What's significant about this contract is whom they made the deal with. As quoted in the press release (read below) "We're especially proud to be working for one of the largest retailers in the world through our agreement with Integrated Administrators." From the rumor mill this large retailer we believe is located in Arkansas. Do we need to say any more? For IBXG, an emerging growth company to be making profitable deals with the big boys, in our opinion is a major accomplishment. This agreement should give IBXG a tremendous amount of credibility in negotiating future contracts. As always one never knows when these announcements will pop up. huge profits with almost no effort. But you have to know what to sell and
how to sell. That's where I come in.

As a leading expert in internet marketing and the owner of several profitable
auction-based businesses, the manual that I have written provides easy to
understand and detailed instructions for maximizing your profits with selling
strategies that are PROVEN WINNERS.

If you've read any other books on eBay, you know that all of them are designed
for the computer idiot and the auction novice. They tell you how to register,
how to list an item, how to avoid fraud, etc. This is not the information
you need to make millions on eBay. You need to learn effective SELLING STRATEGIES
not read a photocopy of eBay help files! My manual assumes that you already
know your way around eBay; you don't need any specialized computer knowledge,
but you should be familiar with buying and selling on eBay auctions. I'm
not going to waste your time teaching you how to register - I'm going to
pass on the SECRET SELLING TECHNIQUES that I use each and every day to bring

Rampage.

2002-12-12 Thread Matthew X
(Break The Chains received the following message from Matt Lamont aka
Rampage in late November.) Dear Break The Chains:
I heard you wanted a run down on what's cracking on my case, so here it is.
Also with this is part of my police report to give you an idea on what went
down. Maybe it would be better to start at the beginning:

The beginning of this year (2002) was pretty much the beginning of the end.
While I was chilling in Oregon at their info-shop in Eugene waiting for the
Anti-Patriarchy Conference I got word that Sherman Austin, website author
of Raise-the-fist (www.raisethefist.com) had been raided by several
agencies. Not too long after this Sherman left to the World Economic Forum
in NYC and was arrested. To make a long story short, he was charged with
several federal charges including hacking. The pig cops weren't cool with
all of the stuff going on in LA. His charges were later dropped. It was
around this time that some filthy pigs gunned down a mentally impaired old
lady in our hood, Long Beach. You guessed it, she was Black. A flier was
distributed depicting a man shooting a pig calling for protest. The media
jumped on it, and so did the Justice Department who sent a federal mediator
to the local community center currently being run by some anarchist
including myself. He was there to keep the city from going up in flames.
The local newspaper did an interview with me as well. The basically painted
a bulls-eye on my head. After interviewing me they asked to take a picture
of me. I declined, but their people are persistent, and so I figured, fuck
it. Next day the Long Beach police are running my face up on the put this
man in jail list. I'll tell you about this later in the story. The protest
goes on, peaceful, and relatively successful. Now the bee's nest is rattled
and everything starts balling up. Police start harassing us. Towing cars,
surveillance, shutting down shows, stupid shit basically. One day two
individuals hang a Off the Pigs banner from the community center which
ended up with pigs surrounding the place and shining their floodlights in
the window while standing in the streets trying to video tape the people in
the shop. They eventually left. However, with a grudge.

On April 20th four pigs followed me and another dude named Maxwell Lucas.
We were pulled over around 9 pm in Whittier by La Habra police. Apparently
Long Beach pigs called LAPD while following us and had them check the car
for weapons. They ended up pulling us over in the city of Whittier. After
finding gasoline, a sponge, and candles the police arrested us on
possession of a destructive device and attempted use of a destructive
device. Later charges of transportation of a destructive device and
ingredients to make a destructive device, a long with hate crime
enhancements were added. The authorities claim I was intending to use the
gasoline on a Hitler's birthday party, because of the vicinity of my
arrest. The car I was traveling in however had not only passed the Hitler
Birthday Party, but was in another city traveling the opposite direction
when I was detained. Further, Hitler's birthday party was cancelled (sorry
Adolph) a few days earlier.

