Re: New Lab Format [7:48731]
I personally had a Nov 4th lab date and was able to swap to a Oct 24th date a couple of weeks ago. My thinking was that if they are getting rid of IPX and token switch stuff(fairly easy), that content will be replaced by other areas, not neccesarily the 3550 switch. I was totally geared up to take a test that had token ring and IPX in it and have been preparing for that since Jan. To throw out all of the study effort was painful and I didn't want to conquer new ground right now. I still need some more work on ATM, VOIP and BGP but everything else is pretty good. One good thing is that I am taking Caslow's class in Sept and he will be covering both the pre Nov 4th material and post Nov 4th material. This way if I am one of the 85% taking it over I will know what else to cover. Jester- I think this was a fair question. I'm not asking for details, strictly opinions. Just what part of my post did you find to be 'cheating'? Re: New Lab Format [7:48731]
You should go ahead and take it on the Nov.5. Just make sure you spend some time working on the 3550 EMI. There will be two of them in each pod and you will have to route between VLANs. The good new is that you will not have to do any CatIOS (simple but still). Re: New Lab Format [7:48731]
I suspect it is going to become VERY difficult to find open dates in the few weeks prior to November 4, the day the new format becomes official. Unless you want to travel to one of the lesser utilized labs in South America or the Pacific region. Best advice? Maybe delay your attempt, and see what you can scout up from the first folks through the pipe. 2nd best advice - get hold of one of those switches now and start banging it. It's not real hard to figure the kinds of things Cisco is going to test. JMHO Gene Volpe wrote in message [EMAIL PROTECTED]">news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]... I have my lab scheduled for Nov. 5th.
