Re: [Dev] Distinguish dashboard customize functionalities
Hi Udara, IMO if we are give gadget rearranging support in both screens, it will confuse the user. And technically we have to sync the arrangements in both places. So what I think is we can separate these two features depends on the persona/user-type. Dashboard designing is an administrative/managing task. So dashboard designer should enables only to that type of users. And the users who has view only permission can have the features that supports on dashboard view level. I think it will have better user experience as well as less confusions. So we don't have to worry about the namings in that case. Then we can simply have an "Edit" button to enable the dashboard view editing. And for users with dashboard designing permission can have a link to "Dashboard Designer" WDYT? Regards! Re: [Dev] [DAS 310] Changing the logo of the dashboard
Hi Sachith, Basically you have to overwrite the " *repository\deployment\server\jaggeryapps\portal\theme\templates\dashboard.jag*" file by copying it and pasting it under " *repository\deployment\server\jaggeryapps\portal\extensions\themes\basic\templates\dashboard.jag*". That's how the DS theme the extension work. If you want to have a custom theme folder, you can simply create a new folder under " *repository\deployment\server\jaggeryapps\portal\extensions\themes\* "* ( **NOTE:- You have to follow the same structure as the "basic" theme folder. **) *and update " *repository\deployment\server\jaggeryapps\portal\configs\designer.json*". that will pick the "custom-theme" instead the "basic". See the example designer.json config sample below, { > ... > "theme": "custom-theme", > ... > } For more details please check: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sr3bTWyBN9bu_JYI9mGVSeLlkU0_RFXpanoSTDiNT_I Cheers! Re: [Dev] [DS] Support primitive edit operations (moving and delete gadgets) operations in the view mode
Hi Sinthuja, +1, I also think its better. We can simply enable designer mode only for designers and admins. And end users will have the capable of doing simple modifications on view mode it self. Re: [Dev] [DS] Support primitive edit operations (moving and delete gadgets) operations in the view mode
Hi Udara, IMO, there should be an option for end-user (non-admin) to arrange there are gadgets etc ... (personalization) in the dashboard. But this is an optional feature. And which can be turn on/off by the dashboard creator/editor. Only dashboard designer/admin will have the permission to change the advance settings by login to designer mode/view. But again this depends on the dashboard type (static/dynamic). I believe this will make layout bit complex. Hi Chanaka, Shall we check if there is any other library for the requirement? I think its better if we double check. And I believe its possible to style the dotted lines etc ... You can get an idea from the treeview in Theme WSO2 [2]. And if we need any additional icons we can add to Font WSO2 [1] and use. Hi Kamidu, This is the method which is given by the DataTable examples [1]. And yes if it's published back-end API call, it will be not a best practice. Hi Kamidu, This is to fix *exact *match filtering in front-end level. "^" for starts and "$" for ends with, for more details check html selectors [1]. e.g. This will fix the issue where it shows "in*active*" queries when we filter for "*active*". And if this is causing any issue for back-end processing. We should handle it from the back-end or before we make the back-end call. [1] - http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css_selectors.asp Cheers! Re: [Dev] Displaying the username & email of users in EMM console
Hi Kamidu, Agreed that EMM is an end user application. So yes, if you get something like *@ *along with an email address will confuse the user. But since this is an end user application, showing the username like *@ *seems wrong to me. Here we should actually show a Display Name (ex:- Jerad Rutnam) and we should prevent special characters there, otherwise this will confuse the user. WDYT? So if we have a special use case like this, then yes we can use icons to avoid misleading the user. Re: [Dev] SVG to PDF Converter?