Their only evidence has been that I detest Nazis (doesn't practically
everyone?) and that I am an anarchist with gasoline. At my first court
hearing my bail was set at $100,000 and as I was going back a friend yelled
thug life!. He got arrested for contempt. Not too long after this Sherman
was recharged on federal charges of incendiary device possession and some
other garbage, fortunately they left him on the streets instead of in
custody. Maxwell Lucas took a plea deal that offered no jail time. After a
May Day protest went to the facility I was at, authorities put me in the
administrative segregation unit on total separation status. My preliminary
hearing was a big joke. The judge fucked off and upped my bail to $200,000.
I've been bound over for trial; the new judge lowered my bail to $100,000
again. The District Attorney isn't offering anything. We have filed three
motions. Dismissal, suppression, and a puncheons (not sure if I spelled
that right). Pre-trial hearing for this is December 20th. I hope to beat
the case, as I've already got the hate crime dropped. Even if I was alleged
of trying to attack Nazis how could you hate crime a hater? Three of the
felony charges are specified under a penal code outlawing having a
breakable container filled with flammable substances, with a wick attached.
I didn't have this at all. The container isn't even breakable. Not
surprising, in the police report was a newspaper article that I spoke of
earlier about the police brutality protest with a picture of my face ready
to be pinned up. This kind of case happens all the time (minus the
explosives charges) in the hood. In my cellblock I watch homeboys get
shipped off like cattle to prison. For me it was gasoline. Someone else

Capitalist Swine get the Vapours over the no-Gutnick Verdict.

Australia offers fewer free-speech protections than are afforded by the
First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

Lawyers: Australia ruling re DJ has worrisome implications
Wall Street Journal
The Australia High Court's ruling that allows a Melbourne businessman to
sue Dow Jones in Australia over a Barron's article published in the U.S.
and distributed via the Internet effectively puts at risk the ability of
Americans to speak with each other and be protected by American law when
they do so, says attorney and First Amendment specialist Floyd Abrams. The
court's attempt to narrowly define publishing as the place where the
download occurred doesn't make sense in a world where media companies such
as Dow Jones have assets world-wide, he says.

