I am in total agreement Larry, they must be found and punished, when I made
my last comment, I made it clear that I said that as soon as I heard the
news, that was a comment clearly out of my mouth without any thought to it.
I will say that action must be taken or this will happen again and again.

Larry,
This is all to true. It could happen. But it could happen from any one of a
hundred different sources in the world today. It could have happened at any time
over the last fifty years. But luckily it hasn't. I just feel that if we show
the world our willingness to use these weapons, it will just make it seem that
much more likely that someone will then use them against us. Maybe it's because
of my age. I grew up with the nuclear threat & air raid drills, etc in the
fifties & sixties, so I guess that I'm afraid that once one of these
terrible weapons is unleashed, it will be the beginning of the end for all of
us.
Hopefully our intelligence depts. & military will be able to continue
as it has for the last fifty years to thwart any attempt at this kind of action
against us.

I completely disagree with this. This type of wait and see shit has us with
lots of dead people and two missing architectural icons. Total elimination
of these people and any and all supporters is imperative. I commend the
Government for their swift reaction in making this and other options

If you'll notice, they have said they want to wipe out terroristseven

Since a lot of them are in the Middle East, you might see a strike of this

Josh Josh Josh

Your statement and some others I have seen on tema chevelle about "Nuke em" worries
the sh*t out of me. We are all in agreement that military action is warranted. I
myself did not servce in the Military. I was lucky and was not required to sign up for
the draft during the extended peace time.

My father god rest his troubled soul served in Veitnam and took his anger and
confusion of his countries involvement to his grave quietly. He had told my brothers
and I many years ago that he would not hold anything against us if we did or chose not
to go fight. Beyond that, his silence was understood by us that it was end of
discussion.

You are younger than some here. You like many of us have lived in the beauty of peace
time for many years. You and I most likely know war through Hollywood's screen sets.
We cannot truly comprehend what is was to walk in the boots of many before us.

So, I am really starting to ramble but please take some time and think about making
these statements or phrases of Nuclear weapons to resolve our issues with others. See
folks how easy it would be for a person to make this decision to it end all. DAMN
SCARY STUFF! I do appreciate your fellowship here on Team Chevelle Josh as do
other fellow Chevelle friends here. I also promise to shut my trap on this non
chevelle related stuff. Sorry all.

Well, consider our nukes like a Chevelle/Elky that's been sitting
in a hanger for 30 yrs or more, not even sure it will work.
Got to crank em up every once in a while...
& we have mini-nukes never got to try them out.
"If" we nuked a few countries NOBODY would mess with us again!

They do now because we WERE Wusses. & yes I grew up in the 50's.

Josh,

I was also afraid and ashamed to admit that those were my first thoughts as
well. As I listened to a caller on a local radio station talk about the way
the terrorist b**tards have been behaving like rotten children for the past
thousand years and how we should "turn 'em all to glass and give them a
thousand year timeout", it occurred to me just how dangerous that kind of
response could be. There are now five known, and I stress the word known,
nuclear powers in the world today, one of which is Pakistan. As you may or
may not know, Pakistan borders Afghanistan, a likely target. After growing
up in the late fifties and sixties I have a fair understanding of just what
the consequences of a nuclear strike would mean to civilization on this
planet. While I share your sentiment, I can not agree with a nuclear
solution to this problem.

You are right, so when we find out who did this we should gather them
all up. Fly them here, strip them of all their clothes & super glue
them to a big 4 lane highway (one in each state), then have the Chevelle
cruise of all time. 1000's of Chevelles & Elkys lined up at the start,
guess we could call it the "Trash speed bump run". Run it till nothing
is left of the "speed bumps".

Fitting that they be crushed by big American iron that was made in
a time that nobody F**ked with us!

We've been putting up with this for a lot of years, and the situation
only gets worse. It's time to take an offensive position.
