VPN though ISDN BRI [7:42719]

2002-04-26 Thread Steiven Poh-\(Jaring MailBox\)

Guys,

I have a EICON DIVA LAN ISDN BRI Modem
(http://www.eicon.com/worldwide/products/ISDN/divalan.htm)
dial-up to internet and all my workstation are able to surf net.

But once I secure the VPN connectivity to my HQ on every workstation, the
local and destination LAN was lost.
If I by pass above device and use single workstation attached modem, is work
and I'm able to connect to my HQ.

Question:-
This device may not cater for multiple VPN client and what other solution I
can implement to solve above
issue. I already have the ISDN BRI dial-up line and my HQ is using
Concentrator 3000.

Thanks for HELP.

Queston about Aironet !!! [7:23691]

2001-10-21 Thread Steiven Poh-\(Jaring MailBox\)

Hi Folks,

Question :

1. What is the transmision rate in Mbs againts distance, meaning that if you
are the only user on the AP will the data transfer rate degrade when you are
getting far away from the AP.
2. What is the max distance from AP to workstation.
3. If your server is runing DHCP, AP set to be static, will the cleint be
able
to get dynamic IP.
4. Is there any integration between the Aironet systems with the barcode
wireless systems which is also Aironet(2Mbps).
5. How to explain on the Beacon receive show on the Aironet program when we
perform signal strength monitoring. Which the signal strength degrade againts
distance and the beacon tend to be on 100%.

Looking forward for your reply

Thanks

Problem On PIX Hardware [7:12084]

2001-07-12 Thread Steiven Poh-\(Jaring MailBox\)

Hello Cisco Folks,

The problem that we face is a lot unusual. We are successfully
configured the PIX with Cicso Secure ACS software on the server and
have created some user ID on the software for the authentication to
access to internet through proxy server. The good thing is it can
immediately ask for the authentication when first time to access to
internet. But when we successfully login it, the next PC to access to
internet, It doesn't ask for any authentication. Just straight away
can access to internet. But after the Time-out period on the PIX, it
will ask again for the authentication.

Looks like once first ID have been logged in, the rest of the user
can go in smoothly without any authentication. This is not logic at
all. I'm not sure wether the problem is occured due to the Cisco
Secure ACS software of the PIX hardware. Any Advice?

Rgds,
Steiven
