no access to router
Hi group I got a cisco 2503 . I can't get access to the console except that i can see the information in the terminal window but can't not type .and unfortunately I lost the telnet password and enable password. my question is whether doing a password recovery to this router without getting access to the console port is possible ?? thanks ___ UPDATED Posting Guidelines: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/guide.html FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: no access to router
Sounds like you have flow control enabled on the PC port you're using to connect to the router. groupstudy wrote: > too bad , i will throw my 2503 out of window ,kiding..,thanks anyway > ElephantChild wrote in message ... > >On Sat, 29 Jul 2000, groupstudy wrote: > > > >>I got a cisco 2503 . Re: no access to router
I had the same problem with a 2501. Must have something to do with the console port chips that Cisco uses. Certain versions don't like Win 98 Hyperterm. If you're using Win98, go to the advanced settings, and tell it not to use FIFO buffers. Re: no access to router and I owe you email Oz ?
Save driving yourself nuts and a potential law suit from a person with a 2503 embedded in their skull try using terraterm you can get it free from the link below. Kinda glad this isn't an AGS space heater a hernia would be a bad thing to get from a lousy console app (grin) And to those who I owe email I will catch up tonight. Been very busy with some stuff but today is live day so things will quiet down a little . And so will my contributions to the tax roll.. gees for while there I was thinking I should not stop pumping out the hours as I have government to support.
