[development-axapta] Inventory Closing

2004-09-16 Thread Jim Jo

Hi all ..

May be this could be a foolish !

Correct me if am wrong !

Costing method used - FIFO !

>From my understandin when you do a recalculation Axapta adjusts the inventory values of those items which were drawn from the inventory on average cost price to the cost price by lot id.

Jus curious .. why cannot it be done while doing the transaction itself.

And if you use the weighted average costing method there wont be any settlements proposed when you do a recalculation.

Please comment !

Regards

Jim.

RE : [development-axapta] Credit Note Reports... Please Help

2004-09-16 Thread bob . brinker

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know the name of the Reports in the AOT that prints the Credit
Notes documents? There is a Credit Note document that can be printed out of
Accounts Payable based on a purchase order. There is also a Credit Note
document that may be printed out of Accounts Receivable based on a sales
order. Both documents say Credit Note on them. I need to find the report
names of both reports.

I have spent several hours but have not been able to find any report that
is called anything like a Credit Note looking under Reports in the AOT. I
would really appreciate any help or if anyone can tell me a way to search
for the report names.

Thank you in advance,

 Bob

[development-axapta] Multiple AOS with multiple Application Directories

2004-09-16 Thread axaptaci

Hi,

I have read some mails about Axapta that we must use One DB and One
Application folder. But our customer has 4 branches. I made this
desired configuration with 4 AOSs but only one of them can work,
others have some event messages about out of license (I found that
the real reason is that one AOS exclusively locks the application and
the others cannot get connected).

When we configured the system with multiple AOSs and multiple
Applications using the same DB, it works... But now we have the
syncronisation problem...

Problem is, when we import a projec to one AOS how can we import to
other AOSs automatically?

Best regards,

Re: [development-axapta] Running Excel macros from Axapta through COM ?

2004-09-16 Thread Amund
Inside VBA this would be something like: Application.Run
Workbook.xls!Macroname

 From Axapta you can use: Excel COM-object.Run(Workbook.xls!Macroname);

In general you may do what you want inside the macro recorder in Excel (or
Word, or..) and use the resulting VBA-code almost as-is in Axapta.

RE: [development-axapta] Multiple AOS with multiple Application Directories

2004-09-16 Thread Matt Benic

We had hell with that too. You should shut down your AOS's and import the
project in two-tier mode, ideally while in the dat company (since it doesn't
cache). At a push, you could import into one AOS, and force a cache refresh
on the others (Tools-Dev Tools-App Objects-Refresh AOD), but we found
that to be pretty unreliable.

The fun part is convincing the business that you need to bring the system
down to do imports ;)

Hi all,
Our network admin has just informed me that there is an open SMTP port
on
our Axapta server. Does Axapta by any chance require an SMTP server, or
install one during it's installation? I did the install and at no stage
did
I manually configure an SMTP server on the machine!

SV: [development-axapta] Running Excel macros from Axapta through COM ?

2004-09-16 Thread Jens Strandberg
Thanks for your reply.

The Excel stuff is set up properly and works just fine, when I run the macro
inside Excel.

However, doing the Run on the COM object in Axapta tells me, that this
cannot be done... :-(

Any additional input ?

Best Regards,
Jens

Inside VBA this would be something like: Application.Run
Workbook.xls!Macroname

 From Axapta you can use: Excel COM-object.Run(Workbook.xls!Macroname);

In general you may do what you want inside the macro recorder in Excel (or
Word, or..) and use the resulting VBA-code almost as-is in Axapta.

RE: [development-axapta] Multiple AOS with multiple Application Directories

2004-09-16 Thread Kim Truelsen \(MICROSOFT BUSINESS SOLUTIONS\)

Hi

You can use the Treenode.aotrestore and treenode.aotrefresh to update
your AOT on all servers

I made a batch job running on all AOS, that restored the AOT.

We had hell with that too. You should shut down your AOS's and import
the
project in two-tier mode, ideally while in the dat company (since it
doesn't
cache). At a push, you could import into one AOS, and force a cache
refresh
on the others (Tools-Dev Tools-App Objects-Refresh AOD), but we found
that to be pretty unreliable.

The fun part is convincing the business that you need to bring the
system
down to do imports ;)

Best regards,

meyaki

Re: [development-axapta] Sequence Number Duplicated

2004-09-16 Thread roberto pineda

Hi Sonny and Darius...

Later i posted this message, i checked the create method in my datasource (LedgerJournalTrans), and realized the that the error was caused by a line code:

void create(boolean append = FALSE)
{
 ;
 ledgerJournalEngine.precreate(ledgerJournalTrans);
 element.setDebCredProposal(true);
 super(append);
 virtualCashDiscDate = datenull();
 virtualCashDiscAmount = 0;
 //LedgerJournalTrans.xar_TipoRegistro = 1; This is guilty line...
 cashDiscChanged = false;
}

I am a begginer axapta developer and i don't know if this is a best practice (to set a default value to a field), but i'll find another way.

Thanks.

Sonny Wibawa Adi [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
Hi, Roberto Pineda,

I have encountered a similar problem. But, I don't know if the problem is the same with yours, because my problem will resulting a jumped number sequence, not duplicate number sequence.
My problem is jumped number sequence when user tried to create a new record in two different ways. The first way is by pressing down arrow («) and the second way is by clicking new toolbar button or by pressing Ctrl+N key. The second way will result a jumped number sequence.

This is the call stack from each way of creating new records:

1. Use Down Arrow and Set Datasource Property InsertAtEnd to YES

(C) \Classes\JournalFormTrans\datasourceValidateWritePost - line 5

(C) \Forms\InventJournalMovement\Data Sources\InventJournalTrans\Methods\validateWrite - line 7

(C) \Classes\FormDataSource\Next

(C) \Classes\FormRun\task

(C) \Classes\SysSetupFormRun\task - line 20

2. USE New Button on Toolbar

(C) \Classes\JournalFormTrans\datasourceValidateWritePost - line 5

(C) \Forms\InventJournalMovement\Data Sources\InventJournalTrans\Methods\validateWrite - line 7

(C) \Classes\FormRun\selectControl

(C) \Classes\FormDataSource\create

(C) \Forms\InventJournalMovement\Data Sources\InventJournalTrans\Methods\create - line 5

(C) \Classes\FormRun\task

(C) \Classes\SysSetupFormRun\task - line 20

So, this is my solution:

- Add a new condition at Create method of the datasource.

void create(boolean append = false)

{

;

if (!MyTable.RecId) // issue about create new line in different orders.

{

MyTable_ds.research();

}

//c

super(append);

//c

}

Delete that voucher list - set the the next number to higher that was used. I think this should help - as fa as I know this voucher problem hasn't been solved even in SP3...:(

Darius

Hello to all...

Recently i have experienced a problem with the number sequence for
vouchers. I entered a line in a journal and set up all data like
taxes, the line entered is valid, so the next line voucher to add had
to be next, but it was not working.

I am using citrix to access the axapta server, i suppose it is a
determining factor but not sure.

I have checked the number sequence list, and sometimes it stores the
voucher like it was free.

Does someone know which could cause it?

Thanks if the question is not understandable, let me know.
Any help will be appreciated.
