The fact is that anyone that can read these books and botany know what I have written
is true. I don't have time to scan the many books and articles I have read. I do not 
keep
a library of 'pot books' for your convenience online. If you do not have time to scan 
the
internet and find the information, why do I need to spend countless time to continue to
prove to someone who has not much discrimination left in my opinion. I seriously
question that marijuana is the only drug you use, my guess would by DMT (Ectasy)
which causes permanent brain damage based on research (look it up yourself if you
don't believe me).

LOL now, steve, i am not sure, but i was under the impression that there has
not been long enough studies done (because it is only recently that it has
become so widely used) on the use and effects of ecstacy. in saying that i
am not sure why you think that it causes permanent brain damage. you really
WILL have to show some sources for this claim as i am sceptical that the
work has been done.

Increasing the concentration say 50 percent of something a, that exists
at less that 0.5  percent, only gives you 0.75 percent. 

I wasn’t talking about increasing the concentration. The concentration
is irrelevant. I was talking about  increasing the number of flowers,
and therefore increasing the total amount of THC in the plant.  You
don’t need to increase the concentration of THC relative to the weight
of the flower. All you have to do is increase the percent by weight of
the plant that part of the plant in which the THC is concentrated. This
is done by increasing the number of flowers per plant.

This is  grade school mathematics here. What’s your problem? Didn’t you
go to grade school?

OK, let’s try a simple analogy. This is like pruning an apple tree to
produce more apples. If you don’t prune the tree, you get 100 apples per
tree. Each apple has 10 seeds. So you get 1000 seeds per tree. If you
prune the tree, you get 200 apples per tree. Each apple still has 10
seeds each. But the tree has 2000 seeds. The concentration of seeds per
apple has not increased. The number of seeds per tree has increased.

Some kinds of apple tree have 5 seeds per apple. Some kinds of apple tee
has 15 seeds per apple. But the equation remains the same. Grow twice as
many apples per tree and you get twice as many seeds per tree. Simple,
huh?

NOW, do you get it?


With genetic engineering, one day people will be growing one huge calyx
that looks  like a cactus :)

You don’t need genetic engineering to do this. All you have to do is to
grow the plants under lights. Start with a two inch  clone. Give it four
to six weeks of 18 hours a day of light, preferably yellow shifted. Then
give it two weeks of 12 hours a day, preferably red shifted. Presto, you
have a three inch stem with a single two inch flower.  This is how to
get the maximum weight of THC per square foot per cycle with the
shortest practical cycle.  Really, look it up. If you don’t want to
spend twenty bucks for a book, next time you’re at a magazine stand,
thumb through an issue of High Times. You’ll probably see a couple
pictures of these things because this is how professionals do it, the
smart ones, anyway.

lesser extent. This is why you get hi smoking the leaves.  If you
put the plants under certain conditions, the leaves will produce more THC
too.

Since it is mostly the leaves that people smoke, some growers ' top ' the
flowers to send more THC to the plant's leaves.

I know that this is done, but I am not sure how scientific it really is.

 Again if you are speaking of truth as an absolute, this is not true. Again
there is only one genus and that is cannabis with two distinct species. The
plant has been around humankind so much that there are no wild varieties and
the plants DNA has been modified by the relationship. The plant grows in male
and female separate plants, yes plants may exhibit both sexes also. And even
in the wild, pollination may take place from other variants and increase and
change the plant dramatically. Also like I have said there ARE age-old
growing, pruning and other newer technological innovations that allow one to
increase THC production.

Hemp and cannibas are the same plant. And yes one may get a Great Dane from a
Chihuahua, 'twould be painful and unlikely but not impossible.  It's called
zoology.

against are unconstitutional and are held in place by reticentia and colour
of law.

There is no legislative jurisdiction for prohibitory  possesional statues.
Marijuana is a plant given
to humankind by Nature's God. There is no legislative jurisdiction concerning
a personal relationship with one of nature's plants. Marijuana may be
regulated. Marijuana may be excise taxed. Marijuana prohibitory laws are void
'ab initio'.

