To unsubscribe from this service you must first purchase a Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription Cancellation Unit. The unit can be obtained from most hardware stores and dental clinics. Be sure to obtain the proper permits to operate the unit from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Food and Drug Administration in Washington D.C. USA. Be sure to carefully unpack the kit and place each component in its accompanying mesh safety bag. Mount the Pershing DF4 mesinator on top of the perforated Gerring Mach 77 refibulator and attach them using the eight-millimeter torque fork. Be sure that the refibulator is mounted at a 66 degree angle and properly dispersed so that it is flush with the curved section of the Pyrex thistle tube. Place the four sections of the triangular separation gear into the posture cylinder and lock them into place using the band aid adhesive strip. Insert the wiggling pin into the wobbling hole, making sure that it seated correctly. Place the D cell battery and the eleven 9 volt batteries in the power chamber. The device should be calibrated before operation using the optional digital corkscrew accessory pack prior to operation. Insert the digital corkscrew through the electronic combustion service chamber using caution not to touch the reinforced tungsten igniter control module and quickly turn the inverter drive to 28.6 degrees. Turn the Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription Cancellation Unit upside down and hit the bottom plate with a 48-ounce ball-peen hammer while shaking the unit vigorously. Force open the door to the incineration valve compartment and set the pressure gauge to 719 psi. Close the door and seal it shut with duct tape. The unit should now be properly calibrated and ready to use. Before activating the Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription Cancellation Unit, you must first elevate it to a height of 229 feet above sea level to insure that the unit receives the proper oxygen level and barometric pressure. Point the aerial to 17 degrees north by northeast to within the parameters of the Telstar GS-2 weather satellite and apply pressure to the wing shaft on the southern most section of the modular accelerator. Using the special ratchet adapter supplied with the unit, rotate the heater core to the "on" position. The "on" position has been obtained when the green light begins to flash, signifying that the red light is about to go off. Once the red light is off, flip the toggle switch labeled "ON/OFF" to the "ON" position and count to 47 before logging on to the system. Logon using your username and password and wait for the prompt. Once prompted you must check the box with the appropriate action you wish to take and then press the pressure release button and turn off the compressor while turning the hand crank at 231 meters per minute. Next, press control, alt, delete, caps lock, shift, number lock, escape and tab simultaneously. Press enter. You will have one second to complete the procedure. If you fail to respond in the time limit allowed, simply purchase a new Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription Cancellation Unit and start from the beginning. Please remember that this is the only way we will accept for you to unsubscribe from this service. We have made every attempt to simplify the procedure for your convenience. Failure to comply with the unsubscribe policy will result in immediate termination of your subscription so please follow the above directions closely --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > I CANNOT OPEN MIME FILES > PLEASE CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION > THANK YOU > __ Do you Yahoo!? I wish Kurt! Actually it is at my parent's place since I live in an apartment with no garages. I had two guys lined up to store it for me as usual, but they both bricked on me. Rather irritating. But the car gets a couple floor patches in the spring and the dispite the pics it has a few bubbles in the lower quarters and one on the passenger door... so she isn't mint (I would never want to subject a mint SS or even a mint/clean chevelle to the abuse I put her through on the track. Body panels would never stay 100% straitght). So I figured one winter outside would be ok. Plus the good thing is I can work on it easier this way :) Mikey - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, December 24, 2003 9:02 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Chevelle-list] Re: Chevelle-list Digest, Vol 5, Issue 43 In a message dated 12/23/03 1:00:33 PM Eastern Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: http://www.mnracing.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/winterwork.jpg If that is outside, WHAT IS IN THE GARAGE?!?!?! RE: [Chevelle-list] Re: [Chevelle-list]Leaky Intake
