[digitalradio] HRD Utilities/TQSL LoTW/JT65
All, Apologize the cross-post, but this problem may cross several lines. Before my reinstall of WinXP this past weekend, I was using WSJT to operate JT65, the logbook in HRD/DM780 to log the exchanges, and HRD Utilities to upload automatically to LoTW. I had no problems with this, but suddenly after the OS reinstall I can no longer upload JT65 as a valid mode. In my LoTW QSO listing, I have 42 entries all with JT65 as the mode, so I know that it can accept it although a lot of the FAQs say that it should just be data. Any ideas what happened on my end to cause this, and most especially, what I should do to get back the ability to upload JT65 as the mode? [digitalradio] HRD and DM780 with Cyrillic alphabet
Hello, Simon. There are many posts from Russian-speaking HAMs about incompatibility of HRD and DM780 with Cyrillic alphabet. The DM780 shows unreadable symbols in the receiving window in case it was transmitted in Cyrillic, and it's not possible to type Cyrillic in the transmitting window. Would be nice to resolve this problem and expand use of this good program into Russian-speaking world. Best regards 73 Vlad UA6JD
RE: [digitalradio] HRD and DM780 with Cyrillic alphabet
Hi Vlad, I agree - but I really have not been able to find someone / anyone who can tell me exactly what the character translation is so that I can do this. Obviously I must use a Cyrillic font, but I have to map the characters I decode. If you can get me the table for this mapping (and not a CODE page) I'll do it. [digitalradio] HRD 5.0
This is obviously meant for Simon (Hi Simon!): So what do we have to look forward to in the HRD 5.0 version of DM780? RX and TX sound card calibration for all modes, I hope! This is the major missing element that drives me to fldigi as my setup requires a calibration in order to be successful on such modes as MFSK and MT63. I have also come to like the waterfall in fldigi better (smoother looking and with zoom) but that is a small point. If a calibration feature gave me the performance I need in DM780 I'd go back to it in a heartbeat. I miss the eQSL and HRD integration terribly. Thanks, K*B*l*0*0*Q
Re: [digitalradio] HRD 5.0
Hi, Off the top of my head: 1) Smoother UI - less cluttered, 2) Soundcard calibration - not yet implemented for all modes but will be in the first public beta, this really is needed for wider modes such as MT63 and 2k Olivia. 3) Improved waterfall with a zoom feature, I find that I need this for tuning in some modes... 4) Seamless operation of the whole HRD 5.0 suite on an Intel Atom 1.6GHz - already running very nicely with my ASUS EEE PC 1000H. 5) Remote soundcard support using TCP. 6) And part of HRD 5.0 is a new and *much* better logbook. 7) as and when I get time more SSTV and better SSTV weak signal synchronisation. 8) Dual (Triple ?) waterfall / soundcard support. Public betas at the end of June, already available for the HRD test team. I'm on schedule and bopping along nicely. And then late in 2009 - DM780 integration with my own SDR console. I suspect you may be right. I have just installed HRD on another PC, with (ostensibly) the same configuration, and it runs without any problem. The only difference between the two PCs that may be relevant is that one (where the IE script error message appears) has Spybot Teatimer running, whereas the other does not. However, when I killed Teatimer, there was no difference. I then killed all the remaining processes that I could without crippling the machine completely, but the IE script error messages kept coming. I think I stopped it with the IE browsers inside DM780. I assume it's HRD causing the problem, not DM780? Yes, it occurs in the DX Cluster window in HRD. Sometimes the script error messages pop up spontaneously without any action on my part, at other times they appear when I click on a callsign to get the QRZ entry. I have never used DM780. My IE is 7.0.5730.11. I even tried running it at the same time as HRD (I normally don't run it at all), but still the IE script error messages kept coming. Hope this helps. -- 73 Ian, G3NRW

Re: [digitalradio] HRD log and PSK31 Deluxe
Hi, You must have HRD running for logbook support. Over Easter DM780 will be made available as a public beta, this is 10x better than PSK31 Deluxe, it has a built-in logbook (HRD logic / database). It runs with / without HRD. If you want to try the internal beta join the HRD forums http://forums.ham-radio.ch then send a mail to the forum admins and we'll give you access to the DM780 betas. Simon Brown, HB9DRV - Original Message - From: Gary [EMAIL PROTECTED] I am using PSK31 Deluxe in HRD and trying to use the HRD log and am having a problem. I am not using HRD for remote of the rig and am just using PSK31 Deluxe and the log book. The problem is that when I am in PSK31 Deluxe and I try to add a record to the log I get a error saying that I need to have HRD open. With PSK31 Deluxe I should already have HRD running or at least that is my understanding. The log works great and PSK31 Deluxe also works great but they don't want to play together. Is there a way to use these two programs and not be using the remote features of HRD. Any Ideas ?? Thanks Gary KE7KPI