2002-12-12 Thread Matthew X
To demonize state authoritarianism while ignoring identical albeit
contract-consecrated subservient arrangements in the large-scale
corporations which control the world economy is fetishism at its worst. And
yet (to quote the most vociferous of radical Libertarians, Professor Murray
Rothbard) there is nothing un-libertarian about organization, hierarchy,
wage-work, granting of funds by libertarian millionaires, and a libertarian
party. Indeed. That is why libertarianism is just conservatism with a
rationalist/positivist veneer.
Libertarians render a service to the state which only they can provide. For
all their complaints about its illicit extensions they concede, in their
lucid moments, that the state rules far more by consent than by coercion –
which is to say, on present-state libertarian terms the state doesn't
rule at all, it merely carries out the tacit or explicit terms of its
contracts. If it seems contradictory to say that coercion is consensual,
the contradiction is in the world, not in the expression, and can't
adequately be rendered except by dialectical discourse. One-dimensional
syllogistics can't do justice to a world largely lacking in the virtue. If
your language lacks poetry and paradox, it's unequal to the task of
accounting for actuality. Otherwise anything radically new is literally
unspeakable. The scholastic A = A logic created by the Catholic Church
which the Libertarians inherited, unquestioned, from the Randites is just
as constrictively conservative as the Newspeak of Orwell's 1984.
The state commands, for the most part, only because it commands popular
support. It is (and should be) an embarrassment to Libertarians that the
state rules with mass support – including, for all practical purposes, theirs.
Libertarians reinforce acquiescent attitudes by diverting discontents who
are generalized (or tending that way) and focusing them on particular
features and functions of the state which they are the first to insist are
expendable! Thus they turn potential revolutionaries into repairmen.
Constructive criticism is really the subtlest sort of praise. If the
Libertarians succeed in relieving the state of its exiguous activities,
they just might be its salvation. No longer will reverence for authority be
eroded by the prevalent official ineptitude. The more the state does, the
more it does badly. Surely one reason for the common man's aversion to
Communism is his reluctance to see the entire economy run like the Post
Office. The state tries to turn its soldiers and policemen into objects of
veneration and respect, but uniforms lose a lot of their mystique when you
see them on park rangers and garbage- men.
The ideals and institutions of authority tend to cluster together, both
subjectively and objectively. You may recall Edward Gibbon's remark about
the eternal alliance of Throne and Altar. Disaffection from received dogmas
has a tendency to spread. If there is any future for freedom, it depends on
this. Unless and until alienation recognizes itself, all the guns the
Libertarians cherish will be useless against the state.
You might object that what I've said may apply to the minarchist majority
of Libertarians, but not to the self-styled anarchists among them. To my
mind a right-wing anarchist is just a minarchist who'd abolish the state to
his own satisfaction by calling it something else. But this incestuous
family squabble is no affair of mine. Both camps call for partial or
complete privitization of state functions but neither questions the
functions themselves. They don't denounce what the state does, they just
object to who's doing it. This is why the people most victimized by the
state display the least interest in libertarianism. Those on the receiving
end of coercion don't quibble over their coercers' credentials. If you
can't pay or don't want to, you don't much care if your deprivation is
called larceny or taxation or restitution or rent. If you like to control
your own time, you distinguish employment from enslavement only in degree
and duration. An ideology which outdoes all others (with the possible
exception of Marxism) in its exaltation of the work ethic can only be a
brake on anti-authoritarian orientations, even if it does make the trains
run on time.
My second argument, related to the first, is that the libertarian phobia as
to the state reflects and reproduces a profound misunderstanding of the
operative forces which make for social control in the modern world. If –
and this is a big if, especially where bourgeois Libertarians are
concerned – what you want is to maximize individual autonomy, then it is
quite clear that the state is the least of the phenomena which stand in
your way.
Imagine that you are a Martian anthropologist specializing in Terran
studies and equipped with the finest telescopes and video equipment. You
have not yet deciphered any Terran language and so you can only record what

Homeopathy spam

(Actually the dilution theory says that the more dilute the
preparation,
the _stronger_ it is, at least if it's diluted by the people who sell
it
and not by the people who buy it. It's rather like somebody's theory

making a dry martini, which is that you take the vermouth bottle
and gesture meaningfully in the direction of the shaker of gin. :-)

Homeopathic hacking: If I merely open my filter file, that should be
enough to resist spam?
And merely touching the shrinkwrap on a firewall in Fry's will protects
my systems too.

Under this logic a retailer in one

could
involve publishers in yet a third country to litigation in the second
 country. Bizarre.

The real question is whether any judgement is enforceable.

Depends if the Dow Jones CEOs ever go to Australia.

Secret trials are on the rise. Inasmuch as the U.S. is now throwing its
full weight behind secret evidence, secret prosecutions, secret trials,
secret appeals courts, suspension of habeas corpus, detention of Evil
Ones without charge at concentration camps in Cuba, suspension of the
Fourth and Fifth and Sixth Amendments, and elevation to guilt by
association to a central principlewith all of these atrocities,
imagine what nations with a long history of statism must be doing?

One of the several reasons I no longer leave the U.S. is not because
the U.S. is so free, but because I figure I _may_ have some warning the
goons are coming for me...and I have my guns. These days, I'd be
concerned about getting off a plane in Amsterdam or Munich and being
asked to Step aside, Herr May.

You are being charged for a so-called Usenet post you wrote in 1997
in which you claimed that perhaps the Holocaust was being exaggerated.
This is a crime under Reich law. We are extraditing you to Deutschland
for trial.

or

Msr. May, we French have made encryption very difficult for our
citizen-units to misuse in the ways you have advocated. After your last
trip through our country, on your way to discuss money-laundering at a
conference in Monte Carlo, we charged and convicted you under laws very
similar to what your own President has adopted. You will be transferred
to Rochefort Prison where you will serve out the 20-year sentence for
your crimes.

