There are issues with Microsoft System Integration strings. But please have a look. One possibility is that you, as Language Lead for Japanese work very closely with the Japanese translators and perform review before they deliver back to Sun. This is for example the way Elsa works with the French Community and by speaking with Sophie at the OpenOffice.org conference last week this seems to be working very well :-) The advantage of this process is that between the fist and second translation handoff we will create L10n builds which will contain the translated final files. The other possibility is to start review after the Community provides translated files by October 29th. Deadline for the correction is December 13th. Same deadline as the second translation hand-off. I read the procedures on http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Translation_for_2.4#Process_Step_by_Step but not sure what the milestone date is for each step. There are no dates because Native Language Community teams are so different in terms of team structure, expertise etc. I think that what it really matters is to provide them with a start and delivery date... It's really great to see the Japanese Community on board! Kazunari, you need to tell me if you are going to translate the whole update or only a certain volume/wordcount. File should be ready by tomorrow. If any delay I will notify the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list. We will prepare the file (sdf file format) and file an issue to you Naoyuki Ishimura will be the central engineer for Japanese and your support in case of technical issues (conversion issues, etc.) and Reiko Saito your support in case of language related questions.
