[Dev] [APIM] - Required parameters for add documentation to an API with the source type File

2015-09-15 Thread Bhagya Dimenguwari
Hi,

I tried to add new document to an API with the Source Type "File". I used
the requested parameters as [1] referring firebug information [2] and it
does not allow to add the document and got the exception [3].

I am going to test Integration test by referring test case - *APIM2-622:Add
documentation to an API [ sample & SDK | File ] through the publisher REST
api* in test link

*.*
Are there any document to refer for add a new file through the REST Api?

Hi Ajith,

We have observed the same issue reported in [1] .But this was resolved
after changing the configs in Event broker.xml and cleaning the external
solar data. But not sure it was the cause though.
In additional to this it was reported in [2] as well.

information in a "Tips" macro will be useful to the user. In addition, I
will do the other corrections that you mentioned.

Re: [Dev] [IS 5.1.0 alpha] Issue in adding a workflow

2015-09-15 Thread Harsha Thirimanna
Hi Chamila,
It was not the reason and slowness came because of some issues in BPEL/HT
package that is given by the BPS team. They fixed that.
This Profiling information came from Nandika that saying it is better if we
can run as profile if we are not using BPS features. Johan explained the
reason in above.
As Prabath said, we can do that and but if we can remove default embed bps
profile with default start, we will not face any problem. Then user must
aware about workflow feature and start in that profile.

Re: [Dev] [IS 5.1.0 alpha] Issue in adding a workflow

2015-09-15 Thread Chamila Wijayarathna
Hi Prabath,

We disabled those services from default profile since previously deploying
BPELs took a long time and this may cause performance issues for a user who
is not using workflow features.
But AFAIK recent work Harsha did on this fixed those performance issues and
in alpha pack also we don't have such performance issues, in any of the
profile.
So I think the main reason we went to a separate profile is now fixed.
@Johann, Harsha: WDYT?

Thanks!

2015-09-15 Thread Johann Nallathamby
Hi Prabath,

It was recommended by Nandika / BPS team to not start these bundles unless
you specifically want to use BPS features, because there are some
background processes that run which take away some CPU cycles and not give
the optimal performance.

Re: [Dev] [IS 5.1.0 alpha] Issue in adding a workflow

2015-09-15 Thread Prabath Siriwardena
I think it would be better to enable these services out of the box - and
anyone who does not need this - or anyone who is not using workflow feature
can disable this..

Thanks & regards,

 After talking to Johann - I started the IS with -Dprofile=full - and

 Please do not give the embedded_bps option - when we do not do that...

2015-09-15 Thread Johann Nallathamby
I think we need to check for minimum set of bundles to work with embedded
profile without errors. Can do this by trying to load a class at runtime.
You can google to find some code examples.

Thanks.

Re: [Dev] [IS 5.1.0 alpha] Issue in adding a workflow

2015-09-15 Thread Chamila Wijayarathna
Hi Johann/Prabath,

I have already implemented to show embeded_bps profile only when IS started
with "-Dprofile=full",
according to above discussion this seems like that is not the proper way to
handle this.
If so what will be the better way to do this?

Thanks!

I am not sure this is coming form UES side, more likely it's some DAS code
since error is coming from Ehcache. please ping when you see this.

Re: [Dev] APIM showing subscription details even after subscription is removed

2015-09-15 Thread Madusanka Premaratne
Hi Udara,
The consumer key secret pair is generated against the oauth app you select
while subscribing. After removing the subscription, only the subscribed api
wii be removed from subscribed APIs (at the bottom of the screenshot)
You may see the drop down "Applications with Subscriptions" in the top of
the subscription page. When you change the app there, the consumer_key,
consumer_secret and access_token changes accordingly. If you delete the
particular app only you will be able to delete those info.

Thanks,
Madusanka

Re: [Dev] [ES][Doc] Adding a new sample Artifact of an Asset Type(RXT) in Enterprise Store

2015-09-15 Thread Jackie Wheeler
I think we can add a "Tips" section at the bottom and have a bulleted list
of these items, such as "Be sure to add the lifecycle definition to the
path."

Mari, the note in the middle of the page is missing content in the second
sentence. Currently it says:

You need to define the latter mentioned asset specific attributes in a JSON
file, which has the same name as the asset type RXT (e.g., RXT_NAME.json).
In this case

Also, at the end of the page, the last sentence is missing a word:

In this tutorial, as we have set the lifecycle status to the artifact is
visible in the Store.

Cheers,
Jackie

Re: [Dev] Configuration issue in permission tree - MB

2015-09-15 Thread Johann Nallathamby
Hi Indika,

So I guess what I suspected is correct. "queue_menu" menu requires higher
permission than "queues_add" menu, and therefore you obviously won't see
the "Add Queue" menu in the UI.
You can skip authorization for "queue_menu" menu by
adding  tag.

I didn't quite understand what you meant in point (6) about the
authorization code. If there is still some problem remaining to be
answered, please explain.

Regards.

