Re: [Chevelle-List] Gearvenders under/over verses 700R4
I didn't build the trans, I bought it from Premiere Performance in the Los Angeles area (I don't know if they're still in business). The lock up function doesn't work (Premiere advised against it) and like I said it's been in use for quite a few years with no problems. It's definitely not stock but unfortunately I don't remember the specific upgrades other than it has more clutch plates than stock, a custom tailored governor (for my car's setup), and a non-lock up convertor. If you want the lock up function to work, they sell wiring kits for non-computer cars. You may want to check out this link, they seem to think they know quite a bit about the 700R4. http://www.700r4.com/ cYa- Herb Lumpp1966 El CaminoACES 3509, MCC 528http://users.adelphia.net/~hlump/ - Original Message - From: jlon5 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 12, 2002 8:48 AM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-List] Gearvenders under/over verses 700R4 Herb, did you build up the trans or did you put it in stock? That is exactly what I have said several times about the th350 or 700r4 trans. they do not hold up well under big torque. Larry (z)
