What a different. Less headaches and resets. Went from
6 resets a day to maybe one every other week. Now with Windows 2000, CF 5,
and SQL 2000. I can sleep at nights with worry.

Sometime it is so quiet that I have to go to the server just to make sure
it is still going. And it is.

And, the folks at MySQL are working on their own called MyCC. Didn't care

RE: installing PHP with CF on Win2K server

2002-05-29 Thread Joshua Miller

I have CF5 (Developer Ed.), PHP, MySQL, SQL Server (Developer Ed.) all
running under IIS5 on a Win2K PRO box for my own personal development
use - I haven't had any problems and the install was actually quite
simple. You do need to create a mime mapping in IIS to recognize the
php extension, but it's all outlined in the installation instructions.

Once you get PHP/MySQL installed, I highly recommend PHPMyAdmin - it's a
PHP application that serves as a front-end to MySQL.

If you have any questions or problems getting it installed, feel free to
contact me off-list and I'll be of any assistance possible.

RE: Memory problems

2002-05-29 Thread Rob Baxter

Well, why do you think he's moving the list archive out of Access?

Up to a certain amount of traffic/data MS Access is a decent solution. After
that it's a 'disaster waiting to happen' to quote Michael himself.

I'd definetely begin considering other alternatives, ASAP.

Owen,

I doubt that the size of your files is the problem. Michael D. runs the
CF-talk list with an Access database (or did until just recently). Have you
got the latest MS Jet drivers? Access 2000 is much more stout than 97.
Perhaps the latest ODBC drivers would be a quick short term fix.

So, the consensus is Access is the problem! I wonder if the memory problems
have gotten worse in the past couple of months because of the growing size
of the database?

So running Cycle.bat sets up the scheduler? Or do I need to schedule
Cycle.bat to be run?

I guess conversion to MySQL is now on the top of the pile after vacation.

The biggest offender is 20 MB, with over 200 tables. Is that "a couple
million records" across all tables?

That's unchecked. But I don't think we'll be looking much further for
'help-Access-hobble-along' tips. We're overdue for a switch.

In our experience there's always been a lag time between official release of
the product and distribution of the product to subscribers. If I recall
correctly you'll be contacted by Macromedia when they're available (make
sure you registered your product so you're on their list).

I'm just starting out, basically to expand my skills beyond CF (will
definitely keep doing CF as well...), but also because an agency I do
work for is probably going to be pushing some of its clients towards
PHP.

I guess it being free is the major bonus. Someone else said that they're
fed up of losing clients who don't want to change their host. I'm aware
of stuff like built-in image manipulation that makes PHP attractive, but
with CFMX I imagine you'd have a hard time making a case for PHP over
CF, if you disregard cost. Once you factor cost in, you just need to
assess each situation, what would be best in each case.

But after finding my footing with CF, even though I learn new stuff
about it every week, I'm kind of itching to learn something new ;-)
Foolish to limit your skills, I think.

Hi Jon,
Subscription holders will not be sent cd's. Within the next week or so you should be
receiving an e-mail with your subscription information and a link to an area on our

PHP, is not simply a web language. It can be used to write full on
applications, like perl, it is just not very popular for it. It is a very
powerful language that even gives you i/o support (like talking to com ports
and stuff). Now this is not how it is normally used. I am mainly a CF guy,
and I have recently started to dive into PHP. I would like to say, given
the choice for a web app I will continue to choose CF. I mean it took me
like twenty lines to write a query and while loop that in cf would have
taken like 5 or 6.

Again just my opinion, and I am still a PHP novice.

I guess conversion to MySQL is now on the top of the pile after vacation.

RE: Memory problems

2002-05-29 Thread Rob Baxter

Two questions..

1) How big are you access dbs? After a couple million records access tends
to go belly up...

2) are you using connection pooling? Access memory leaks will kill you if
you have the "maintain db connectoins" box checked in the ODBC administrator

Hi everyone,

Okay, I've been struggling with this one for a while, and I'm sure there's a
solution, but I'm just not seeing it.

I've got a collection of tables, among which are document, and attrib_xref.

In the attrib_xref table, there's (among others) the following columns:
DocID
AttribID
AttribValue

Each document can have multiple attributes, so there may be many lines in
this table, with the same DocID, but different AttribID/AttribValue pairs.

What I'd like to be able to do is an "and" search for multiple attributes,
so I'd like to be able to say that I'm looking for the document with
DocID=x, where AttribID=12 and it's corresponding value is 'some text', AND
where there's also a second Attrib_XRef record with DocID=x, where
AttribID=24 and it's corresponding value is 'some other text'

I also need this to be extensible - ie, a person may specify one attribute
pair, or 2, or 3, or... etc.

Any suggestions (short of re-designing the DB - that's out of my control,
unfortunately).

If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it...

Thanks,
Dirk

RE: SQL query question

2002-05-29 Thread Rob Baxter

All I can quickly come up with would be to use self-joins for every
attribute/value pair.

select A.DocId from
attrib_xref A inner join attrib_xref B on A.DocID = B.DocID
where A.attribId = 12
and B.attribId = 24
and A.attribValue = 'some text'
and B.attribValue = 'some other text'
...

You'll have to dynamically write out the sql, adding another self join for
every pair you want to search for. It should work, but it's gonna be dog
slow I would think. Hopefully someone else can find a better solution for
you...

RE: installing PHP with CF on Win2K server

2002-05-29 Thread LANCASTER, STEVEN M. (JSC-OL) (BAR)

I have installed PHP on a server thought I was not running SQL Server 2000.
If you have plenty of resource then it should be fine, but there are a few
things you will run into.

1) it does not seem to set it up in IIS so that it recognizes that it needs
to use the PHP interpreter for those files.

2) If you install on one drive and have IIS on another it seems to have a
problem finding the interpreter.

Those were the only probelms I ran into and also PHP took a lot of resources
if all that is on the same box..

see a reason why not, but this is going beyond my knowledge, so thought
I'd check to see if there are any pitfalls to watch out for!

I've had PHP/CF running happily together on Apache / Win2k / WinXP with no
problems. Same on a linux box.

Nope, this is the final version - the Preview Release was not final and still had some
bugs, etc. I would highly suggest you uninstall and then install the final trial:

installing PHP with CF on Win2K server

2002-05-29 Thread Gyrus

I've been developing quite happily with CF for a while now, using Access
and SQL Server on our Win2K Server development box. Thinking of
branching out into PHP, with mySQL, and just wondering about the server
setup as it gets more complex:

Can PHP4, CF5 (developer edition), mySQL, SQL Server 2000 (developer
edition), all coexist happily with IIS 5 on a Win2K Server box? Can't
see a reason why not, but this is going beyond my knowledge, so thought
I'd check to see if there are any pitfalls to watch out for!

cheers,

I think in the cfusion\bin directory there is a batch file provided that
sets up your scheduler to restart cf services at 2am (or so).

That's a known "Feature"

Schedule a task that restarts all the cold fusion services in the middle of
the night using the command line net stop and net start commands.

It's documented in the knowledge base somewhere deep in there, but it's
pretty simple to get a batch file built to restart the cold fusion
services...

Subject: Memory problems

We've been having problems lately with our server running out of memory.
I've gone over everything looking for unlocked session variables and cfx
tags. We've increased the amount of RAM on the server. But still we're
having problems, which seem manifest themselves first in errors generated by
cfx tags and then in loss of connection to the database (Access).
Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed to find out the cause of
the problem? Somewhere I heard that ColdFusion server doesn't release
memory once it uses it--that it holds on to it just in case. Is this true?
