One interesting note, as I went over this text to configure it for a posting...I noticed that at least three (3) not's were left out of the text by I assume an intentional virus, and this, of course, altered the point of the statements completely, making them worthless...the sentences then carried completely the wrong points. This may be a very clever way of discrediting otherwise good emails and writings, imagine that the feds/cults have a way to alter a targeted person's emails so as to ruin the point of their writings by removing key words like not. The surge of opposition evaded their political radar screens. They had either ignored the growing resistance or pretended it did not exist. Once the depth of popular sentiment against war became impossible to disregard, the various factions of bourgeois opinion makers swung into action. They had now to confront the reality of a nascent mass movement emerging outside of their control. On the one side are political thugs like right-wing commentator Michael Kelly, who launch witch- hunting attacks on the communist Workers World Party, which played a prominent role in organizing the protests. The political message is clear. The Times wants an anti-war movement that does not go beyond the confines of the existing social order. The newspapers editors are alerting sections of the middle class: you can have your rallies and protests, but not on the basis of anti-capitalism. The Times editors are arguing for a protest movement that accepts certain basic premises above all, the defense of US imperialism and its right to dominate the world. They fear the development of a movement that links the struggle against war to critical social issues in America and makes a direct appeal to the working class. We note that nearly two weeks into the terror, police are first checking into those with sniper training. The experts are discounting international terrorism because the number of deaths are contained, no massive strike for large numbers of casualties, a believed signature of genuine terrorism. This is because they are missing that the terrorism TO DATE HAS BEEN A MESSAGE. Now, it may escalate. They also seemed pretty slow in admitting to two sniper(s) preferring the psychotic scenario of one very sick person committing the crime. Now, finally they realize it has to be more than one. Moreover, once the message avenue is accepted, then it also ties into the type of people who are willing to shoot a child. Again, our initial perception was people paying America back for the deaths of children due to US policies. We have had our necks on the block on this matter since the first, and while slow, the experts are now confirming a disciplined trained person, which was obvious to us from the first. We continue to believe that the message will be amplified, or the terrorism further expanded, if we see two shootings within minutes in two different areas. Remember aside from the chaos and economic impact, if it is was we say, and remember it occurred literally hours after we expected it (formally for the first time since 9-11), one other critical message is that the US is one vulnerable country, inept, consistent the paper tiger image China paints for the US throughout the world. This message will be heightened should the two contemporary shootings take place, leaving the federal and state authorities which major egg on their faces. If we also are correct, these sniper(s) will not be taken alive, and may take many with them. We must also note that on the Sunday morning news shows there was absolute no discussion at all whatsoever regarding either the Bali terrorism and the Pakistani elections. Americans should cry as much over the reality of a controlled media as with the sniper(s), because such control in the long run will claim massive lives. So much meaningless news on the sniper(s) spending millions upon millions of man hours of production and audience on nothing meaningful and failing to discuss the true implications thereof. As a result, then speak about Bali and Pakistan two news stories carrying incredible significance in the view of the congressional vote this week. Analysis: On June 25, 2002, we wrote that President Bush in his Rose Garden remarks on June 24, 2002, took the battle from Israel and the PLO and made it one between the New World Order and Islam. We wrote that Oslo united the Arab world against Israel, and now, from his remarks, President Bush united the Islamic world against the United States and the West. Further, to make it crystal clear, President Bush issued on September 20, 2002, the historical National Security Strategy document, letting not only the Islamic world but the entire world know that new US policy was to pursue any perceived enemy at any time to undermine the enemy and colonize it to mold it into the New World Order image for that previous sovereign state. Moreover, we went deep into the interpretation to show that Israel itself was a successful target of the New World Order strategy and that with its controlled leadership and infiltrated infrastructure, Israel followed New World Order directives, to set up the Middle East region for New World Order domination and control. Saddam Hussein could have been one way or another removed from office, but he was kept around for the day the New World Order crew needed to capture Iraqi oil and establish a long term residency in the Middle East. -Caveat Lector- Swans Let's Step Out Of The Box For A Moment, Shall We?A reply To The Anticonspiratorialists by Jon Phalen June 3, 2002 [We strongly recommend that you first read the Words of Caution regarding this