I installed the intake exactly as you described, ie, I didn't use rubber gaskets in the front and rear of the manifold, just black high temp RTV per the Edelbrock installation guide. I was also very careful not to adjust the manifold after laying it down. I'm going to try cleaning it up and putting some RTV in the spot where the leak is. There is a small indentation in the RTV in that spot, so I'm hoping I might get lucky. I figure it can't hurt. The leak is slow enough so that the oil that accumulates on the starter wires (actually the wire loom) is'nt enough to form a drop after a week of driving. I'm not even 100% sure that's where the oil is coming from, but I can't see anywhere else it could be coming from. Just want to add a little tid-bit to troopers info.. If you do use high Temp RTV after you run a read on the front and rear eng block.. let it sit up( cure) awhile b-4 you plop the intake on Why,, because RTV floats and if it wet and runny and the intake compresses it in a runny form , it will blob inside the block get in the oil pan and get sucked up in the oil pump... and Oil Pumps hate rubberized RTV.. .FWIW Wayne ACES #1556 TC# 186 - Original Message - From: "Trooper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, August 01, 2003 6:12 PM Subject: [Chevelle-list] Re: [Chevelle-list]Leaky Intake > Tom just an FYI on the intake leak. Thanks trooper, thank you all in fact. I've learned allot here today. This is a great little forum. Was there a website that goes with these emails, or is it just a list of Chevelle owners who get to chat? I can't thank you enough for the instant responses. I hope to have pictures later this year to show off my ride. I too wouldn't mind checking out Sarge's car. I'll bet his dad is really gonna flip when he sees it in the garage! Re: [Chevelle-list] RE: [Chevelle-list]
Diane, Yes you have to because you will then be putting the staple through the predrilled hole in the dust shield (I've never tried to press the staples through the thick rubber W/O a predrilled hole. ) then the inner finder and bend them over with pliers on the inner fender side. The only two I've done had new dust shields and new inner fenders so they both needed drilled. I just placed the shield where I wanted it and drilled both at the same time. With holes already in your inner fenders I would advise have a second person hold the shield where you want it the drilling from the inner fender side into the engine compartment using the fender well holes as a guide. So am I! I was really looking forward to Mantorp & actually meet one of you guy's that been so helpful, and to cruise around in Stockholm & Sweden a bit. So far it's only been transports between different garages. That's taken the edge of the joy to at last owning a cool classic a bit. :-( Hopefully Things will get better soon as I plan to rearrange my whole living situation! I'm planning to move back to my hometown area, buy a house with a nice garage. I'm already applying for jobs "up there". James, welcome to the list. André Hello, everyone my names is James. I'm from North Texas, I've been restoring chevy's for the better part of my years, my last three cars have been 69 chevelles you might say im stuck on year's, anyway my present project is a 69 chevelle two door post, i found in a savage yard in the middle of Dallas, 400 dollars later it rest was in my hands capable hands, about 7000 dollars and a thousand man hours, bring me near the end of my restoration, first of the car was strip down to the bare so i needed to find just about everything you might think, , 12 bolt posi 400 turbo tranny, 396 engine, f40 and f41 front and rear suspension, i didn't have the build sheet, so i put it back the way i would have bought it, had i been 10 years older. everything on the car has been gone though, the only thing i wish i done myself was the paint work, which turn out less then perfect, so to anyone that read this if you like to restore cars learn to do your own paint and body, anyway im waiting for warm weather to finish this bone stock big block beast, here is a picture a few months ago, thanks and look forward to reading your mail, James p/s i will post a pic just as son has i figure out how - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Are there any girl owners in the Chevelle List? I own a 1966 Chevelle Malibu, black exterior/black interior, with a holley carb, 327 small block, has a snowflake exh. manifold. 4 speed manual, saginaw trans. Supposedly it has a 1966 Covette engine in it - I'll let you know what the numbers are so someone can let me know if it really is. Have owned it about 10 years now. Used to do alot of work on it myself, but I've found a mechanic I trust to work on it. It's a fun car. Ann

[Chevelle-List] Re: [Chevelle-list] Exhaust hanger location
Rodney, I don't know if you are still looking for info on the hanger location but here goes anyways. I just had the flowmaster system installed on my '70 Chevelle by the local muffler shop. I had to help him as I put new headers on as well. The place you are looking for is on top of the back frame rail right in front of the rearmost body mount. On my frame there is a hole there with one of those clips that you would use to mount a bolt into when securing an inner fender. We took the bracket from the kit and only had to bend it a little in order to get it to mount to that hole. I wish I had a picture with me but I am at work. If you would like a picture of my installation, please feel free to email me off list and I would be more than happy to get you one. I hope that I didn't confuse you. I looked at a 71 and it looked like a different bolt patter n, but didn't have a way to double check. > > Mikey > - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