Hey, if the U.S. is now holding secret trials, secret appeals, and is
snatching foreigners from their countries (rubber-stamped by the
courts), why wouldn't Germany, France, and other such countries being
doing exactly the same thing?

I also figure there's some chance that quid pro quo deals have been
struck with the U.S. If a noted dissident is too difficult to prosecute
in the U.S. (too difficult at this time, that is), then why not have a
compliant regime in the U.K. snatch him when he gets off the plane at
Heathrow? Charge him with some violation of the Official Secrets Act,
throw in some chaff about how one of his recipients of his PGP key was
a member of the Real IRA freedom fighters group, and then throw away
the key.

America used to disdain the secret trials, the Star Chamber proceedings
so endemic in other parts of the world. Now we have them.

We will reap what we sow.

ABSTRACT

Home computers that are connected to the Internet are under attack
and need to be secured. That process is relatively well understood,
even though we do not have perfect solutions today and probably
never will. Meanwhile, however, the home computing environment is
evolving into a home network of multiple devices, which will also
need to be secured. We have little experience with these new home
networks and much research needs to be done in this area. This
paper gives a view of the requirements and some of the techniques
 available for securing home networks.

ABSTRACT

This paper describes a
flexible and extensible framework for
distributing digital content
in a protected and interoperable manner
within the home. Within this
framework a chain of solutions provide
comprehensive, end-to-end
protection of digital entertainment
content as it is delivered
to the home and managed, stored, and
consumed on a wide range of
devices. These solutions employ a
consistent set of technical
and licensing mechanisms to ensure that
the content is protected in
an effective and efficient manner
throughout the domain. This
leads to a framework in which content
protection solutions from a
variety of licensors can be selected and
combined in a flexible and
interoperable manner, based on market
forces.

A number of content
protection solutions that operate within this
framework have been
developed and are incorporated into products
on the market today. This
paper describes two such solutions:

 Content Protection for
Recordable Media (CPRM)

 Digital Transmission
Content Protection (DTCP)

$40 + 10% or Wholesale Online Pharmacy Affiliate Program

2002-12-12 Thread PharmacyExcellence.com
Why are so many affiliates switching to us?
Because our affiliates make more money than anyone else's!

Click Here--- http://www.pharmacyexcellence.com/_affiliates.html to see it.

We pay our affiliates more than any other online pharmacy in the world. As a matter
of fact, we pay our regular affiliates the same wholesale commissions that we pay our
$60,000 a month affiliates.

Take a look at the best selling product we have: Phentermine 37.5mg 90 quantity.
Your commission at the lowest retail price goes from $39.90 ($21 and 10% commission)
to $77.63!(New Commissions) That is an increase in your payout of 94.5% over the
highest payout in the industry!!!

Visit http://www.pharmacyexcellence.com/_affiliates.html now and see the real numbers
our affiliates are doing and how much more money you can make by switching to us too!

Reasons you will love doing business with us:

1. We pay more than anyone else!
No one comes close to our payout!
Click here to see the New payouts:
http://www.pharmacyexcellence.com/_new-affiliate-payouts.html

We pay this extremely profitable commission on all products! Some affiliates make
over $100,000.00 a month! Click here:
http://www.pharmacyexcellence.com/_affiliates.html to see screenshots of some active
affiliate site's stats.

You get paid on every re-order your customer ever makes! For those of you not in the
business, the average sale is between $200-$250 depending on which products your
clients are buying the most. This makes your average payout $60-$65 per order.
Combine that with a closing ratio of sales to visitors of over 10 percent and you have
real potential to make serious dollars. (we have affiliates that close 1 sale ($62.50
profit) every 10 clicks on pay per click search engine traffic.)