To make alcohol illegal, which takes a manufacturing process, it took a
constitutional amendment to the US Constitution.

this is news to me- mosst growers will not do the above- why would they?
no-one smokes the leaves, unless they are new to growing. leaves from the
female (apart from the resin encrusted ones around the flowers) and
everything from the male plant is best just used for baking! you can get a
tumbler (like a stone polishing machine) and make your own hash out of them
too. topping the plant will, as nessie mentioned, incresae the amount of
flowerheads on the female plant, it will not force thc anywhere. and it is
tricky to know whether to top them or not- some strains will be bushy from
the word go and not need topping - but some do need it. one plant will only
produce a certain amount of thc- if you leave the plant to grow without
pruning you will have a lesser amount of fruit- but the fruit will be
stronger. if you top it then lots of fruit but less strong. that is a theory
anyway- not so sure that it is correct- there is contrasting evidence (that
i have seen anyway) about that argument.. so don't flame me if you read
something else somewhere! ;)

on the contrary- i was pointing out that YOU were making MY point. you
initially said that hemp was not cannabis- now you are saying that it IS.
put it this way- i can select the seeds from my (grown for fruit) plants and
grow somew more. usually i would select the young plants that are squat and
bushy and ditch the tall gangly ones. but this time i could save the gangly
girls and mate em with the gangly boys. over a period of time i will produce
`grown for flesh` plants instead of `grown for fruit` plants, the thc

i take your point about the government's blinkered view about cannabis. i
think the naivety  of the seperation rationale (although i can see why you
may wish to try it) is underlined by what made cannabis illegal in america
in the first place- logging companies needing to force out the hemp
producing companies. they embarked on a long and diseased campaign to
reinvent what people think cannabis is. it worked. i have not got the
references to hand- but i can get them if anyone is interested (i am sure
such stuff will be in ctrl archive?)
so i am kinda apathetic about this seperation thingy.
same as i am annoyed about the idea of producing laboratory cannabis to give
MS sufferers who find it relieves their pain for the simple reason that

will not

Again this may be true within a generation and may continue on for many in
nature or in an agriculture, but again any variant strain may be induced to
produce more thc. There are some physical techniques that may produce an
increase within specific plants during the first generation.
Again, there are only two generally recognized species of cannibas, with many
variants and crosses. And yes, there are variants that have subpar levels of
THC and yes one may produce generations of highly fiberous variants.
Especially if that is what one wishes to accomplish. But please do not tell
me that with some age-old husbandry, one may not—especially in time, also
produce spoforic THC level plants from the fiber seed stock.

The truth is if you get some wild ditchweed weed seeds which escaped from hemp
fields in when it was legal to grow hemp for fiber, it will not get you high no matter 
what
the growing conditions.

Of course no sane individual  would do that when there are high THC varieties to start
with. And using genetic engineering to make desirable characteristics even more
strongly expressed, such as total canabinoid levels and other aromatic compounds,
you could probably produce weed so potent that one toke would kill you or at least
severely incapacitate the typical individual. The military is probably already working 
on
it. They just spray a mist and everyone says 'Hey dude that music sounds cool, and
then just goes to sleep.' It would work great with mind control emf, etc.

If as you latter suggest, you breed over many many generations, you might get a really
high THC variety if you are lucky and live long enough or are very persistant or 
skillful.

In the mean time, get better seeds.  :)

Increasing the concentration say 50 percent of something a, that exists at less that 
0.5
percent, only gives you 0.75 percent. Canabidiol which inhibits the increased but very
small levels of THC in hemp bred and grown for fiber, is also concentrated in the
flowers, so increasing the amount of total THC in hemp will not make hemp of this kind
into the type known as marijuana (the Kind). This has about 7-15+ percent and who

 the US's DEA. Why does Health Canada allow hemp to
 be grown all across Canada while just a few kilometers south of the border
the DEA is
 actively spraying wild hemp in order to eradicate all

is a branch
 of the Government regulating health issues, getting it's
 budget to do just that. The DEA under which the hemp issue is big
business, $500
 million US last year alone given to the organization to

 short, by regulating the growth of the hemp industry in
 Canada the government is creating jobs for the farmers and for the
manufacturing