piece, by Gilles d'Aymery, Swans' editor and publisher.] Sharing my deep skepticism about 9-11 with others, I can't help but notice the way some people reach frantically for ways to make a conspiracy scenario as implausible as possible. The narrowest and most literal definition of the term 'conspiracy' is easily their favorite device. Bringing it to bear on this argument, they divert it directly into their favorite cul-de-sac: "too many people would have to know, and there's no way it could be kept quiet." Since this 'too many people' premise isn't logically inevitable, and since the hemorrhaging of the official story actually seems to be deepening their convictions, those convictions appear to be a product of denial: these unfortunates have blinded themselves to the possibility that America's entire civic culture, a thing unto which they have staked their lives and their hopes, might actually be rotten to the core; a seething mire of duplicity. Sad thing is, anyone old enough to remember Watergate shouldn't need reminding. People are free to squarely face the conspiratorial nature of politics and then mentally accommodate it. Indeed, this freedom is inalienable, but its practice requires rigorous thought; always an unpopular option, especially when it forces a realization that one's role in this world has been that of a tragic fool. What's more, choosing to be aware necessitates a dismal choice: to turn away from the crass bribery that has seduced us all, OR to commit oneself and one's children to a life of stark hypocrisy and spiritual bankruptcy. Far better to stay the easy course of denial and facultative stupidity, a.k.a. conservatism, than to grapple with these hideous realities -- or so they tell themselves. Subconsciously, of course. I wish they could bring themselves to realize that the 'too many people' premise doesn't have to be true for 9-11; viable conspiracy theory does not require a huge plot between Osama, Bush, the corporations, the media, etc., etc. If there is foul play on the part of our government, it most likely originated among a tightlipped cadre of extremists in the CIA, or perhaps in some covert group we've never heard of, and these people may have acted on their own. If they were following orders, those orders just as likely came down from some corporate enclave as from the Executive Branch. Anyway, assume for the moment that some high priesthood of deranged spooks was actually behind 9-11. They would have been stupid had they failed to keep their plan as simple and secretive as possible -- and you can bet these people aren't stupid. Instead of weaving a gigantic web of conspiracy, as appearances would have it, they could pull all this off in a highly contained manner: a) install a few True Believers in the maintenance departments of a couple major airline companies b) have them wire some very interesting 'black boxes' into the avionics systems of a few planes c) kill them d) wait e) when circumstances provide a logistical and political window of opportunity, remotely activate the black boxes (actually radio-control interfaces), and then take control of the airplanes using flight simulators as input devices. f) fly the planes into buildings. g) if necessary, the technical team needed to complete this mission can now be liquidated. Mission accomplished. According to some sources, AWACS planes can remotely commandeer other airplanes without any need for an installed device, making this scenario even more feasible. Furthermore, this use of AWACS technology supposedly wipes out the contents of the second plane's flight data recorder. When authorities recovered the data recorder of the plane shot down over Pennsylvania, it was found to be blank. Incidentally, this is the only flight recorder the media has mentioned, of the eight such devices on the four planes. Where the hell are the others? This doesn't have to mean the FAA and the entire media are 'in on it.' This deafening silence is just the sort of thing I would expect from both parties if the contents of the recovered recorders proved inconsistent with the official line of bullshit -- a line that has become the establishment's sacred dogma. This seems to be impossible. Scientists of Bashkir State University have found indisputable proofs of an ancient highly developed civilizations existence. The question is about a great plate found in 1999, with picture of the region done according to an unknown technology. This is a real relief map. Todays military has almost similar maps. The map contains civil engineering works: a system of channels with a length of about 12,000 km, weirs, powerful dams. Not far from the channels, diamond-shaped grounds are shown, whose destination is unknown. The map also contains some inscriptions. Even numerous inscriptions. At first, the scientists thought that was Old Chinese language. Though, it turned out that the subscriptions were done in a hieroglyphic-syllabic language of unknown origin. The scientists never managed to read it The more I learn the more I understand that I know nothing, the doctor of physical and mathematical science, professor of Bashkir State University, Alexander Chuvyrov admits. Namely Chuvyrov made that sensational find. Already in 1995, the professor and his post-graduate student from China Huan Hun decided to study the hypothesis of possible migration of Old Chinese population to the territory of Siberia and Ural. In an expedition to Bashkiria, they found several rock carvings done in Old Chinese language. These finds confirmed the hypothesis of Chinese migrants. The subscriptions were read. They mostly contained information