Hi Noel
Have you tryed to switch console from the console port on the switch.
This should give you the router console port.

Hope this helps

I think "show controller " only works for the DCE side.

Brad:
Yes, I'll try your suggestion of checking the CSU setting. But for

received on DTE side ?

Thank you.

G'day All,

Currently got a problem with a WAN I support where they are getting
time-outs with their Citrix Clients. Citrix Clients are connected via
frame-relay edge routers 1700's to an ATM core router 7200VXR NPE-200 with
ATM DS3 routing traffic between all sites. Can anybody suggest any QOS
solutions to prioritize the Citrix traffic. So far I have reserched the
following:

Citrix Ports 1494/tcp ica
  1494/udp ica
(not sure which of these needs more priority)
bandwidth ~ 20k per user (although I have heard that it can be a lot higher
than this)
average packet size 300 bytes
delay sensitive

I am looking at Priority queueing, but a little concerned about the
warnings
that it may starve other traffic if the Citrix queue is constantly full. If
anyone has any suggestions, or played with this before it would much
appreciated.

Many Thanks

Steve

2000-12-08 Thread Dave . Craddock

Hi Ash
The message you get is not an error it is just telling you that the
config was created by a version 12 and the boot system is a version 11.
This is just to let you know that if the image from version 12 is not
loaded then all of the commands may no work correctly.
With the bootup looking for a hostname have you set the system boot
command to look for a tftp server ? have you tryed doing a clear startup
and then doing a reload ?

Hope this helps

Hi there,

I have tried the recommendations made and it still doesn't work. As
mentioned previously I get the following error at start-up:

%SYS-4-CONFIG_NEWER: Configurations from version 12.0 may not be
correctly
 under stood.

I have tried the "write mem" and "reload" commands after upgrading the
image, but no joy!! The registry key is set to 0x2102 which is ok.

What is the remedy for the above warning message?

Another problem is that the router tries to resolve the actual hostname
after the boot/POST check:

If you are using both serials. Are they in the expansion slot or in
the WAN slots. If you have a spare WAN slot you could use a WIC 2 T to give
you 2 high speed ports.

How have you got the 4 ISDN ports into the router ?

The WIC ( 2 Serial Sync/Async) are busy for two sites, i must do a new

With this architecture Can I repalce the WIC Low Speed Serial with the
