Re: Switch for the CCNP lab
Sam, Hi! A cat5k will work great in your CCIE/CCNP lab. You could also use a 2901 (same IOS as cat5k). For real world scenerios, you could use the XL models of the Cisco switches, but I wouldnt recommend that for a CCIE lab. If you need a cat5k, let me know, I have several in stock. -B [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Sam Adams" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message 001c01c025a2$ffdfa370$075901c0@meanboy4">news:001c01c025a2$ffdfa370$075901c0@meanboy4... > Guys and gals: > > Finally building a lab of sorts and I was wondering what switch I would need > for the CCNP. I have a client that has a 2948G and it does have the same CLI as the 5000, as I worked with it on Wed. It's not like the 2900XL series. Used one's on ebay are pushing $3k. RE: Switch for the CCNP lab
Sam, I think the 2948G runs the same OS as the Cat5K. You could use this layer 3 switch in place of a Cat5K for the switching requirement on the exams. I think it even does ATM. -Original Message- From: Sam Adams [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, September 23, 2000 3:13 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Switch for the CCNP lab Guys and gals: Finally building a lab of sorts and I was wondering what switch I would need for the CCNP.