about trade bargains, marriage and death registration. Though, during the searches, notes dated the 18th century were found in archives of Ufa governor-general. They reported about 200 unusual stone slabs which were situated not far from the Chandar village, Nurimanov Region. Chuvyrov and his colleague at once decided that slabs could be connected with Chinese migrants. Archive notes also reported that in 17th-18th centuries, expeditions of Russian scientists who investigated Ural Region had studied 200 white slabs with signs and patterns, while in early 20th century, archaeologist A.Schmidt also had seen some white slabs in Bashkiria. This made the scientist start the search. In 1998, after having formed a team of his students, Chuvyrov launched the work. He hired a helicopter, and the first expedition carried a flying around of the places where the slabs were supposed to be. Though, despite all efforts, the ancient slabs were not found. Chuvyrov was very upset and even thought the slabs were just a beautiful legend. The luck was unexpected. During one of Chuvyrovs trips to the village, ex-chairman of the local agricultural council, Vladimir Krainov, came to him (apropos, in the house of Krainovs father, archaelogist Schmidt once staid) and said: Are you searching for some stone slabs? I have a strange slab in my yard. At first, I did not took that report seriously, - Chuvyrov told. Though, I decided to go to that yard to see it. I remember this day exactly: July 21, 1999. Under the porch of the house, the slab with some dents lied. The stab was so heavy that we together could not take it out. So I went to the city of Ufa, to ask for help. In a week, work was launched in Chandar. After having dug out the slab, the searchers were stroke with its size: it was 148 cm high, 106 cm wide and 16 cm thick. While it weighed at least one ton. The master of the house made special wooden rollers, so the slab was rolled out from the hole. The find was called Dashkas stone (in honour of Alexander Chuvyrovs granddaughter born the day before it) and transported to the university for investigation. After the slab was cleaned of earth, the scientists could not entrust to their eyes... Does the fact that you come from a family some of whose members went through the Jewish holocaust give you a certain immunity to write a book such as "The Holocaust Industry"? This book could not have been written by someone who was not Jewish. No doubt the fact that my father was a survivor of the Nazi holocaust has provided me additional immunity. But despite all the "immunity," I have been subjected to a frightful personal and professional assault. Indeed in the end I lost my job at the university where I had worked for ten years sacked.html, although I always received the highest marks in student evaluations in my department, and I published four books in the last five years. But there is another point in response to your question. It is that much of what I mentioned in my book would only be known to someone "on the inside." Other than Nazi holocaust survivors and their families no one was aware that the "holocaust" industry was stealing compensation money for the massacres of the holocaust. Most people really believed that the funds went to the "needy victims of the holocaust." I also was aware as I was growing up, how a large number of the Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe falsified their past, claiming that they were Nazi holocaust survivors when in fact they were not. This falsification both amused and disgusted my father. How have the media in the United States and Europe treated your book? My book was a best seller throughout Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. The British newspaper The Guardian serialized it, and every major British newspaper devoted at least a full page to a discussion of it. The French newspaper Le Monde devoted two full pages to it in addition to its lead editorial. The most enthusiastic response came from Germany where 130,000 copies were sold in three weeks after publication. But in contrast to the clamor that my book aroused in Europe, and it was a deafening clamor, it met only silence in the United States, a deafening silence! And once it became impossible to ignore the enthusiastic response to the book in Europe, America's main newspapers, such as The New York Times began publishing hysterical articles describing the book and its author as "anti-Semitic." These articles actually killed the book in America. How did the Zionist and Jewish lobby receive it? The policy of these lobbies was, to put it simply, to ignore the book. There is an old saying among some publishers: "bad publicity is better than no publicity!" So they resolved not to give the book any publicity, even bad. But the contents of my book in the end leaked out via the Internet and word of mouth. I believe I caused great damage to the Holocaust industry in the matter of compensation paid to survivors of the holocaust. Until my book was published, everybody (in the west) believed, including people on the left and those who usually criticized the lobbies, that the payment of compensation to survivors of the holocaust is a just cause. Now it has become very well known that these compensations are an extortion plot: there is a gang of traveling salesmen that make off with billions of billions of dollars for themselves by exploiting the sufferings of the Jews during the Second World War. When you talk about the Zionist lobbies exploiting the memory of the holocaust in order to support Israel how do you explain their success in that inside the United States when