Re: [Dev] [IS 5.1.0 alpha] Issue in adding a workflow

2015-09-15 Thread Johann Nallathamby
I think we will have to write the logic based on whether BPS bundles or
activated or not. We can't check for specific profile names, because
profiles can be created and renamed also. So we have to decide in runtime
if the BPS bundles are activated and show or not show the embedded BPS
profile.

2015-09-15 Thread Udara Liyanage
Hi,

1) Create an API in publisher
2) Subscribe to the API
3) Generate keys - UI will show the generated keys
4) Now remove the subscription - Still the earlier subscription
details(including) keys are shown. I guess it should n't ?

Attached a screenshot.

[Dev] [UES] Reading request parameters of dashboard page URL inside widget and publish it

2015-09-15 Thread Thanuja Uruththirakodeeswaran
Hi Manuranga,

I have a widget and gadget in my dashboard page. The widget is to filter
some values and then gadget will display the filtered data using the
publisher-subscriber model.
When I'm navigating to the dashboard page from my main page, I'm passing
some params in the URL. I want to read those request param from the page
URL and publish those values to the gadget.
I'm using '*parent.window.location' *to read the request params inside the
widget and publishing that value to subscriber gadget.
Lalanke said it's not a good way and suggested to get help from you. Also
if I follow this approach and once the values are read from url, I try to
publish the values and got *'Uncaught Error:
OpenAjax.hub.Error.Disconnected*' error.
So what is the best way to read request params and publish it?

Thanks.

Hi all,

There is an issue in sending events using a datasource via the event
simulator in DAS 3.0.

Events has not published into the event stream when sending data via
database event simulation.Database connection is also healthy.Therefore,
seems the issue is with the database event simulation.

Reported a JIRA[1] regarding this issue.

Re: [Dev] [DAS] Issue in connecting db2 with DAS

2015-09-15 Thread Anjana Fernando
Hi Nayomi,

Yeah, for now, do test with the changed configuration name change. But we
will have to come up with an approach for this, since the query
configuration will most probably be identical for both situations. @Gokul,
shall we do an improvement in the database name section there to support
like "*" wildcard character. Maybe it will be easy if we just allow users
to give an regex in the place of the name, so it can be matched. Can you
please create an improvement JIRA and get it implemented.

Cheers,
Anjana.

[Dev] [DAS] Issue in connecting db2 with DAS

2015-09-15 Thread Nayomi Dayarathne
Hi Anjana,

Following error was seen when connecting DAS 3.0 with db2 .

ERROR {org.wso2.carbon.analytics.dataservice.AnalyticsDataServiceComponent}
- Error in activating analytics data service: Cannot find a database
section in the RDBMS configuration for the database:
{Category=large_dataset_optimized, Database Product Name=DB2/LINUXX8664,
Version=10.5}
org.wso2.carbon.analytics.datasource.commons.exception.AnalyticsException:
Cannot find a database section in the RDBMS configuration for the database:
{Category=large_dataset_optimized, Database Product Name=DB2/LINUXX8664,
Version=10.5}

After discussing with Gokul, we found that root cause for the error was the
incompatibility of db2 type(windows/linux) that has mentioned in the
rdbms-config.xml with the db2 we were trying to connect with DAS.

Default rdbms-config.xml has the configurations for db2 for windows but not
linux. And we have used db2 which was configured for linux environment .

Therefore, as a workaround suggested by Gokul, we changed the name of the
db2 configuration in rdbms-config.xml as DB2/LINUXX8664 (linux verison).

Hence, we would like to know whether we are going to add db2 configuration
for both OS's or are we just going to mention it in the DAS document ?

Re: [Dev] Handlebars js ifCond issue when retrieving a value from a session variable

2015-09-15 Thread Dinithi De Silva
Hi Dakshika,

Thanks you for the response. I was managed to do this by writing a custom
helper to check whether the tenant is the super tenant.

Handlebars.registerHelper('isSuperTenant', function (action, options) {
if (caramel.meta().session.get("TENANT_ID") != undefined) {
if (caramel.meta().session.get("TENANT_ID") == -1234) {
return true;
}
}
return "";
});

AFAIU the problem here was with the ifCond helper. This issue came up when
comparing two integer values using ifCond. For String comparisons it worked
fine.

Thanks.

Re: [Dev] [Throttling] Moving throttle.core out from Synapse

2015-09-15 Thread Amila De Silva
Hi,

Created the PR[1], by merging latest throttling fixes with synapse-commons.
After doing the changes, was able to successfully build wso2-synapse and
carbon-mediation with unit tests. Ran all the integration tests in
product-esb, after building the product on top of latest synapse and
carbon-mediation changes.

Please review and merge the PR.

 Hi Chanaka,

 Since throttle core can be used on its own, thought of creating a
 separate feature out of that - so a new place to put throttle component. If
 we put it under mediation-throttle, that would imply two components have to
 be used together, isn't it?

 Hi Sachith,

 Could you try running the same query in a 2.x version and see what
 error is occurring ? As far as I know, it could be a tombstone issue, 1.x
 versions doesnt show it. If it gives an error of tombstone overwhelming in
 2.x, then its the case what Madhawa has explained.

 You manually can get rid of tombstones using nodetool by running flush
 command and then compaction.