  HEMP VS. MARIJUANA
   Well now that you know how good the seed is, also how many uses there
 are for the
  plant, what really is the difference between hemp
   and marijuana?
  Marijuana is a tobacco-like substance produced by drying the leaves and
 flowering
  parts, or buds, of the Cannabis plant. These particular
  parts of the Cannabis plant are selected for illicit use due to the
 concentration of
  tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, in those particular areas of the
  plant. THC is the chemical present in marijuana that produces the drug
 user's
  psychoactive, or high, effect. Most wild
  marijuana found growing in Canada and the United States has a THC
 concentration of
  less 0.5 percent, compared to
  Colombian or Mexican varieties with a THC content ranging normally between
 3 to 7
  percent. An increase has been noted by
  law enforcement in recent years of large scale domestic production of
 marijuana
  containing much higher THC values,
  sometimes with a THC content as high as 25 percent.
  Marijuana is normally used in its dry form by rolling the same into
 cigarettes, or joints,
  and smoked. A wide variety of other
  smoking utensils, primarily in the form of pipes, are also used.
  Hemp on the other hand is a non-psychoactive cannabis variety. Originally
 there was
  no marijuana per say, just fields of hemp
  grown for fibre, oils and livestock feed as well as food for humans. When
 the slaves of
  the early 1800's began to realize that by
  smoking the flowering tops of the hemp plant they achieved a measure of
 relief from
  the horrible lives they were living as slaves! Thus began
the association between the evil weed marijuana and hemp.
 It was also the
  Mexicans who were smoking the weed before
battle, the song La Cucaracha being about a soldier who
 refused to march
  without some marijuana to smoke. Although
there are similarities, the differences are greater by far.

  Although many people think hemp and marijuana are the same it would be
 best to
  describe them as cousins. Hemp is meant as an industrial
  crop. Much like flax or cotton. Hemp can be used for many things, just

  uses page and see. Hemp is a wonder plant! If you leave
  aside the 40,000 + products that can be made from hemp the mere fact that
 it has
  survived the US War on drugs never ceases top amaze
  me. People though don't realize that countries unaffected by US foreign
 policy didn't
  stop growing hemp at all. Countries like Poland, Russia,
  India and China to just name a few. Fortunately for us we can now go to
 these peoples
  and regain the information we require to create our own
  hemp industry right here in North America.
  So why does the US have it's War on Drugs while Canada uses hemp to create
 a new
  industry within it's borders? There seems to be a
  definite difference in thinking between Health Canada's way of dealing
 with hemp and
  the US's DEA. Why does Health Canada allow hemp to
  be grown all across Canada while just a few kilometers south of the border
 the DEA is
  actively spraying wild hemp in order to eradicate all
  hemp from within it's borders?
  That of course is not a one two three answer but simply put Health Canada
 is a branch
  of the Government regulating health issues, getting it's
  budget to do just that. The DEA under which the hemp issue is big
 business, $500
  million US last year alone given to the organization to
  eradicate wild hemp and that says nothing of the marijuana enforcement
 dollars. So in
  short, by regulating the growth of the hemp industry in
  Canada the government is creating jobs for the farmers and for the
 manufacturing
  sector. If it were legalized in the states, the paramilitary like
  DEA would lose a lot of it's funding and also it would lose face. The
 Government there
  has worked long and hard, since 1937, to convince it's
  peoples that hemp

about what i am talking about. there are different varieties (strains) of
cannabis and depending on how it is developed over time it has certain
properties. take for instance the plant i am growing just now - it is early
bud variety. a strain developed in canada (i think) and it is 80% cannabis
indica and 20% cannabis sativa. it is a hybrid of the two varieties.
now, why should it be such a stretch of your imagination to accept that
maybe they are all the same plant but different varieties have different
characteristics? i mean, steve, you are not all that familiar with this
subject- so i do not understand why you are so quick to patronise
disagreement of your stance.

i appreciate the concern. (no sarcasm intended j.)
i am in no danger from being busted i don't think. the uk is in the midst of
changing the way they administer the laws regarding cannabis. even keith
halliwell (our own drug czar) has recently stated that he acknowledges that
cannabis is not a gateway drug- one that leads to heroin et al. in lambeth
within the last month police are now only cautioning for possession.
and generally there is a mood of live and let live growing- specifically
about cannabis.
buti know about the horrors of the drug war in the land-of-the-free
(copyright1776)

andif i do get busted, well, whatever, they aren't going to sieze my bank
account and, depending on the circumstances, a blind eye may be shown. if
not- then i get a small fine- or an official warning (seeing as how i have
no record).
but right enough j. people should be careful- however tenuous the trail from