that country does not share with Europe the famous guilt complex regarding the Jews? The Jewish and Zionist lobbies in the United States have succeeded basically because they served the interest of the American ruling elite. I don't believe that those lobbies could have succeeded if support of Israel conflicted with American interests. It is important here to remember that the holocaust industry burst out after the June War of 1967 when Israel became a "strategic reserve" for the United States. Before June 1967 there was hardly any mention of the holocaust in American Jewish life, not to mention American life in general. As soon as Israel became a "strategic reserve" for the United States the holocaust established that it was an excellent weapon for silencing criticism directed at Israel. Later, American Jews used the holocaust to silence any criticism directed against them, and they became more conservative in the political sense. Along those lines I would like to ask you, to what extent do the American elites use the Zionist lobbies as an excuse for adopting policies in the Middle East that serve precisely those elites? When Britain issued the Balfour Declaration the official explanation was that they wanted to support the right of a suffering people to self-determination. But the fact is that British internal records show that the British were hoping to use a Jewish state in Palestine entirely to rely on it to protect British interests in the Middle East, especially the Suez Canal and the land route to India. The Bay of Pigs invasion failed, 1500 mercenaries were held prisoner, and later freed in exchange for $10 million worth of food and medicine. (In spite of the Bay of Pigs debacle, George H. Bush became CIA director in 1976.) Disappointed with the poor performance of his first-born as a "007", Prescott Bush was consoled by the success George Bush was having in the petroleum business. Prescott applauded the breadth of vision of his son George, during the 1960s, when he became friends with an Arab contractor who frequently traveled to Texas, presenting himself after awhile at local high society get-togethers: Muhammad bin Laden. In 1968, unfortunately, while flying over Bush's oil fields, Muhammad bin Laden died in a Texas airplane crash. The ties between the Bush and bin Laden families however remained established. Heavy drinking, however, prevented Prescott's grandson from becoming a good pilot. Papa Bush encouraged his son to found, in the 1970s, his own petroleum enterprise, Arbusto Energy. (Arbusto means "Bush", in Spanish.) Thanks to international contacts which his father had maintained in the CIA, George W. Bush obtained investment money from Khaled bin Mafouz and Salem bin Laden, the eldest of 52 sons left by the deceased Muhammad bin Laden. Khaled bin Mafouz was the banker for the Saudi royal family and was married to one of Salem bin Laden's sisters. These close family connections permitted Mafouz to be appointed president of Blessed Relief, the Arab organization in which worked one of Salem bin Laden's brothers, Osama bin Laden. Today, however, is a very different day in so many ways that I have decided to share with you a message I received. As some of you may know, I served as legal counsel at the Christic Institute during the 1980s. The major case we pursued was a racketeering case against the private, off-the-shelf, covert operators conducting the Iran-contra operation [orchestrated by George Bush]. During that litigation, I got a good look at the dark side of the U.S. democratic experiment. To summarize that perspective, the commitment to democracy unleashed great creative potential for innovation that in turn produced massive wealth. The commitment to democracy then got lost in the pursuit of materialism. The large corporations received recognition in the law as persons, their contributions polluted the democratic process, the government became an extension of their blind advocacy of an unlimited right to devour the Earth's resources, and the military-industrial-intelligence complex became a second government within the government holding more power than the publicly presented government. To preserve and enhance the national security state, things were done supposedly in the interest of the American people that the people knew nothing about and not have approved had they known. Death squads, assassinations, subversion of indigenous movements, overthrow of democratically elected governments, and other manifestations of the national security state agenda took place out of sight. Only occasionally did these actions surface, such as Cointelpro conducted by the FBI to discredit and destroy dissenting groups. A dream image captured the essence of what was happening. Now we've discovered that the start of the environmental problems (in the sea) go way back before that. The notion of the native peoples of having a benign impact on the environment in their vicinity has been challenged, said Charles Peterson of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The general feeling is that there were dramatic effects locally and not a prudent predation by ancient humans long before the Colonial and industrial eras. Based on combined research of 19 scientists on four continents, the study shows that careless and excessive harvesting of food from the sea as early as 10,000 years ago caused changes in the ecosystems and made the environment more easily damaged by the wholesale exploitation of modern man. James Acheson, a marine scientist at the University of Maine, called the research a breath of fresh air in the understanding of marine ecology