2. Our sites turn your visitors into money!

Your visitors can obtain prescriptions online and have their drugs shipped overnight
to their doorstep! We sell the most popular prescriptions out there! Products like
Viagra, Phentermine, Ultram and many more. The manufacturers of these products
advertise every day on television on radio. When people hear about them and go on the
Internet to find out more, they find you and purchase online! We are very lucky to be
in a business that is so easy, due in part to the massive marketing campaigns of these
large companies. No one enjoys a face-to-face visit with a physician to explain why
they can't maintain an erection. Our sites allow people to obtain the drugs they need
from the privacy of their own home, promptly and securely!

3. We get you more orders!

Your customers are automatically emailed to go back to your site when it's time to
reorder.
Our shopping cart system allows customers to purchase multiple products at the same
time (and they do).
Because our shipping and customer service is second to none, your customers stay with
you and don't need to shop around. Better service = More re-orders for you!
We fill more of the orders you generate! Our order approval rating is over 90%!
We give you 3 different pricing structures for your customers. Competitive, low, and
extremely low (lowest prices on the net). Our 3 pricing structures give you the
flexibility you need to stomp your competition while making the most money possible
for yourself!

4. We can give you your own website built on our software, that has over 1 million
dollars of investment in it, for FREE! (for the many of you that are doing over 3
orders a day, otherwise your own private labeled site is $199, $25 a month.)
The website we give you is nothing short of amazing. It's truly an online marketer's
dream. We designed it to do absolutely everything an online marketer could ever want.
You can change anything you want about your website easily. You really have to see
it to believe it.

5. We treat you like gold:

We send your money once every 2 weeks!
You will always be able to reach someone by phone. Your business is our business. We
give you the service you deserve.
When you get a customer, he is yours for life. That residual money adds up fast due
to the heavy re-order nature of the business.

6. We give you the technology you need to stomp your competition online!

Need an amazing looking website of your own to send your visitors to? No problem!
Want to turn on 100 sites in a day? No problem!
Want to push your own private labeled affiliate program as though you owned the whole
company? No problem!
Want to outbid everyone on Overture, Findwhat, Kanoodle, and Espotting every 30
seconds? Want to make sure you never pay a penny more than needed? No problem!
Want to see where your orders are really coming from? Our software will show you
exactly to the penny which ads, keywords, and search engines are pulling in orders,
and which are not.
You can also use our advertising tracking to make sure you are making a killing on
every one of your marketing ideas! With the software we

ADV. EARN FROM $300 to OVER $900 PER DAY

2002-12-12 Thread AThompson
EARN OVER $900 PER DAY!
HELPING THE US GOVT. PROCESS HUD/FHA REFUNDS

You could be a processor helping the Federal Govt. assist people who have
refunds coming back under MIP paid policies.

These are simply premiums that get paid back to the customer once they
have paid off their mortgage. It's an extremely easy job that you can do
from the comfort of your own home either part time or full time.

The entire program, setup by the federal Govt. has only been in effect for
a short time and very few are even aware of it. Our goal is to provide
this opportunity to a few people that are serious about earning a very
good income and at the same time provide a service to our Federal Govt.
Every month there are thousands of people that need your help. You earn
anywhere from $200 to $600 per person AND your entire job consists of
filling out ONE form. You can make $500 - $700 OVER $900 each and every
day, and there are NO JOKES and NO GOTCHAS to it!

If you would like to get started you need to do the following, send a
short letter to our office requesting the information be sent to you.

