[Bug 79603] Alt-F6 binding doesn't work in Metacity
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: metacity This is (somewhat) related to bug #72732. In previous versions of Metacity, Alt-F6 was a configurable keybinding. I have been using it to make windows maximize vertically in the past (Dapper). However, under Feisty (metacity 2.17.3-0ubuntu1) this is no longer possible as the keybinding seems to do some sort of same- application window switching. The problem lies in the fact that Alt-F6 is still a configurable keybinding within the Keyboard Shortcuts application. A user should be able to over ride this keybinding. At this point, a warning isn't even displayed to state that this key combination is already used for another purpose. ** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Alt-F6 binding doesn't work in Metacity https://launchpad.net/bugs/79603 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 71818] Window borders not always drawn properly for maximized windows
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: metacity I am currently using Dapper and see this issue fairly often, but I think it still exists in Edgy as well. When maximizing a window using the Metacity window manager and a theme with rounder corners such as the default Human Metacity theme, the top corners are not always drawn properly - they should become square, but sometimes they simply remain rounded. This problem seems to occur most often when the window is already close to the size of the display - so maximizing the window doesn't change its shape by much. It can also occur when initially starting an application. A workaround is to unmaximize the window, resize it to be small compared to the size of the screen, and then remaximize the window. I will attach screenshots to illustrate. ** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Window borders not always drawn properly for maximized windows https://launchpad.net/bugs/71818 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Method to reproduce: 1. Create a task in Evolution. 2. Click on the calendar applet on the gnome panel and see the task properly listed under the calendar. Click on the calendar applet again to hide the popup. 3. Open the task in Evolution and change the group to something different, then save the task. 4. Repeat #2, and see the duplicated task. This also seems to carry over for task deletion. Follow the same steps as above, but delete the task instead of renaming it. The task will still show up in the calendar applet popup. I apologize if I filed this under the wrong package, I'm not sure which one has the problem. [Bug 41160] Dapper's Evolution will not open email from outside applications when using self-signed certificates
Public bug reported: Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: Using the latest Dapper updates, if I try to open an email from an outside application (ex. beagle), a mail window will pop up but the message never loads. [Bug 39233] Middle-click extensions seem to hang epiphany browser in Dapper
Public bug reported: Affects: epiphany-extensions (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: Using Dapper with the latest updates, epiphany extensions which grab middle-click actions (gestures and auto scroll) lock up epiphany. The CPU usage doesn't go up, but the mouse cursor ends up stuck on a different icon (pencil for gestures, hand for auto scroll) and I can not click on anything or interact with X/Gnome at all.