and how it has been affected by humans. They are pointing toward a new way to look at the oceans, said Acheson. They show that human predation preceded all the other damage done to the oceans. In the study, researchers analyze the effect that the loss of species has ha d on the intricate food web of coastal areas in the Americas, Australia and Europe. Included was an analysis of kitchen debris left by ancient humans; reports on the abundance of sea life by explorers in the 18th and 19th centuries; and modern wildlife population studies. It is astonishing the effect we have had on the Earth, said Peterson. Bjorndal said algae now choking and killing many coral reefs in the Caribbean can be traced to the slaughter more than 3,000 years ago of the green sea turtle and to other animals that grazed on the sea plant. She said a study of kitchen refuse piles from the Amerindian peoples who first settled the Caribbean showed that they depended heavily on the sea turtle for food. The animals were easy to catch as they regularly lumbered ashore to lay eggs on the semitropical islands. Bjorndal said an analysis of the kitchen refuse piles at ancient island village sites shows that at first a large amount of the meat the people lived on was sea turtle. But evidence of turtle slaughter in the kitchen refuse grew less and less with the passage of time until, finally, The turtles disappear entirely. It is clear the nesting colonies were wiped out, she said. With the turtle gone, the people turned to other food, such as the large parrot fish, a meaty dweller of the reef. Those, too, eventually became scarce, as did other plant-eating animals. We reduced the system to one plant-eating species, a type of sea urchin, said Bjorndal. The system continued to function, but it was incredibly vulnerable. That was shown when, starting 15 years ago, disease wiped out the sea urchin, she said. Algae quickly exploded in growth, smothering many coral reefs. This in turn, doomed many species that lived in the reef. This was a process was set in motion when the (native people) killed off the sea turtle, Bjorndal said. Another example cited by the researchers is the loss of vast kelp forests that once grew thickly offshore along North America's east and west coasts. Overharvesting of the sea otter, starting some 2,500 years ago, led to a huge population of sea urchins, the otter's principal food. The sea urchins grazed away the kelp forests, causing a steep decline in fish populations. In modern times, the sea otter has been protected from human hunters, but now, because of mankind, it has a new enemy -- the killer whale. Peterson said the killer whale normally dines on seals. The population of seals has fallen dramatically over the last 200 years, however, both because of fur hunters and later overfishing by humans that deprived the seals of food. Since there are few seals to feed on, the killer whale now preys on the sea otter. This in turn allows the sea urchin to graze down the kelp

Perhaps it will help to remember that worldwide pollution standards are in the offing - so that variances and other deals can be afforded to deserving corporations and countries all around the globe, where every species of animal and human lives. Just think of how much of an improvement in health and welfare that will be and you can truly have hope. As for the animal species loss, well just about every metropolitan area all around the globe has them for us to see - safely behind bars, screens and glass - so one can rest assured that we are indeed saving the animals and not hurting them. Israel owes its existence to the UN and it signed the Partitioning plan that gave it the original land it possessed. Israel should respect the UN as its Godfather. The United Nations Human Rights Commission, the Physicians for Human Rights, Amnesty International, and the Israeli Peace Makers, have all condemned Israel for killing many Palestinians, for destroying Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese homes and villages; for shooting and killing ambulance drivers while picking up the wounded; for refusing food and medicine for victims, and for torture and imprisonment of Palestinians, many of them children, without trial. Disarmed Palestinians are no match for Israeli defense forces using U.S. made helicopter gunships, missiles, rockets, napalm and tanks, all paid for with U.S. Foreign Aid. Palestinians, living in disarmed ghettos called resettlement camps, have responded in desperation with suicide bombers. Nurit Peled Elhanan, a Jewish mother whose daughter was killed by a suicide bomber, told her story in the September 1997 Atlanta Constitution. This mother is a Professor at a Hebrew University. She blames the Israel government for her daughter's death, not the Palestinians. She said Israel breeds the terrorists, they start them, they fertilize them by invading and destroying their property, starving them, humiliating them, oppressing them and when you put people in holding pens and force them to grow up in garbage, this is what happens. She further stated, We are the strong ones, we have the air force and the army. This brave mother invited Palestinians to her daughter's funeral. She is a relative of the late General Mattitiyahu Peled. He helped form the Israeli Defense Forces, but resigned in 1969, upset that Israel was not trying to make peace with the Palestinians. Columnist Charley Reese asks, How can any decent person argue that Jews -- 50 years after the fact -- deserve compensation for property lost to the Nazi government but Palestinian refugees, whose property was taken by the Israel government