I remember having a b$#ch of a time getting the pittman arm off the shaft. I think we made a decent divot in the cement of the garage floor doing some "persuading" with the mini-sledge and still did not get it off. I think we gave up and took it to a shop, but it has been over ten years and my memory of that fiasco has faded... well, my pipe wrench works for both SAE and metric, depends on which side of the handle you're looking at when you use it...