Why farmers in Hermel have more faith in 'Gold' than government

At first, it looks like a cornfield. But step a few metres into the corn
and the stooks turn into little bright-green trees with spiky leaves, all
swaying in the breeze up the narrow mountain valley. When my guide started
gesticulating towards another, smaller field, I pleaded with him not to
point. There are gunmen aplenty in these hills  in the same dark Mercedes
they used in the civil war  but the man laughed.

You're perfectly safe with me here, he said.

That's when I realised this was his hashish field. You know what we are
doing? he asked. It's a kind of challenge from us to the Lebanese
government, a challenge from an impoverished people.

The Beirut government boasted back in 1994 that it had eradicated the drug
fields of Lebanon, burning and poisoning the thousands of acres of hashish
and the smaller though more lethal dunums of poppies that produced
Lebanon's heroin exports.

The Americans and the UN's anti-drugs units clapped their hands. We were
even invited to watch the army burn the fields. But today Lebanese gold
the finest hashish grown in the country  is back, albeit in comparatively
small quantities. This is not 1 per cent of what we used to grow in the
civil war, the Hermel landowner insisted, a point he rather spoiled by
inviting us to see a larger field a few miles down the road.

The air is clear up here, the midday sky pale-blue against the hot grey
mountains, a tributary of the Orontes river, green and cold, irrigating
the hashish.

What can we do? the man asks, opening his hands. We were promised aid
from the government in return for destroying our fields, new agricultural
projects, new crops to take the place of hashish. But my four sons and
three daughters, some of them married, are all living in my home because
they have no money for a house of their own. We live off the only one of
my sons who has a job  and he brings home just 500,000 Lebanese pounds
(243) a month. Which is true. The dealers make the money; the growers do
the work.

Nor does his assessment meet with any surprise in the office of the United
Nations Development Project chief technical adviser down the Bekaa Valley
in Baalbek. Mohamed Ferjani hands me a document he sent to his superiors
in 1994, the year the Lebanese announced the end of illicit crop
cultivation and the start of a programme to encourage alternative crops.

The absence of development efforts and international community support
will mean the return of illicit crops and border traffic, Ferjani had
presciently written. His voice rises as he explains his frustration.
There was no regional development plan and the government's programme for
the area was launched with high expectation on the part of the
beneficiaries [the farmers]  but with less than 6 per cent of the
estimated required funds.

After the civil war, the Hermel men at first believed in their new role as
legal farmers, cultivating tomatoes, tobacco, wheat and water melons. A
Hermel schoolteacher and his wife told me of the outcome of broken
promises: First the government gave us a ton of seed potatoes and then,
without warning, it became half a ton, the teacher said. Then many of
the families who applied for licences to grow tobacco were refused
permission. I don't know why.

On its near-desert plateau, Hermel got a bad name. It became known
unfairly, according to its 83-year-old mukhtar (town leader)  as a drugs
town and, because of the location of nearby Hizbollah guerrilla training
camps, as a town of terrorists and gunmen. Old Haj Asaad bin
Daibis-Jouheri, smoking a cigarette from a holder in his thin wiry hands,
tried to explain his town's story. We used to survive on wheat, barley,
chickpea growing, and we were simple people. Then there came schools and
new clothes and people needed money. People became more reliant on
earning. But we got no real help. People really go hungry here. And now
the media have started a war against this region.

Nor are things going to get better. At the time of the government's new
programme, Lebanon was an exporter of vegetables and fruit, especially to
the Gulf and Iraq, Mr Ferjani says. Then came the Second [1991] Gulf War
and Iraq was sanctioned and the Turks, Egyptians and others started
exporting to the Gulf. And the people here grew much poorer.