have no right to compensation? The shrine honours 2.6 million Japanese soldiers killed in wars over the past century. Tens of thousands people make the pilgrimage to Yasukuni each year, including small, formalised groups that wear old war uniforms as they march through the compound to pay their respects. Former Imperial Navy officer Mitsuo Okada leads one of these groups. Okada, who now runs an imported car sales business in Fukushima, northeast of Tokyo, spoke with Takehiko Nomura about his wartime experience, Japan's Constitution and politics. = Q-What made you start marching in Yasukuni? I used to go to there every year by myself. In the 1980s, I remember seeing groups of people in naval uniforms marching, but they looked weird because they didn't know what Navy officers were supposed to wear on land. They should have had things like army-surplus canteens and haversacks. I heard the emperor [Hirohito] was a person of virtue and fine character, but you can't protect a country with character. Also, I saw one character who looked like a seaman carrying the naval ensign. But that would never happen. Carrying the flag is an honourable thing to do, and is always assigned to a senior officer. Anyone familiar with naval tradition would think those marchers were part of a comedy show. When my old friends invited me to join their marching group in 1990, I donated some gear so that we could at least look the part. I created the current group in 1996. Whenever we march, visitors to the shrine come up to us and say how much we look like naval officers. I have made many new friends as a result. Q-As you know, last week Kajima (a major Japanese building contractor) agreed to establish a $4.6 million fund for relatives of Chinese labourers forced to work at a Japanese mine during World War II. I don't know whether Japan forcibly brought Chinese and Koreans to this country to work or not. But as you know, the Soviet Union violated the non-aggression treaty with Japan, moved into Manchuria and uprooted about 600,000 Japanese [who were officers, soldiers and paramilitary personnel]. Japan is more like a dependent state of the United States. And they took them to places like Siberia, where they became forced labourers. Some of them died there. So if we have to compensate the Chinese, then the Soviets should be made to pay as well. As for comfort women, they say Japan forcibly brought as many women as possible from the Korean Peninsula. I've read some of these women's diaries and find it hard to believe. One woman wrote, "There was no fighting on Sundays." That's ridiculous. There were a lot of blatant lies in those diaries. I think these women are just trying to get money. It's shameless. I say dump [the constitution] down the drain and let's create our own. What about the Japanese women who worked as comfort women? In some cases their parents sold them, while others did it themselves for the money. But you don't hear them bleating about compensation. Q-But there is a lot of evidence and witnesses... I say there were no comfort women as such. When you say comfort women, that means the master of a whorehouse takes his women to places like Nanking to work. There were Japanese, Taiwanese and Koreans. That was their job at that time. Q-Speaking of Japan's Constitution, an increasing number of politicians are advocating constitutional amendment. I'm opposed to any constitutional amendment. The one we have now is MacArthur's constitution. I say dump it down the drain and let's create our own. Q-Do you believe Japan should be in a state of military readiness? Is there any independent country without a military? Japan is more like a dependent state of the United States, spending taxpayers' money on the US military. We should get out of this dependency. Q-Why do you think Japan got into World War II? It was a ridiculous war. We got into it because of the Constitution of the Empire of Japan [promulgated in 1889]. Hirofumi Ito [who became Japan's first prime minister in 1885 and a member of the privy council in 1888] drafted the flawed constitution that gave the emperor enormous power. The Japanese public should directly elect a head of state with broad powers. I believe that he drafted this constitution because he wanted to prevent the shogunate from re-emerging. After the Meiji emperor passed away, more and more problems emerged. As you know the Taisho emperor (his successor) suffered cerebral meningitis. Disco Inferno A recent newspaper article, which I'd assume is from API or UPI, and was buried on the 18th page of my local paper, totally floored me. I'll quote the title verbatim : "Investor allowed to open disco near Auschwitz ". Anyone with a decent knowledge of the WWII era would have to be appalled. For those young enough to have had high school history courses that skip WWII in favor of, say, the 1960's civil rights movement, I should point out that Auschwitz was the site of the most notorious of the Nazi death camps. Approximately 1 million people were killed there, either by injection of phenol into the heart or by cyanide gas. Some of the camp buildings and structures have been preserved, more or less as a memorial to those killed, and as a reminder to future generations of what happens when goons like Janet Reno are given unchecked power. It is, or was, unthinkable that anyone would try to exploit the site for commercial profit. The Polish name for the town is Oswiecim, the name that appears on current European road maps. The town's administrator is Adam Bilski, who is quoted in the article about the disco : "One can consider whether it is moral or not, but that's