ATM with 7200 and IMA with CES [7:29368]
Hi group, I have a few 7200 with ATM-CES adapters in them. I want to depoly them over WAN with a 4.5 meg bandwidth to each. The telco handed to us 3 T1s. I would assume an IMA device of some kind is needed here. However, I still want to use the existing ATM-CES adapters for this case. How would I set this up if I use a Cisco IMA adapter? Are there any other external IMA mux besides the cisco's IMA adapter that I can use with my atm-ces module, and are less than $5000? I'm new to ATM, so any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks peter. route map will do in my situation. Adam --- Peter Slow wrote: you need to route based on source, you NEED policy routing to do that. you might look into ip unnumbered as well, as this would bind each serial interface to the fe subinterface. you could also bridge and make the box at the other end of the serial link the default gw for the boxes on that vlan. RE: passed CCDA [7:1653]
Point taken. Thought about it again, this frustration mainly came because I didn't document any scenario at all. I just did every one by a quick browse. The impatience added up after 30-40 questions here and there. Maybe meaningless, just curious what those acronyms mean? Adam --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Why shouldn't they mix them up? mentor tech and global knowledge [7:1811]
3rd day into my CID course with Mentor Tech. The instructor Bill McInerney, a CCIE, seem to be a well-rounded knowledgable guy. Good teaching skills too. Took a Nortel VPN class with global knowledge a few weeks back, the instructor was not very knowledgable, even in the security aspect (misinterpret/can't answer a few questions). Not well-prepared for the class (can't find an important command because of an OS version upgrade). I'm planning on taking a CCIE lab course soon. I know the above may not be a good comparion. Has anyone taken Global Knowledge's CCIE lab course? How good is their instructing quality? I'm leaning toward Mentor Tech. Bruce Caslow is teaching the ECP1 now, and I heard other known CCIE book writers are also teaching there. Can anyone shed some lights on the comparison of both CCIE lab courses? Thanks for all your input on setting up a floating static suggestion, but the 2 PVCs that I have are both active and in production, and each is carrying different type of traffic. Route the traffic over S0/0.2 if the primary link should become unreachable. You have to be careful with the administrative distance on the backup route. If you are running a routing protocol (OSPF, RIP, etc.) you will have to take into account what the default distances are for these protocols. Keep in mind that a route that points to an interface is distance 0 and a route to an IP address is distance 1.