You only have to drive round the Hermel area to understand what this
means. There are patches of wheat and a few watermelon farms. But much of
the landscape I passed through was sand and rock and acres of rubbish, the
ground, even along the banks of the Orontes, blossoming with old plastic
bags and rusting car parts. Up in the hills, the gunmen follow all
visitors  they have no ideology, Mr Ferjani warned  and I suspect they
are working for men in Amsterdam rather than Beirut. So

bothe canabis. One is grown for the fiber. One is grown for its sticky leaves
and flowers.

The resin for Hash is collected on leather aprons then scraped off and
mixed with filler.

HEMP VS. MARIJUANA
 Well now that you know how good the seed is, also how many uses there are for the
plant, what really is the difference between hemp
 and marijuana?
Marijuana is a tobacco-like substance produced by drying the leaves and flowering
parts, or buds, of the Cannabis plant. These particular
parts of the Cannabis plant are selected for illicit use due to the concentration of
tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, in those particular areas of the
plant. THC is the chemical present in marijuana that produces the drug user's
psychoactive, or high, effect. Most wild
marijuana found growing in Canada and the United States has a THC concentration of
less 0.5 percent, compared to
Colombian or Mexican varieties with a THC content ranging normally between 3 to 7
percent. An increase has been noted by
law enforcement in recent years of large scale domestic production of marijuana
containing much higher THC values,
sometimes with a THC content as high as 25 percent.
Marijuana is normally used in its dry form by rolling the same into cigarettes, or 
joints,
and smoked. A wide variety of other
smoking utensils, primarily in the form of pipes, are also used.
Hemp on the other hand is a non-psychoactive cannabis variety. Originally there was
no marijuana per say, just fields of hemp
grown for fibre, oils and livestock feed as well as food for humans. When the slaves of
the early 1800's began to realize that by
smoking the flowering tops of the hemp plant they achieved a measure of relief from
the horrible lives they were living as slaves! Thus began
  the association between the evil weed marijuana and hemp. It was also 
the
Mexicans who were smoking the weed before
  battle, the song La Cucaracha being about a soldier who refused to 
march
without some marijuana to smoke. Although
  there are similarities, the differences are greater by far.

Although many people think hemp and marijuana are the same it would be best to
describe them as cousins. Hemp is meant as an industrial
crop. Much like flax or cotton. Hemp can be used for many things, just check out the
uses page and see. Hemp is a wonder plant! If you leave
aside the 40,000 + products that can be made from hemp the mere fact that it has
survived the US War on drugs never ceases top amaze
me. People though don't realize that countries unaffected by US foreign policy didn't
stop growing hemp at all. Countries like Poland, Russia,
India and China to just name a few. Fortunately for us we can now go to these peoples
and regain the information we require to create our own
hemp industry right here in North America.
So why does the US have it's War on Drugs while Canada uses hemp to create a new
industry within it's borders? There seems to be a
definite difference in thinking between Health Canada's way of dealing with hemp and
the US's DEA. Why does Health Canada allow hemp to
be grown all across Canada while just a few kilometers south of the border the DEA is
actively spraying wild hemp in order to eradicate all
hemp from within it's borders?
That of course is not a one two three answer but simply put Health Canada is a branch
of the Government regulating health issues, getting it's
budget to do just that. The DEA under which the hemp issue is big business, $500
million US last year alone given to the organization to
eradicate wild hemp and that says nothing of the marijuana enforcement dollars. So in
short, by regulating the growth of the hemp industry in
Canada the government is creating jobs for the farmers and for the manufacturing
sector. If it were legalized in the states, the paramilitary like
DEA would lose a lot of it's funding and also it would lose face. The Government there
has worked long and hard, since 1937, to convince it's
peoples that hemp is bad, why change now and lose all of the lies it's created!

HEMP vs. MARIJUANA

The word hemp is English for a number of varieties of the cannabis plant, 
particularly
the varieties like industrial hemp that were bred over time for industrial uses such 
as
fuel, fiber, paper, seed, food, oil, etc.

The term marijuana is of Spanish derivation, and was primarily used to describe
varieties of cannabis that were more commonly bred over time for medicinal and
recreational purposes, like cannabis indica , and certain strains of cannabis sativa.

In fact, when all forms of hemp were made illegal in the early part of the last 
century, it
was used in the majority of the prescription drugs then sold in America.  That was