another matter." Well, duh, I have considered it and I think it sucks. Just recently I flew to Warsaw on unrelated business ( arranging for the purchase of surplus small arms and ammunition for my employer ) and wound up having a few days to kill at the conclusion of the negotiations. I decided to rent a car and drive to Oswiecim to see whether the club really existed and, if so, to try to learn more about it. Folks, it is not a pretty picture. The disco is located in a former tannery that employed slave labor from the camp. Although the club's Polish name, Dyskoteka Smierc, is on a neon sign on the roof, what caught my eye was a reproduction wrought iron gate with the inscription ( in German ) "Arbeit Macht Frei" over the gateway. Knowledgeable readers will recognize this as the same inscription on the actual front gate to the death camp which has been preserved all these years. A loose translation is "Through Work, Freedom". I arrived in the late evening in time for the second floor show. ( Two floor shows each evening intermix with the usual DJ and public dancing.) This floor show was the most tasteless display of public obscenity I've ever witnessed. The featured "musical" group this evening used the English name "Nat Negritti and His Nasty Nigger Nazis". I wish I was making this up. The group consisted of 5 extremely faggy black males who wore nothing but crotchless lavender leotards, Nazi armbands, and SS Officers caps. Between mincing and strutting about the stage they belted out horribly accurate versions of 1970's disco vomit like "YMCA" and "Disco Inferno". The latter number included a stage set where effeminate young Jewish boys ( local talent ? ) were fed into a mock oven by members of the band. Needless to say, I left early. Next morning I was moaning about the revolting act to a Polish associate. He reproached me saying that Americans were the largest investors in the club. I couldn't believe it, and asked him to get a listing of the investors backing the club. ( In Poland, a small bribe will buy any government or banking information. ) That afternoon, he gave me a computer printout with 20 or so corporate/investment group names on it which I had time to glance at on my flight back to the U.S. The printout did not list the dollar amounts of the investments, just names and addresses. All but one were European. The one U.S.entity was T.E.I of Little Rock, Arkansas. It didn't ring a bell, so I forgot about it for a couple of weeks. Then I got a tip from a more or less disreputable private investigator from Arkansas I'd done business with before, telling me I should check out T.E.I. Well, hold onto your hats. T.E.I. turns out to be Tyson's Entertainment Investments, an Arkansas company headed by Tyson of Tyson's Chicken fame - the same puke who made Hillary's cattle futures account blossom illegally. After much pain and agony I obtained a list of the top 5 shareholders in T.E.I. ( drum roll ): 1) Donald Tyson 2) Hillary Rodham Clinton 3) Steven Spielberg 4) Barbara Streisand 5) Jesse Jackson, Jr. Have the Clintons no shame at all ? What would Hillary's N.Y. Jewish constituents-to-be think of her latest investment ? The other 4 people on the list are known crooks, moral defectives, and flatulent gasbags, but surely the N.Y. citizenry deserve more from their future Senator, no ? The important debate on global warming under UN auspices provides
but a
partial picture of climate change; in addition to the devastating

greenhouse gas emissions on the ozone layer, the World's climate
can now be
modified as part of a new generation of sophisticated "non-lethal
weapons."
Both the Americans and the Russians have developed capabilities to
manipulate
the World's climate.
In the US, the technology is being perfected under the
High-frequency Active
Aural Research Program (HAARP) as part of the ("Star Wars")
Strategic Defence
Initiative (SDI). Recent scientific evidence suggests that HAARP is
fully
operational and has the ability of potentially triggering floods,
droughts,
hurricanes and earthquakes.
HAARP is a mass destructive weapons - not part of any negotiations
From a military standpoint, HAARP is a weapon of mass destruction.
Potentially, it constitutes an instrument of conquest capable of
selectively
destabilising agricultural and ecological systems of entire
regions.
While there is no evidence that this deadly technology has been
used, surely
the United Nations should be addressing the issue of "environmental
warfare"
alongside the debate on the climatic impacts of greenhouse gases.
Despite a vast body of scientific knowledge, the issue of
deliberate climatic
manipulations for military use has never been explicitly part of
the UN
agenda on climate change. Neither the official delegations nor the
environmental action groups participating in the Hague Conference
on Climate
Change (CO6) (November 2000) have raised the broad issue of
"weather warfare"
or "environmental modification techniques (ENMOD)" as relevant to
an
understanding of climate change.
The clash between official negotiators, environmentalists and
American
business lobbies has centered on Washington's outright refusal to
abide by
commitments on carbon dioxide reduction targets under the 1997
Kyoto
protocol.(1) The impacts of military technologies on the World's
climate are
not an object of discussion or concern. Narrowly confined to
greenhouse
gases, the ongoing debate on climate change serves Washington's
strategic and
defense objectives.
"Weather warfare"
World renowned scientist Dr. Rosalie Bertell confirms that "US
military
scientists · are working on weather systems as a potential weapon.