You need to send that to IWD, PO Box 91, Island Park, NY 11558
Be sure to include your name address, phone number, zip code, email

Police seek group over St George pub rampage
Police say they have identified people of interest they want to interview
over a riot at St George in Queensland's south-west.
No-one has been charged over the riot at the Australian Hotel last night.
Police suspect it was linked to the death of a man at the hotel last month.
Publican Brian Raymond Clark, 47, has been charged with murder.
Balonne Shire Mayor John Stone says he believes the incident was not
racially motivated.
I would think it's a one-off incident and not indicative of any
deep-seated underlying problems in the community, he said.
About 60 people stormed the hotel, smashing windows, doors, chairs and
poker machines with clubs and baseball bats.
Police say at the height of the riot a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the
lounge bar.
The building has sustained tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

Earlier report...
About 60 people were involved in a riot inside a hotel at the southern
Queensland town of St George overnight.
Police say the incident is related to a murder there last month.
Police say a group of people stormed into the Australian Hotel just before
10:00pm, smashing property and at one stage trying to light a fire.
Police extinguished the flames using a bucket of beer.
They say the group then turned their anger to the nearby police house,
causing extensive damage.
Police moved the publican of the hotel to safety before calling for help
from surrounding police districts.
No-one was injured.

Obscurity is a far greater threat to authors and creative artists than piracy.

2002-12-12 Thread Matthew X

Lesson 1: Obscurity is a far greater threat to authors and creative artists
than piracy.
Let me start with book publishing. More than 100,000 books are published
each year, with several million books in print, yet fewer than 10,000 of
those new books have any significant sales, and only a hundred thousand or
so of all the books in print are carried in even the largest stores. Most
books have a few months on the shelves of the major chains, and then wait
in the darkness of warehouses from which they will move only to the
recycling bin. Authors think that getting a publisher will be the
realization of their dreams, but for so many, it's just the start of a long
disappointment.
Sites like Amazon that create a virtual storefront for all the books in
print cast a ray of light into the gloom of those warehouses, and so books
that would otherwise have no outlet at all can be discovered and bought.
Authors who are fortunate enough to get the rights to their book back from
the publisher often put them up freely online, in hopes of finding readers.
The web has been a boon for readers, since it makes it easier to spread
book recommendations and to purchase the books once you hear about them.
But even then, few books survive their first year or two in print. Empty
the warehouses and you couldn't give many of them away.
Many works linger in deserved obscurity, but so many more suffer simply
from the vast differential between supply and demand.
I don't know the exact size of the entire CD catalog, but I imagine that it
is similar in scope. Tens of thousands of musicians self-publish their own
CDs; a happy few get a recording contract. Of those, fewer still have their
records sell in appreciable numbers. The deep backlist of music publishers
is lost to consumers because the music just isn't available in stores.
There are fewer films, to be sure, because of the cost of film making, but
even there, obscurity is a constant enemy. Thousands of independent film
makers are desperate for distribution. A few independent films, like
Denmark's Dogme films, get visibility. But for most, visibility is limited
to occasional showings at local film festivals. The rise of digital video
also promises that film making will soon be as much a garage opportunity as
starting a rock band, and as much of a garret opportunity as the great
American novel.

Lesson 2: Piracy is progressive taxation

Tenochtitlan - December 11, 2002 - (ACN) Rivaling the crisis in Venezuela

security fence surrounding the Palacio Legislativo de San Lazaro. The
campesinos are in extreme desperation because of the worsening conditions

Lucy Parsons appealing.

