[css-d] page check and help with placement
Hello everyone, Please check this image: http://www.thedogsonline.com/temp-site/new-showcase/images/example-image.jpg against this page: http://www.thedogsonline.com/temp-site/new-showcase/showcase-template.html http://www.thedogsonline.com/temp-site/new-showcase/showcase.css and you'll see that I'm having a little trouble moving the links section over underneath the title graphic and my banner image that I'm trying to use as a background image for my absolutely placed div is slightly off as well. [css-d] browser rendering?
Hello All, I'm having trouble getting my web page to view accurately across the different browsers. It appears accurate in Firefox in both my Mac and XP, but looking at this link to browser cam, you can see how the border to the flash slideshow gets drug all the way down the page. I also understand that in some browsers, the content gets pushed down below the left sided navigation. Any input would be appreciated. [css-d] unexpected Firefox behavior
Hi All, I'm seeing some expected behavior in Firefox and (gasp!) IE is displaying the page correctly. I've validated my page. As the code is written, I would expect the first two (vertical #3 and #4) images to float to the right and the third (horizontal #5) image would wrap around and end up under the larger main image. Browsercam shows IE and opera displaying it as expected and Firefox and Netscape are somehow bringing the third image up and over the top of the first two??? Take a look: http://www.browsercam.com/public.aspx?proj_id=382281 Any thoughts? [css-d] viewing sites in AOL
Hello all, I've encountered a problem for the first time. I have a client that uses AOL. She can't view a site I created (and double and triple checked it's existence). I have a feeling that she is using the search box to enter her URL, and as the site only a few days old, it's not listed in the SERPS yet. Can someone send me a screen shot of an AOL screen so I can send it to her with an arrow pointing to the right spot to enter a URL??? I have tried the trial and found it really useful, especially for IE versions not installed on my pc. At the moment, fundable.org are promoting group purchases of browsercam, which give a full year's subscription to a number of users at a much reduced price. I have started a group purchase of 25 1 year licences. This costs $40 a person, which is pledged but not taken until the target of 25 users is reached. There are currently 6 pledges, meaning there are another 19 places left. If anyone would like to join the group, please visit the following page. http://www.fundable.org/groupactions/groupaction.2007-08-23.6855155267/group action_view I know these groups tend to fill quite quickly, but it is possible to just start another group if there is more interest than there are places. [css-d] unwanted whitespace around li tags
http://www.clients.thedogsonline.com/DriscolsBlueGenes/index2.html I've zeroed the margins and padding on every element that I can think of, yet I'm still getting some whitespace between my list items. [css-d] clear property clears all floats?
Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong with this page? http://www.hotfrenchbulldogs.com/angus2.html My goal is to float the first image (angus-02) to the left with the text along side. Then I'd like the next image (angus-03) to clear the float from the first image and be centered below the image and text above it. [css-d] centering elements inside a div - float left or inline li's?
Hello all, I'm trying to get the dark brown boxes on this page to center inside the content div. I started out here: http://www.clients.thedogsonline.com/timepieces/index.html - using float left to line up the boxes. But that of course doesn't center them inside the cream colored content div. It just lines them up again the left wall. So then I went here: http://www.clients.thedogsonline.com/timepieces/index2.html - changing the boxes into list items. But as soon as I add my display: inline to my li, the boxes themselves just scatter in different directions. I can't figure out what I'm missing here! [css-d] Site check and IE hack needed?
Hello, I'm sure that I need some sort of box model IE hack to force IE to display the content along side the floated right column, but I don't know which one I need. I try to design as hack-less as possible, but IE makes it darn near impossible. Besides IE's destruction, could I get a site check of the index page as well as the Dog Products page? Also, could someone explain why my rounded rectangle box is sticking so far out from the right side? It's margins and padding are set at 0 and it's parent element (rt-col) only has a margin of 5 and 0 padding. (I'd remove the 5px margin, but I need it for the Dog Products page to keep the text below the BW photo off the border. http://www.frr.thedogsonline.com Erin Spangler http://www.thedogsonline.com Web Design and Hosting for the dog enthusiast __ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d IE7b2 testing hub -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=IE7 List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
[css-d] Still need IE help
Thanks, I added the html font-size that your recommended and I took the padding out of my body and used it instead in my paragraphs. I figured out why my rounded rectangle box didn't line up, but I'm still struggling with IE both in Windows and Mac. I've checked the site in Windows Netscape, Firefox, Opera, IE and Mac's Safari, Firefox, Opera and IE. Everything looks great except for IE on both systems. In Windows, it's forcing the content of the page below the right side floated column. In Mac it's not honoring the 75% width and the border for the divs is going under the right column. What a mess. Any suggestions to force IE to honor the float, or the page width, or whatever it's having problems with??? Re: [css-d] using a current class on page links
Thanks for the ideas, but I'm still not getting it to work. :( Actually, the more I think about it, it's probably not a good idea anyway as the five links on the right side all lead to the same page, just different locations using internal links. However, I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong in case I run into it again. Here is the page I'm working on: www.thedogsonline.com/highland/index.html and here is the CSS: http://www.thedogsonline.com/highland/highland-main.css Only the links on the right side of the page are active at the moment and the current class is attached to the What we believe link. Chris - I tried to access your site, but for some reason certain pages are blocked (and I mean pages like yours or www.Avon.com, not adult pages). It's weird, because I can take my laptop to a friends house and access the pages just fine. It must be something with Comcast. ANYWAY... I'll take a look at your page as soon as possible! Thanks! [css-d] using a current class on page links
Hello, I'm new to the list, enjoying all the information and would like to post a question of my own. I have two columns on either side of the main section throughout the site. Each are made up of unordered lists with links. I'd like to have some way for the visitor to identify which page they are on while browsing through.