The
methods include the enhancing of storms and the diverting of vapor
rivers in
the Earth's atmosphere to produce targeted droughts or floods."(2)
Already in the 1970s, former National Security advisor Zbigniew
Brzezinski
had foreseen in his book "Between Two Ages" that:
"Technology will make available, to the leaders of major nations,
techniques
for conducting secret warfare, of which only a bare minimum of the
security
forces need be appraised... [T]echniques of weather modification
could be
employed to produce prolonged periods of drought or storm. "
Marc Filterman, a former French military officer, outlines several
types of
"unconventional weapons" using radio frequencies. He refers to
"weather war,"
indicating that the U.S. and the Soviet Union had already "mastered
the
know-how needed to unleash sudden climate changes (hurricanes,
drought) in
the early 1980s." (3) These technologies make it "possible to
trigger
atmospheric disturbances by using Extremely Low Frequency (ELF)
radar
[waves]." (4)
A simulation study of future defense "scenarios" commissioned for
the US Air
Force calls for: "US aerospace forces to 'own the weather' by
capitalizing on
emerging technologies and focusing development of those
technologies to
war-fighting applications." From enhancing friendly operations or
disrupting
those of the enemy via small-scale tailoring of natural weather
patterns to
complete dominance of global communications and counterspace
control,
weather-modification offers the war fighter a wide-range of
possible options

The scenario described to me is the following: When the PLO first ordered its police and peasants to attack IDF soldiers, Barak issued a command unheard of in any army: soldiers were to wait until fired on to retaliate. Despite years of politically obedient appointments, many in the IDF's high command were highly unhappy with Barak's policy, believing it would lead to Israeli casualties and a prolonging of the conflict. These officers became increasingly frustrated when forbidden to use force to save a soldier slowly bleeding to death at Joseph's Tomb and later when the shrine was abandoned. The refusal to react to the kidnapping of three soldiers on the Lebanese border by Hizbullah turned the frustration into anger. The turning point was the sadistic lynching of two soldiers in Ramallah. The IDF high command issued the following operational request to the Defence Minister, Ehud Barak: In retaliation for attacks against IDF soldiers by members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Tanzim, or Fatah, the Israeli Air Force would use 2000 pound bombs to turn their headquarters and other facilities into rubble. Second, the IDF had filmed Fatah policemen sniping at their soldiers and an Italian television crew had captured the murderers of the lynched soldiers on film. The IDF had identified the murderers and wanted them hunted down and killed immediately. Barak turned the recommendation down and instead issued a directive sending helicopters against insignificant targets only after the PLO had been given ample warning to abandon them. Certain officers now understood that Barak was under international orders not to utililize the IDF to defend the nation or avenge the murders of its citizens. The first grumblings of "coup" were heard. The final straw was Hizbullah's kidnapping of Colonel Tannenbaum. The officers knew that he was being tortured and forced to reveal the names, addresses and all details of IDF staff, strategy, equipment and facilities. They summoned Barak to mount an operation inside Lebanon involving mass hostage taking to secure the release of Tannenbaum but were again rebuffed by Barak. Not knowing which demoralizing IDF fiasco was next and fearing that Israelis would take to the streets to secure the protection their army was forbidden to provide, high level but still informal discussions to plan a Barak overthrow gained momentum. Read the Social Security Act, Section 208 (42 U.S.C. 408), paragraph 8, which says, "Whoever discloses, uses, or compels the disclosure of the Social Security number of a person in violation of the laws of the United States shall be guilty of a felony and upon conviction thereof shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both." During the 1930s, many Americans were concerned that Social Security numbers would become national identity numbers. Congress put in paragraph 8 to allay their fears. My Social Security card issued in 1949 says "Not For Identification Purposes." Today, there's little one can do without giving one's Social Security number, whether it's getting a driver's license, filing tax returns, opening a bank or stock account, getting a job, or even bringing a baby home from the hospital. That's a standard practice of Congress. They say one thing just to get a law passed. Then they change it to something we would have never accepted when the law was first written. Most Americans think they have a legal right to the "contributions" they made into Social Security. They don't. In Flemming vs. Nestor (1960), Ephram Nestor sued the federal government, claiming he had a right to collect Social Security benefits since he had paid his Social Security taxes. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that workers have no legal right to Social Security, saying, "To engraft upon the Social Security system a concept of accrued property rights would deprive it of the flexibility and boldness in adjustment to ever changing conditions which it demands." That means Congress can cut or eliminate Social Security benefits anytime it pleases regardless of worker contributions. That decision was consistent with the court's earlier opinion in Helverigh vs. Davis (1937), where the court pointed out that Social Security was not an insurance program: "The proceeds of both the employee and employer taxes are to be paid into the Treasury like any other internal revenue generally, and are not earmarked in any way." That means Social Security is a tax like any other tax. Congress can spend as it pleases regardless of what promises were made back in 1935 when Social Security began. To add insult to injury, politicians feed us lie after lie about the Social Security trust fund, but they are increasingly being cornered into admitting the fraud. The Office of Management and Budget in its "Budget of United States, Fiscal Year 2000," says: "These (Trust Fund) balances are available to finance future benefit payments ... but only in a bookkeeping sense. ... They do not consist of real economic assets that can be drawn down in the future to fund benefits. Instead, they are claims on the Treasury that, when redeemed, will have to be financed by raising taxes, borrowing from the public, or reducing benefits or other expenditures." That, ladies and gentlemen, translates into saying there is no trust fund. The White House and many congressmen say they want to use what they're calling a budget surplus to save Social Security rather than give across-the-board tax cuts. They're lying, and they're going to get away with it because most Americans can't or don't bother to think. What Congress really wants, in their so-called saving Social Security scheme, is to keep money coming to Washington, in the name of Social Security, so they can spend it on bread and circuses as they've done in the past --- and Americans are buying into their ruse.
