CCIE-lab scenarios [7:34870]

2002-02-08 Thread Clark Jason

Hello all,

Question for you all...I'm a CCNP, and I'm getting ready to take on the CCIE
written and LAB exam within the next few months. I have reviewed CCO's
blueprint on the exam and have mapped out a schedule on what to study to
make sure that I cover all the topics for the CCIE written. Also, I'd like
to hear about any GOOD lab scenarios that are out there that I can purchase
or download that will help me in my studies for the lab. I plan to attend
the Centennial Networking Lab in Raleigh, NC, for my hands-on practice, and
I'm looking for some good scenarios that will really sharpen my skills. I
have heard positive things about ccbootcamp.com's lab workbook, but it's
kinda pricey. What other workbooks are out there??? I heard about
certificationzone.com's work book, and solutionlabsare they any good?
Anybody with information that's willing to share would be helpful

Thanks,

Jason Clark, CCNP

RE: CIT 4.0 help

2000-05-30 Thread Clark, Jason

Are the Boson tests helpful in preparing for the CIT? Boson has 3 separate
sets of practice tests for the CIT exam. Any recommendations on which one
to purchase (1,2, or 3) as I don't want to shell out $90 for all three?

following message % Interface Ethernet0/0 does not support user settable

RE: setting mtu size on a 2611

2000-06-05 Thread Clark, Jason

Yeah, I know it's not a good idea to change the MTU. The reason I am doing
this is for testing purposes for a customer. I am trying to test out PMTU
discovery. Basically I want to change the MTU to 1450 on the router and
then enable PMTUD on a Solaris box and configure Solaris with the default
MTU of 1500 and have the two devices negotiate the MTU to 1450.

Thanks

I heard that. Im pretty much going to tackle it with the same assumption.
Still I would like to be relatively prepared for it. I also notice that you
get the results like 6-8 weeks later. Does that mean that you dont receive a
"PASS/FAIL" screen at the end of the exam? Hmmmkinda tough when you
think about itI mean, not knowing how well you did

Sorry i think that was a typo.CCO's website does indeed say that the
351-001 counts for the R&S qualification exam.

Here's the Link:

All,

So does that mean in 6-8 weeks, the current(non-beta) exam will be no more?
And the new exam will be structured more like the BETA?

Any info would be helpful.I'm sitting the BETA tomorrow as a trial
runKnowing that would be good

Those who have passed IE-written, please advise [7:24289]

2001-10-26 Thread Clark Jason

First of All, Congrats and well-wishes to all those who have passed the
CCIE-written.

I have a question for youI will be taking the CIT on Tuesday, and with
God's grace, and my continued study, I have faith I will pass. CCNP tests
will be a thing of the past at that point, but then WHAT? Lots of people
that I have run into say that the CCDA/DP route is the next best thing to
taking the IE-written. I have a corporations training budget behind me, so
it wouldn't be a problem for me to get some hands-on exp with routers
training-wise(I do have some already), as well as getting all of the study
materials that I need to get the IE-written out of the way, as well as the
lab. For those of you who know, I work right next to the CCIE networking lab
in Raleigh, NC(www.cnl.ncsu.edu), so live equipment training would be
attainable for me. Is it reasonable to simply go for the IE-written, or in
lieu of everything stated above, I still should go the Da/DP way first. All
you "pending" CCIE'sPlease ADVISE

Wish me luck on Tuesday,

Jason
