Well, I was going to announce it on the list, but I had a little reference number I had to enter and I wasn't sure how legit it was anyways. RE: Checkoutaspnet.com ?? Anyone heard of it?
Doing a whois on that domain name gives up the name Global Crossing. Thought that they were out of businessI invested a lot (for me) of money in them about 1 year before they became the fourth largest corporation to claim bankruptcy in US history. Yes, I was another victim of the dot bomb! Bummer that you can't get to that site again. I would love a *legit* copy of Windows 2003 server. RE: Checkoutaspnet.com ?? Anyone heard of it?
I did the same thing, received my copy, and was told I won a PocketPC. I received the same PocketPC when I signed up for some other marketing promotion from Microsoft. It's okay, but not great (the PDA at least). I assumed I got the promotion either through my MCSE or my MSDN subscription. I also get that Microsoft magazine, could be there too. I AM looking forward to using that copy of server 2003 though. I have to assume it's legit. At a minimum, I would argue I could have believed it was legit. It all is very legit and everything that I've gotten is definitely from Microsoft. I still don't think I'll convert to ASP.net for my primary language, but I'll definitely try it out now, and who knows, I may use it for some projects.