2002-12-12 Thread Matthew X
Dear Friends,
Two years ago, the Lucy Parsons Center collective wrote asking for support
to help us maintain the nuts-and-bolts of the center. Today, we're writing
you with a new idea - a major task for our all-volunteer collective, but
one that is essential if we are to sustain the Lucy Parsons Center as a
mainstay of radical activism in the Boston area.
We want to buy a building, and we need everyone's help to do it.
The Lucy Parsons Center (formerly the RedBook Store) has been an
outstanding center of activism in Boston, providing a venue for education,
discussion and reflection, depending on no political or ideological group
as its patron, and always maintaining its non-sectarian radical character.
Over the past thirty years, however, we've existed precariously. After a
number of RedBook moves in Cambridge and then Jamaica Plain, the Lucy
Parsons Center was founded in 1992 as a successor organization. But after
four successful years in Central Square, Cambridge came the end of rent
control in Boston and Cambridge, and the surge in real estate speculation
and rents that followed have made maintaining the bookstore and Center a
real cliff-hanger at times.
Today, the Lucy Parsons Center finally has a big, open space on Columbus
Avenue in Boston's South End, with well-stocked shelves, room for many
activist groups to meet, speakers, movies and other events on a weekly
basis, free open-source computers for public access, space for posters,
flyers, and announcements from a host of groups, but with near-suffocating
costs for our all-volunteer collective: well over $2,000 per month with
rent and utilities.
So the Lucy Parsons collective has embarked upon the purchase of a building
- with a committee to oversee the process and a building fund which
contains the beginnings of a downpayment. We need everyone's financial
support to make this purchase a reality - our goal is to raise nearly
$300,000 by April 2004, and we are slowly getting there. Right now, we need
everyone who believes in the Lucy Parsons Center to contribute.
Please make a donation - of $50, $100 or $1,000, whatever you can manage -
which will go directly into our building fund for the purchase of a space
that will serve as the bookstore as well as meeting space for other groups,
a movie house, a café, a lending library, a children's space, and hopefully
long-term office/organizing space for other activist groups throughout
Boston. No one at Lucy Parsons draws a salary, there are no stock options,
but we're in it for the long haul. And we need your support now.
We count ourselves as one of thousands of groups that dare to create a
world where the free exchange of information and ideas is essential, where
activism against the powerful political and economic structures must be
constant, and where people are free to propose and develop alternatives to
the existing power structures without fear. These ideas fly in the face of
the numbing terror that the government and corporate mass media have been
trying to promote as a war emergency to frighten all of us into silence
and acquiescence.
Join with us. Help us make a permanent home for the Lucy Parsons Center.
With thanks solidarity,
Members of the Lucy Parsons Center collective

involve publishers in yet a third country to litigation in the second

The real question is whether any judgement is enforceable.

Agreed. A few years ago, some would advocate that on the Internet, no
national laws apply. This was, of course, nonsense. Instead, every
single national, regional, and local law in effect today anywhere in the

Everything illegal everywhere all the time.

A legislative singularity akin to early modern discoveries in physics
(the end of the geocentric universe) and engineering (peasant-fired
projectile weapons making noble armor obsolete) once and forever
violating the laws of god.

The next trick will be to drive a stake into the heart of modern
society's present mystification of identity and is-a-person
credentials by moving money and financial assets, significantly
cheaper than we do now, using systems that don't require identity at
all to clear and settle transactions. Systems which are,
paradoxically, cheaper *because* they're anonymous, or at least,
identity agnostic, just like physics is religiously agnostic.

If that works, sooner or later we'll have the technical equivalent of
the thirty years' war, which only the ubiquitous and instantaneous
application or threat of private, local, force will solve. The
result will be a software/protocol Treaty of Westphalia, giving us
actual markets for force instead of confiscatory monopolies for same.

In the end, if necessary we'll know, absolutely, where *every*body
is, and what they're doing, all the time, because we'll all be
watching our *own* stuff, supervising our *own* property with our
*own* equipment, like, um, god, meant us to do :-). But,
paradoxically, because it'll be cheaper and more secure to do
instantaneously-settled functionally anonymous transactions, we won't
know, we won't *care* where anybody gets, spends, or invests their
money, and we won't give damn about it because it works better than
the Friedmanian mummenschantz(1) we currently call law and order.
Markets will create better order than laws ever could.

Cheers,
RAH

(1) See David Friedman's The Machinery of Freedom where he
describes the finance of the modern nation state as this ceremonial
game in which 50 people sit in a circle with a hundred pennies
stacked in front of each person. The politician comes along, and with
great pomp and circumstance (and two guys with guns on either side of
him), takes everyone's pennies and dumps them into a fancy bowl.
Then, at random, he stands in front of someone, and slowly, with
great fanfare, counts off 50 pennies and gives them to the lucky
recipient. After repeating this 49 more times without repeating
anyone, the politician and his associates go off to the local pub and
buy themselves a beer. The victims are left marvelling at all the
free money they just got.

