Looks like it is trying to authenticate with the name plusnet? Is
that correct?

Try putting the: ppp pap sent-username xx password yy in and see
what happens. Put this under the bri0 int.

just check the following

the name of the remote router has to be the username and the password the
same on both

Hello Gaz,
I was facing a very similar issue.This is what I did and
it may seem
strange but it worked for me .I turned on service password-encryption and
then CHAP
authentication strated working .

Hello Gaz,
I was facing a very similar issue.This is what I did and
it may seem
strange but it worked for me .I turned on service password-encryption and
then CHAP
authentication strated working .
