Netscape 4.73-8a
Ben, I know this version of Netscape is from yellowdog. No problem with that. it's a better version than mandrake because of the java lib. I saw what Stew has said about java, so i'll test it on mozilla, galeon and konqueror. My problem right know is that i can't install plugins on netscape. it seems to ignore the /root/.netscape/plugins directory. Mozilla can import those plugins from netscape and konqueror also. The mouse wheel doesn't work on netscape - wonder why? Jeroen, thanks for the Java link (Stew as pointed to it) The link to the flash plugin that you send by mistake is also nice, i'll try to compile it. do you know other plugins for ppc browsers? Thank you all -- Crie o seu email gratuito no mail.pt http://www.mail.pt
Charset on KDE 2.2 and KDE 3
both KDE 2 and 3 has the same font problem: if i use drakfont to read the euro sign it shows right for iso8859-15 charset. if i try to choose on kde control center the same font with the same charset it doesn't show the euro sign (it seems to use a diferent charset). i've changed my default.kmap and put it to work with the portuguese layout (i've to do it on X also, because the PT layout for the mac doesn't map the keyboard right - and the default install of 8.2 maps a PC keyboard...) how can i configure fonts on KDE and make it use the fonts and charset that drakfont uses? on the mandrake 8.1, and out of X, the default charset allows the euro symbol to be show - on 8.2 release it no longer works. thanks -- Crie o seu email gratuito no mail.pt http://www.mail.pt

After disabling and rebooting, still no success. Still get No CD in /dev/cdrom from XMMS. Don't know what to tell you beyond that. I'm seeing essentially the same thing with this Presario. No message, but no files to play either, but grip and the KDE player work. Seems like xmms doesn't care for certain drives.