 Hi Dakshika / Jerad,

 I am trying to retrieve the tenantId stored in a session variable into
 handlebars js file. The variable "teananID" has the value of the tenant id
 (Ex: -1234) but when comparing it with -1234 or any other integer the
 condition is always false.

 Please find the piece of code in my handlebar js file below.

 {{#ifCond tenantID "==" -1234}}
Test1
 {{else}}
Test2
 {{/ifCond}}

 Please note that I have tried printing the variable using console.log
 and it gave the value -1234. And also we can compare two strings using the
 same way without any issue.

 What could be the missing part in the condition to always become false?

 Thanks.

Re: [Dev] Handlebars js ifCond issue when retrieving a value from a session variable

2015-09-15 Thread Dinithi De Silva
After discussing with Jerad, I have tried adding console logs to check the
type of the variable.

var test = {{tenantID}}
console.log(typeof test);

This gave the type as number.

And then when I print the following, the result was true.

console.log(test==1);

The issue might be the ifCond registerHelper is not working with the type
number.

Handlebars.registerHelper('ifCond', function (v1, operator, v2, options) {
switch (operator) {
case '!=':
return (v1 != v2) ? options.fn(this) : options.inverse(this);
case '==':
return (v1 == v2) ? options.fn(this) : options.inverse(this);
case '===':
return (v1 === v2) ? options.fn(this) : options.inverse(this);
case '<':
return (v1 < v2) ? options.fn(this) : options.inverse(this);
case '<=':
return (v1 <= v2) ? options.fn(this) : options.inverse(this);
case '>':
return (v1 > v2) ? options.fn(this) : options.inverse(this);
case '>=':
return (v1 >= v2) ? options.fn(this) : options.inverse(this);
default:
return options.inverse(this);
}
});

Re: [Dev] "svn: E200030: Index not exists: I_NODES_MOVED" error in CEP worker node

2015-09-15 Thread Akila Ravihansa Perera
Hi,

Looks like this is a known issue in SVN Kit 1.8 [1]. Can you try running
'svn update' on working dir (repository/deployment/server)? Or try removing
the whole directory and let it clone again.

[1] https://issues.tmatesoft.com/issue/SVNKIT-582

Thanks.

I got the following error, when I try to create a version in an existing
application

By referring the logs, we can see that config and governance registries are
being loaded.

TID: [0] [AF] [2015-09-15 01:06:23,476]  INFO

{org.wso2.carbon.registry.core.jdbc.EmbeddedRegistryService}

however, after I login to the carbon console, using the same tenant I could
create the version without errors.

[Dev] Code Review Notes : Developer Studio plug-in for Analytics Project

2015-09-15 Thread Sajith Dimal
Participants – Sriskandarajah Suhothayan, SajithD

Notes

   - Change the naming convention “CEP” to “Analytics” through the entire
   project.

   - Update the license header.

   - Add class to handle project constants and messages.

   - Use proper name for the methods and variables.

   - Ex: “cepProjectName” to “analyticsProjectName”

 “file” to “artifactFile”

   - Use enum type's field instead of String type in Map
   artifactList.

   - Use IdeveloperStudioLog log.error instead of e.printStackTrace for
   AnalyticsProjectArtifactCreator.serialize() method.

   - Remove artifact creation wizard 3rd page (Meven information), retrieve
   those information from the parent project.

   - Add folderLocation.isDirectory() validation for wizard option
   modelProperty="project.location"

Please add if anything missing.

Re: [Dev] WSO2 Carbon Metrics UI OSGi Fragment Bundle issue

2015-09-15 Thread Kishanthan Thangarajah
IsuruP, in the mean time could you guys verify you fragment bundle and its
configuration? From my understanding this issue cannot occur as we have
been using fragment bundle approach for lot of scenarios within the
platform (UI, styles, mediator-ui) where we haven't encounter this type of
issue so far. I didn't go into this issue in detail, but you can compare
the configuration of other fragment bundles we have and try to see for any
obvious issues.

[Dev] Handlebars js ifCond issue when retrieving a value from a session variable

2015-09-15 Thread Dinithi De Silva
Hi Dakshika / Jerad,

I am trying to retrieve the tenantId stored in a session variable into
handlebars js file. The variable "teananID" has the value of the tenant id
(Ex: -1234) but when comparing it with -1234 or any other integer the
condition is always false.

Please find the piece of code in my handlebar js file below.

{{#ifCond tenantID "==" -1234}}
   Test1
{{else}}
   Test2
{{/ifCond}}

Please note that I have tried printing the variable using console.log and
it gave the value -1234. And also we can compare two strings using the same
way without any issue.

What could be the missing part in the condition to always become false?

Thanks.

Re: [Dev] Derby Migration scripts to migrate from ESB 4.8.1 to 4.9.0 (carbon 4.2.0-4.4.0)

2015-09-15 Thread Maduranga Siriwardena
Hi Viraj,

If you compare the h2 script and derby script in carbon 4.2.0 release (and
should be in ESB 4.8.1 and 4.9.0), the changes you have mentioned are
already in the h2 script. So these changes you have found in derby scripts
seems to be bug fixes.

Thanks,
Maduranga