d and spank his butt and say "NO!" when it's necessary to do so. I'll admit that the only movie that ever made me cry was Ole Yeller. I didn't realize Dr. Seuss was a genius until I had a kid. I will not be frowned upon or be looked down upon or be made to keep silent because I have these beliefs and opinions. I thought this country allowed me that right. I will not conform or compromise just to keep from hurting somebody's feelings. I'm neither angry nor disenfranchised, no matter how desperately the mainstream media would like the world to believe otherwise. Yes, I guess by some people's definition, I may be a bad American. AMEN !! Coudn't have said it better. Mark
[Chevelle-List] Re: Chevelle-List PASS THIS ON
ONLY IN FLORIDA --- LAND OF TERRORIST 'S After hearing that the state of Florida changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her drivers license with her face covered, I believe this is even more appropriate. \ Read on, please! ...This is an Editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa Newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he?? IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely composed of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! "In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so ONLY after you become a citizen. But, once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE. Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List SAE gross horsepower: A production engine's actual power available at the flywheel or output shaft (usually crankshaft) as tested with an absorption dynamometer. It differs from SAE net horsepower in that many of the accessories (such as alternator, water pump, etc.) are not attached. Engines before 1973 were primarily measured with these "gross" numbers. Since 1973, "net" figures were published. This confusion caused many people to suppose that their engine had been seriously de-tuned when they saw that the same engine in 1972 had 400 hp but in 1973 had only 235 hp. (This example is from the Cadillac 500 cubic inch engine). Compare SAE net horsepower. Also see brake horsepower and horsepower. SAE net horsepower: The brake power (power available at the flywheel or output shaft -- usually the crankshaft) of a fully equipped engine fitted with all the accessories necessary to perform its intended functions unaided. In 1973, automobile manufacturers began publishing their engine specifications in "net" horsepower and "net" torque instead of "gross" figures. In many cases the published numbers were significantly lower in 1973 than in 1972. Some of the decrease was attributed to the addition of pollution equipment, the lowering of compression, and the use of regular unleaded gasoline instead of premium leaded fuel. However most of the decrease in number was a switch to "net" figures. Compare SAE gross horsepower. Also see brake horsepower and horsepower. - Original Message - From: "Dave Studly" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, September 03, 2001 1:45 PM Subject: [Chevelle-List] RE: [Chevelle-List] Gellért's 66 Chevelle > > Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List > > > A couple things changed. [Chevelle-List] RE: [Chevelle-List] Gellért's 66 Chevelle
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List A couple things changed. Compression dropped in 1971, lowering HP, and starting in 1972 (I think), engines were rated in SAE Net HP, opposed to the old rating of SAE Gross HP. Someone correct me if this is wrong, but I believe: SAE Gross HP: Measured at the flywheel. Not all accessories are neccessarily operating. Dyno headers possible. Probably similar to dyno at your local machine shop. SAE Net HP: Measured at the back of the transmission, with exhaust hooked up and all accessories operating. -Dave, [EMAIL PROTECTED] > HP ratings did drop in the early 1970s because of all the anti-pollution > stuff being added to the motors. It's body was all rusty so i decided to save the stuff i need and take the rest apart. I know i messed up the restoration order, but i had no experience and i didn't get any advice. I hope i'll be carefull enough to not scratching it. Re: [Chevelle-List] Re: [Chevelle-List} Need help to I.D.
Greg: 3834947 is for CHEVELLES 1965 283/ 195 & 220 HP 1965 327 / 250 , 300 & 350 HP AND 1966 283 / 195 ND 220 W/O A.I.R & 327,275 & 350 HP W/O A.I.R. according to Chevrolet by the numbers it was used in previous model years but they do not state which years. Chevrolet parts interchange manual shows a part number 3892679 64-68 chevelle and Camaro but Chevrolet by the numbers shows that manifold for 67 and 68 Camaro and chevelle small blocks. The two do look quite a bit alike. ADP Hollander for 64-72 chevelle show 3834947 and 3892679 interchangeable Larry
