Re: [Chevelle-List] 6" Fiberglass Cowl Hood
Dale: Lol no they aren't. In 1971 I bought a teardrop fiberglass hood for my 65. I had it for about 6 months and decided to put it on. The darn thing was for a 64. 64 hoods are straight across the front and 65 has a slight V. needless to say they weren't happy when I returned it. Larry (Z)

Title: Message There is another member that used to post here, Colin Crews, that has a 68 Chevelle with a "less expensive" hood that he spent many hours on making it work. Sometimes you just have to go with what's out there for your particular car if you want the product. Probably the reason the 66/67 years are the last to get products is they are a one-year-only item unlike other years where the hoods (and other panels) will fit more than one. Can't wait to see what Goodmark does with a 67 hood; maybe Harwood will jump on the band wagon soon as well. On my '69, I have a 6" Harwood with the finished underside. It's really a high quality hood that looks great. Underside looks so nice, I didn't bother painting it. You can see some pics of it at http://www.prostreetcar.com/69_malibu.html I'd highly recommend the Harwood if you can get it. good luck, Capt Crunch wrote: I have been looking at fiberglass panels and the word out on Unlimited is that it is more for racers that are concerned with saving weight, rather then a good appearance.
