Is these flash card just a ISA adaptor (converter) and insert a 16MB PCMCIA

what's the brand name? The Cisco brand cost 7xx!

Re: 2513 to MAU RJ-45 connection? [7:16426]

2001-08-17 Thread anyong

Hi All,

I just cut and paste the following FYI.

Actually, there is such an animal as a Token Ring crossover cable. You are
correct that you can't use one to "back to back" Token Ring ports. They are
used in our environment for a direct station attachment (Cisco router ports)
to Bay Networks C100 Tokenspeed switch ports.

The RJ-45 pin outs are:

1-->1
2-->2
3-->4
4-->3
5-->6
6-->5
7-->7
8-->8

Hope this help and save some time.

Re: CCIE LAB PREP STRATEGIES [7:15046]

2001-08-06 Thread anyong

Hi,

So do I, I passed last week, and booked the lab on Feb.
I am currently using ALL in one 1st edition, and behind me are Caslow's 2nd
edition and Cisco press Lan switching.
I've equipped with 4 router, ISDN demo and 1 set base switch.
ATM, Voice and lightstream I cannot afford unless I've win a mark six
tomorrow. I'll try online remote rack on this.
I am totally no hands on for Token ring part, I don't even now how to
connect them : ( , can anybody advice a place or link for me to set up a lab
base token ring network? Two of my routes has token ring interface, 1 MAU, 1
Xircom pcmcia card and 1 IBM 4/16. 2 x db9-rj45 and 2 x db9-mau cables.
Furthermore, after those book and lab, I'll try bootcamp and most of the
Cisco press CCIE development books, I'll keep the Cisco Doc cd in my cd-rom.
Any expert please advice if I am missing something, as I got 6 month left
now. : ~

Thank you for any input to light me up.

2001-06-26 Thread anyong

Hi group,

Just have a chance to play with the AGS+ (with a broken on/off switch when
arrive!) : ( But the voltage is 110v only, I saw some info. from Cisco
web that it can be 220v as well. Anyone can help me without using the
voltage converter, How to set the jumper or precise instruction?

Thanks.