More Government Funds for Mosques.

2002-12-12 Thread Matthew X

by proffr of arabia. 3:51pm Fri Dec 13 '02 article#38236

There have been some heartening trends in American Public life.Soon there
should be more madrassess's in downtown Manhatten.Praise Allah and pass the
ammo!

Behind the president's push to expand the role of churches in addressing
poverty, hunger, homelessness and drug abuse is his belief that they can be
more effective than other groups in helping the needy. His administration
fueled by the religious conservative constituency that forms Bush's
political base contends that religious groups face unfair barriers.
Many here would echo that as we have had widespread Govt funding of private
religious schools for years. Now,with a vibrant and growing Muslim community
we can look at mass funding for fundamentalist Madrassess's.We mustn't
discriminate among the various religions and I think James Packer might
agree that a govt subsidized xenu study centre or two wouldn't hurt.
Bush's aim is not to favor religious groups, merely to erase barriers to
give them as fair a shake as any others, one senior official said.Broadly,
Bush's executive order tells federal agencies to ensure religious groups
are treated equally with others in all respects.
Religious organizations refusing to hire people of any faith can still win
contracts. What could be better than that.We don't want radical feminist and
zioninst concepts corrupting our young jehadi's.

To hell with the defence of government schools; school massacres are way to
slow.I want to see govt funds flowing to the most extremist religious
fanatics with the best track record in destroying the state.A shadowy
figure in a terrorist group has encouraged armed fighters to target
American interests and to extort, kidnap and murder American citizens.
The United States has declared war, he said in a radio message to armed
freedom fighters Our obligation is to fight them.Anyone who destroys
American interests, consulates, all missionary organisations, McDonald's,
KFC, Shell or Caltex petrol pumps or American Express, or anyone who cuts
off the head of an American, you will be given complete protection and a
special place in paradise.

This message has been totally government funded.Stand by for millions more.

Subject: The TIA and fighting terrorism

We could be taking this approach, but we're not. We could be improving
the ability of local law enforcement to detect terrorism -- but
instead we're degrading that ability, since we're shifting the FBI's
traditional crime-fighting work onto local resources. The one method
that has actually prevented a terrorist attack on US soil is not being
used, and is instead being inhibited. We are focusing on centralizing
intelligence and resources when instead -- or at least in addition --
we should be decomposing, distributing, decentralizing.

We could be seriously examining the contributions of U.S. behavior around
the world to catalyzing asymmetrical warfare but we're not. We could be
considering that the reason U.S. military are prime targets the world over
for disgruntled foreigners is that we have armed forces in over 100
countries (mostly invited by friendly regimes on the dole who rarely find
their own citizens supporting a U.S. presence). How many has Britain,
France or Germany? When was the last time we heard of their troops being
attacked outside of a war zone or former war zone? When was the last time
you saw a British, French or German soldier walking down a U.S. street?

If we want world peace we must work for world justice. I suggest we cannot
simultaneously have empire, security and liberty. It is time to choose.

I trust you are not one of those who will prattle something like

opposition to the direct attack on the Constitution and civil
 liberties and civil rights?

Do we need a program to oppose the progrom?

Dear America,

Yes, It's hard, but here's how. First, you can make comms unreadable. There
are well-known ways to do this. Second, you can make comms untraceable. Ways
to do this exist, and better ones are being developed*. Third, you can make
comms available to everyone - the 'net might help here.

If you don't choose to use these methods, the consequences are up to you.
But secure comms alone will only provide you with useful information, by
themselves they aren't enough; you need to vote. Lots of you.

Nothing else really matters. To them, and you.

This is totally bogus thinking. The Internet is not broadcast medium.

involve publishers in yet a third country to litigation in the second

The real question is whether any judgement is enforceable.

Agreed. A few years ago, some would advocate that on the Internet, no
national laws apply. This was, of course, nonsense. Instead, every
single national, regional, and local law in effect today anywhere in the
world applies to anything you do to the extent that said law can be
enforced.