And if anyone wants to convert SVG to Canvas without a library, you can use this method. (*Only issue I faced here is that it doesn't have a method to get external styles*) var svgString = new XMLSerializer().serializeToString(document.querySelector('svg')); var canvas = document.getElementById(canvas); var ctx = canvas.getContext(2d); var DOMURL = self.URL || self.webkitURL || self; var img = new Image(); var svg = new Blob([svgString], {type: image/svg+xml;charset=utf-8}); var url = DOMURL.createObjectURL(svg); img.onload = function() { ctx.drawImage(img, 0, 0); var png = canvas.toDataURL(image/png); document.querySelector('#png-container').innerHTML = 'img src='+png+'/'; DOMURL.revokeObjectURL(png); }; img.src = url; Cheers! Hi All, After days of search I found an example [1] which have the zoom-out to fit view-port functionality. It's base on d3.js and cola.v3.js. So I was able to get a calculation idea from it. Re: [Dev] D3 Graph to Center-Middle
Hi, Centering graph works fine with below calculation. But it effects the *zoom.event* which works fine at the moment. So I had to revert it back to the old method. var graphBBoxClient = graph[1].getBoundingClientRect(); var x = graphBBox.x 0 ? (graphScreen.width() - graphBBoxClient.width) - Math.abs(graphBBox.x) : (graphScreen.width() - graphBBoxClient.width) + Math.abs(graphBBox.x); var y = graphBBox.y 0 ? (graphScreen.height() - graphBBoxClient.height) - Math.abs(graphBBox.y) : (graphScreen.height() - graphBBoxClient.height) + Math.abs(graphBBox.y); d3.select(svg g#mainG).transition().attr(transform, scale(+scaleAmount+) translate(+x+,+y+)); So i'm trying to calculate it properly using the current values, which i'm getting already. but bounding box coordinate values cause a problem. If anyone can help me to figure it out the centering graph would be appreciate. Here is my current code, var zoom = d3.behavior.zoom().on(zoom, redraw); function getCenter() { var center = { x : this.width / 2, y : this.height / 2 }; return center; } function zoomIn(){ var coor = zoom.translate(); var x = (coor[0] - getCenter().x) * 1.1 + getCenter().x; var y = (coor[1] - getCenter().y) * 1.1 + getCenter().y; zoom.scale(zoom.scale() * 1.1); zoom.translate([x, y]); zoom.event(svg); } function zoomOut(){ var coor = zoom.translate(); var x = (coor[0] - getCenter().x) * 0.9 + getCenter().x; var y = (coor[1] - getCenter().y) * 0.9 + getCenter().y; zoom.scale(zoom.scale() * 0.9); zoom.translate([x, y]); zoom.event(svg); } function zoomFit(){ var graph = [d3.select(svg).node(),d3.select(svg g#mainG).node()], svgBBox = graph[0].getBBox(), graphBBox = graph[1].getBBox(), graphScreen = $(svg); var graphScreenWidth = graphScreen.width() / graphBBox.width, graphScreenHeight = graphScreen.height() / graphBBox.height, scaleAmount = graphScreenWidth graphScreenHeight ? graphScreenHeight : graphScreenWidth; var xOffSet = graphBBox.x 0 ? -Math.abs(graphBBox.x) : Math.abs(graphBBox. x), yOffSet = graphBBox.y 0 ? -Math.abs(graphBBox.y) : Math.abs(graphBBox.y); // Where the calculation should be done var x = getCenter().x - scaleAmount * getCenter().x; var y = getCenter().y - scaleAmount * getCenter().y; zoom.scale(scaleAmount); zoom.translate([x, y]); zoom.event(svg); } Thanks, Jerad On Wed, Jan 28, 2015 at 11:32 AM, Jerad Rutnam je...@wso2.com wrote: Hi, I found that issue is not the way I calculate, but it was causing by a SVG Group (g) Element Bounding Box X,Y coordinates. Hi, Impact analysis feature - dependency graph UI update, - Overall UI (Metro style UI, match for new ES). - Resource locate feature tweaks and style. - On resource single click detailed view. - On resource double click highlighting resource closes connections style. - Parent resource highlight. - Resource relationship tool-tip style. - Icons for common resources (Currently one standard icon is there - rest of the icons will add in the next release). Please note that there are some known issues which will be fix in future releases (which needs some RD).
